  1. Not a bad idea OP. However I really don't understand why you lot get so aggravated about this. If BW do something good if not, it's not the end of the world.

Annoying yes, but it takes just a few seconds to delete or report. That's right a few seconds. Really this is not worth the amount of threads this subject generates.

its because deleting the spam mail has become a daily chore. Every time I log in there is at least 1 sometimes 2 or 3 spam emails in my inbox. I cant log in without having to delete spam emails. Then try having 16 characters. You have to delete the exact same spam emails from multiple inboxes as well. I play multiple MMO's and this is the only game I have to do this daily chore.

They need to get this fixed and set up a system like the OP suggested with an option to add and remove names to your mail list if needed. Then block all other incoming mail.

  2. -1000000000000/10

creating an event that excludes the majority of the playerbase that has played the games for years is just stupid.

It should have been designed so that all players could contribute without having to create new characters which for some players with full slots isn't even an option.

  3. I want to use my legacy stronghold across both factions and made the mistake of picking Coruscant.

Every time I want to use my legacy stronghold with my imperial characters I have to pay a fee.

Should I have picked Tatooine or Nar Shadaa to avoid paying a fee?

What are my options now, can I change my location or refund the one I bought?

Or do I have to buy a second stronghold now?

My main concern is the legacy stronghold that I put down. Can I pick it up and move it to my second stronghold?

    Thanks

  4. You can get your companions back (for mechanical purposes) via the return terminal. The only content you lose access to is one-and- done stuff, you still have access to all the repeatable content in the game.

yes but while your characters are doing the xpac they will not be able to use all of their leveled up companions to craft with. I don't want my crafters handicapped like that.

What do you mean you lose access to "one and done" stuff? Do you mean that my character will not be able to go back to the old planets to do heroics or gathering?

For repeatable, do you mean PVP and flashpoints?

  5. There is no level 70 currently, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. As for skipping, there is no option to skip, but you can simply not do the expansion. You can still access Odessen, but you'll have to purchase the legacy unlock in order to do so. There is no 'penalty' per se, but you will not be able to recruit any of the other companions (on the flipside, you do not lose access to your original companions, though that will be temporary, anyways). Not doing KOTFE also exempts you from obtaining certain achievements which some have decorations attached to them (Star Fortresses for example)

Aside from that, there is no drawback to not doing the story, you can still get endgame gear via ops, you can still do all of the other side things, such as PVP, GSF, strongholds, etc.

Oh ok the level cap is 65.

I have returned to the game after a break and so far what I have read about KoTFE sounds horrible.

You get all of your companions removed until the end and get stuck with some new ones with no influence, which means I do not want my crafting characters doing this expac.

You get all of the old story content and planets blocked off forever from your character which I do not want to happen with my main characters I enjoy going back and doing old content with.

So I only plan to run the expac once with the free level 60 boosted character which has nothing to lose and don't care about. The rest of my characters Ill level up to 65 though other ways and hope the next expac is better. So good to know if can be skipped.

  6. No, even cyborgs, who ARE technically humans cannot have them:(

And what is even more silly is that if your cyborg character uses the appearance changer in the cartel bazar you are offered the human hairstyles as an option.

I tried to change the appearance of my cyborg and picked an extra human hairstyle which was allowed in the preview screen but as soon as I clicked accept I would get an error message and my appearance would not change.

I eventually figure out that it was the human hair that was the problem and sent a ticket in.

The response was that this is a common ticket they receive.

Then why do they keep offering the extra human hairstyles to cyborgs in the appearance changer if its not allowed and causes an error!!!

  7. LVL 31 & 35 green vs LVL 31 & 35 purple http://i.imgur.com/DwXeAq4.jpg

LVL 41 full green vs LVL 41 full purple http://i.imgur.com/vu2Kb0U.jpg

difference is only mostly in endurance around 2%-5% the quantity of money you need to spend to get full purple is not worth at all

Interesting thanks I can see that damage really isnt that much different.

well ill be getting lots of warzone comms so I may as well use them to buy planet comms and then blue mods which wont cost me anything. I cant think of anything else to do with the warzone comms anyways.

  8. I have made a character that I am only going to pvp with.

The character is now lvl 10 so I am starting to play warzones now.

Can I just throw on some greens and not bother with gear?

Or will there be a noticeable difference if I gear my character with blue or purple level mods?

The only thing I have noticed is that stacking endurance you do have more hit points.

I am guessing that things like +crit and +alacrity are pointless to try to gear up for.

How about +power? will that increase your damage?

  9. I like the Orobird mount, but I dont really like the blue colour of the tropical version.

It reminds of the first Varactyl mount which was also blue. Then they released a whole bunch of different coloured Varactyls after that.

So, since Bioware loves to recolour and recycle things, I am assuming there will be more Orobird reskinned with different colors.

Maybe a black one? Green? White? Anyone have any info?

Should I just wait and not buy the tropical one?

Maybe they will even have a direct purchasable one in the shop?

  10. When was Treek released? A year or so ago now? Its pretty clear that making new cosmetic companions isnt a high priority for Bioware. Who knows if they even have any plans to release another one.

So the next best thing is for Bioware to use existing artwork and already made companions instead of making new graphics. Imagine the money Bioware can make charging cartel coins to unlock existing already made companions lol. I am surprised they havnt jumped on this already.

  11. This is what I see coming out of this idea:

*make sure you have Andronikos, Scorpio, T7, and Risha on one character, send all 4 out on slicing missions for their crit bonuses in slicing, repeat for any other characters that have slicing

*do the same with Xalek, Iresso, and M1 for scavenging crits

*do the same with Broonmark, Torian, and Akavi for bioanalysis crits

*do the same with Vector, Nadia, and Aric for diplomacy crits

*do the same with Andronikos, Kaliyo, Zenith, and Tanno for underworld trading crits

*do the same with Vette, Skadge, and Kira for treasure hunting crits

*do the same with Jaesa, Kira, and the opposite faction's ship droid (buy the sensor for both ship droids) to get 4 synthweaving crit bonuses on one character

*do the same with Blizz, Iresso, Corso, and the opposite faction's ship droid (buy the sensor for both ship droids) to get 5 armstech crit bonuses on one character

    * same for any crit bonuses I didn't mention

What else are you going to do with the potential to have 40 class companions + 2 ship droids + HK and Treek on every character but with them most likely keeping the same old cap of only being able to deploy up to 5 on missions at the same time?

the solution to that is simple.

When you unlock and use a companion on a different character, they loose whatever bonus they originally had and all they get is the basic "Treek" bonus, whatever she gets, because this is purely for cosmetic reasons.

I wouldnt care, this is all about customization and getting to use the whatever cosmetic companion I would like to use. There are some companions I really dont like. For example if I want a healer with my bounty hunter, im stuck with Mako or Treek. I want neither. I want Gus!

  12. No thanks, I can do without this story/lore/immersion butchering idea.

if what I use as a companion to play my characters affects your story and immersion, then you must go crazy every time you see a heavy trooper in a slave outfit riding a Tauntaun right on the fleet ship chasing a Bantha. How did your immersion handle it seeing hundreds of duplicate Treeks on the fleet at the same time?? Let me guess you didnt use Treek! Well. then you dont need to use legacy unlock companions either, its optional. You can ignore it like im sure your ignoring almost everything you see on the fleet anyways lol.

Its pretty clear Bioware threw immersion out the window and doesnt care anymore. Adding Treek allowing players to bypass companion interaction, and plus Bioware already has created many immersion breaking silly companion combos anyways, like a Sith and Jedi Knight being bestest friends and travel buddies, or no matter how many times I get negative affection from Mako murdering people, she never leaves my dark BH. There is plenty of dumb things already. Then there is the immersion breaking species thing, that you can create a Sith or Chiss Republic side class like Jedi Knight. The list goes on.

and like I said, you can only do this after you have completed every companion mission and you are done with them and they become just cosmetic. Pretty much any storyline is possible after that since Bioware never plans to continue the companion stories, why cant we create our own continuing stories?? Maybe Malavai Quinn is sent deep undercover as a double agent to the republic side, who knows!
