  1. Don't think it's the new driver as I rolled back to the previous driver and got back in game. I even verified that the old driver was the one now showing in my nvidia control panel and the issue was still there. Any way, I'll see if the issue persists after leaving Alderan. If not, then it's just something amiss there. Thanks much for the feeback.
  2. Maybe it's just something with the game. I know I don't have issues with other games and had no issues on Tat.
  3. Now that I am on Alderan, I have noticed some strange issues with my graphics. My system is configured as follows: AMD Phenom II X4 3.6ghz 8gb 1600mhz DDR3 ram Geforce GTX 660ti . I just updated to Nvidia's newest driver (314.22) and thought that may be the issue I was experiencing. I downgraded to the old driver and saw the same things. The issue I am experiencing is distant landscapes having an excessive "gold" look or tint to them. Also noticed while inside a gradual "drawing" of distant textures as I moved through the areas. I have included a link to a screenshot to show you what I am talking about and a link to a video to show the "drawing" affect. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this on Alderan and is this normal. My video settings are maxed out (1920x1080) and the game runs just fine. I have had no issues anywhere else and do not have any issues in any other games. Just curious. Here is the screenshot. https://plus.google.com/photos/110549255180790046952/albums/5861625631163965809?authkey=CKKhovmpncq1FQ Here is the video. http://youtu.be/wr2ySdSgdhc I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks much.
  4. It's happened to me before. After the bomb was disarmed, everyone on the team was scratching their heads. We were on it, and I mean on it. But for some, cheating doesn't exist (they're the ones doing the cheating and don't want any focus on it). To them, if you claim someone cheated then you must be a horrible player. I truly wish Bioware would adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward this crap. If people want to cheat, hack and simply violate every aspect of the agreement in their single-player FPS then they're only hurting themselves. Here, they're hurting everyone.
  5. Again, it's a game. A game is meant to be fun. Where is the fun in being smashed repeatedly? This isn't about me being soft, cowardly, stupid, ignorant, incompetent, undergeared, etc... You just said you may know it's a loss. So, if you know it's a loss and there's no chance of winning, why should I be punished for leaving early? If there's no chance to win, then my leaving doesn't hurt you anyway. I'm already missing out on the valor and wz comms just for leaving, isn't that enough?
  6. You can't lump everyone into the same category. I don't leave if the first encounter works against me. If after a while it becomes apparent that I will not even be able to compete, I may leave. This isn't life and death here. It is a game. If you choose to stay in warzones where you have no chance of competing then that's fine, it's your choice. If it's one of those warzones where the entire imp team may have 1 or 2 deaths total, then I don't think my leaving is going to make much of a difference anyway. I think it should remain my choice, penalty free. Besides, I wonder how many people who support punishment would be the first to complain about the punishment if you got disconnected (through no fault of your own) in the middle of a warzone? Just curious.
  7. I forgot about disconnects and crashing to desktop. I agree. Excellent points. There are just too many variables involved for Bioware to punish people who leave warzones early. Besides, there's no way for Bioware to know exactly why a person left the wz early.
  8. I could not agree more. Being able to choose warzones would, in my opinion, make pvp more attractive to everyone.
  9. I see your point and you are free to stick around in any warzone, no matter what the outcome. However, where is the fun in being smashed to oblivion within seconds each and every time you and/or teammates attempt to capture an objective? That may be fun for you and that's fine, but it's not fun to me nor is it fun to some others. Everyone is different. What if the other team is using hacks/cheats to dominate the play? Should I still be penalized for quitting a match I have no chance of competing in (unless I cheat myself)? I see your point and definitely understand your frustration as I have been on the losing end of people leaving a wz too early. I simply think there are too many variables that need to be addressed before Bioware attempts to penalize players for leaving early. Besides, the punishment is built in. You're missing out on comms and valor when you quit early.
  10. That's another great reason why there should not be a penalty. Should a player have to answer questions as to why they left a wz after they quit in order to avoid the penalty? Should the mother or father be penalized for leaving to attend to a sick child or to take an emergency phone call? There is no one-size-fits-all solution to this. Penalizing people for leaving a wz early for attending to real-life issues may only stop people from pvp'ing and possibly cause some to stop playing the game completely. I don't think, at this point, Bioware can afford that.
  11. I can't agree with you more. There is nothing fun about being smashed over and over again in a wz. There's nothing to be learned there.
  12. I agree. I don't leave warzones because my team is losing. That's a part of the game. I leave when I know there isn't a chance of even competing. That isn't fun. As I said before, PVP should be enjoyed, not endured.
  13. I do not believe there should be a penalty for quitting a warzone. First, Bioware must adopt a ZERO tolerance policy for cheaters/hackers. It completely ruins the experience for other players, especially in pvp warzones. Until Bioware does this, there shouldn't even be a discussion on penalizing players for leaving warzones early in my opinion. Second, the queing system for SWTOR pvp needs to be revamped. It too often pits pug groups of undergeared players against premades in full WH/EWH gear. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for an instant win in every wz. I just want to be able to comptete. After all, this is a game and a game is meant to be enjoyed. I DON'T enjoy being burned down in a matter of seconds with every encounter in the wz (even though I'm in full WH/EWH). PVP should be enjoyed, not endured. I know many people believe there should be penalties for leaving a wz and many excellent points have been made to support that argument. However, until the above mentioned items have been seriously addressed by Bioware, I do not believe a penalty should be implemented.
  14. I have a lv. 50 Jedi Shadow that is always flagged for pvp in swtor. I am always looking for an opportunity to gank another player while I run my dailies. I have outfitted my companion Nadia Grell with some of the mods from my Battlemaster gear in order to give her expertise, in the hopes she will be able to do more damage to other players. My question is, does this help or was this a waste of time and credits (to pull the mods from the bm gear)? Thanks for any help you can provide.
  15. I have a lv. 50 Jedi Shadow specd for DPS. I am looking for some purple enhancements for my companion Tharan Cedrax. I'm not sure what to choose as I don't completely know what all the attributes (such as alacrity, power, etc...) do. Tharan's main attributes are cunning and endurance. Any help (without all the mmo jargon as this is my first mmo) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
  16. Hi all. I've got a small issue here that I was wondering if anyone could help me out with. Each time I try to take a screenshot in game using my Printscreen key, it seems to copy the screen successfully. However, when I open Paint to past the screenshot, all I get is a black screen. I have tried using the Printscreen key to take a screenshot of my Windows desktop and it works fine. It simply will not work in SWTOR for some reason. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and actually resolved it and can possibly help. Thanks in advance.
  17. I'm still enjoying the game and leveling my character(s) so no, I don't feel the same. Im also new to MMO's so I'm impressed with SWTOR atm.
  18. I downloaded the newest beta drivers for my Geforce GTX 550Ti last night and when I logged into the game, the graphics were a complete mess. Had to roll back to the previous 296.10 drivers. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone considering upgrading to the latest beta drivers.
  19. That's what happens to me every time I buy something. Life isn't fair though. At least you save 8k creds on a new speeder by buying the digital deluxe version.
  20. That's what the problem was. Put Strike back in the #1 slot and viola, I'm attacking again. Thanks much!!!!
  21. I am a lv 18 Jedi Sentinel. I have been using dual lightsabers for some time now. All of a sudden tonight after picking up some new armor and a new lightsaber, I started getting error messages when I tried to attack. It would tell me not ready yet, insufficient focus. Now all of a sudden I can't attack anything. I dropped the armor and the lightsaber I picked up after all this started and went back to using the ones I had before and still can't attack anything. Can anyone help?
  22. So Jedi Sentinels cannot use the force to throw objects at enemies?
