Hardly. That's like saying an athlete that accepts a trophy can't feel good about what hes done unless they can shove it in people faces--or a soldier with a medal. I like having proof that I did something, not just the memory. I want to feel like my work was recognized and rewarded.

NO. solid gear tables are the ONLY reason people will do flashpoints, world bosses, etc. I have no motivation to do them if I don't know that I will at least have a good chance of getting gear for my work. I remember running BT 10 times and with only one piece of gear to show for it--I stopped running it because I got too frustrated that I couldn't get any gear for my effort. If I got consistent gear I would have loved to keep going--it was a very fun flashpoint. Knowing that I'm just rolling the dice to even get gear I could use to drop? Hell no.

I love the story, but I also enjoy the grind, too. I like being able to show off my accomplishments--the best thing about completing the flashpoint isn't seeing the story, it's showing everyone else that I did. To me, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing my efforts pay off in a corporeal way.

THIS. it's canon that a Jedi can have any lightsaber they choose--in KOTOR 2 the Exile can have a double bladed red-both most commonly associated with sith, and that's a-ok with the council.
