Yep its battleping that does most the work but i have noticed that having a registed OpenDNS account is more stable. The traffic shaping program is not so important. Can also use google DNS or get some form of DNS lookup programs like NAMEBENCH.. --- gives a list of best DNS service providers around ur local location...

Hey, Will be posting the solutions i found to improve my connection and game experience. My current location Sydney Australia my connection PRE-ABN (Australian Broadband Network) DOCSYS 3.0 OPTUS CABLE.NET. My ping status rarely drops below 3 bars and holds strong, 95% of the time it shows a Avg reading. (Lowest ping recorded 164ms) --- (Highest 210ms) --- (Avg: 172 - 182). Will Post Soon

Last night got a heavy status on the APAC RP Server Was wondering if it would be a good idea to transfer all the server types to the RP server and see how things turn..... I know i would transfer if given the choice....

Been playing this game for a long time now and never I say NEVER have i seen my Latency reach 35 - 40ms.. It seems I spike to these figures and den return to my normal 11 - 15 ms when standing stationary.... Often my casts have to be repeated cos it won't register. Almost identical to my experience on Bastion hmmmm:eek:

I play on the least populated server in the game and I along with plenty of others feel it's more playable than a US server. The thing is we 've been playing even thoe the population was so low..... it goes to show how much we actually enjoy this game. A merger of one APAC server is ideal in my opinion.

And different games have different levels of susceptibility to lag because of their engine design and their game play mechanics. TOR is not designed to be played with a high level of lag, its the reason why EA/Bioware delayed the release of the game in Australia until after they had Oceanic servers up. Excellent point

@ Darthnish Not noticeable is an understatement. Good luck in PVP I wonder how many people are really on the APAC Server .. it must be in excess of 1500 surely (registed and playing)
