Is there a numerical breakdown I can look up?

Rolling Republic because it is underplayed. What is the most needed class generally on the Republic side?

Greetings, WoW refugee here. Switching to SWTOR, game looks promising. I am about to pick a main class to level. I don't want to play a class with a lightsaber (I think they'd be too common). I was looking at a few classes: Trooper :: Commando Spec Imperial Agent :: Sniper or Operative Spec and Bounty Hunter :: Any Spec I am looking for a good DPS class that is needed, undermanned and can hold their own in open world 1 on 1 PvP. I'm not looking for OP but I don't want to get facerolled either (which is why I haven't listed Smuggler based off the bad PvP reviews). I just can't seem to pick one. Maybe some advice would steer me to the direction of a certain class based on what I've discussed. Thanks!
