  1. This is akin to saying that you can go clothes shopping at stores intended for the opposite gender. I'm sure if I took you shopping I'd find you something that would fit, but I doubt you'd be very comfortable by the time I'd finished. In fact I suspect you'd complain no matter how pretty I made you look.
  2. Just tell us whether it is possible that we will be allowed to transfer to an RP server. Yes or no. Its a one word answer Bioware, we're not asking for a long drawn out explanation. But until we get that answer in the yellow text we long to see you are making it impossible for people to make a decision as to how to proceed. Oh, and I don't mean paid transfers..
  3. We might not be a huge community here on LC but I was heartened to see so many on here and in game last night who have decided to stick it out on Calypho, at least until Bioware get their act together. I was good to see a little solidarity and even better to see not only RP happening but new upcoming RP event being planned and carried out. Keep calm and carry on indeed. On the other hand I have a second question for Bioware for when they eventually get back to us. There have been quite a few players who have transferred characters to TOFN who are regretting their decision already. Some felt pressured to do so by guilds, others thought they simply had no choice as like many of us they knew that they would not be able to afford paid character transfers (hell I'd have 16 characters to move.. I definitely can't afford that), and some were simply hopeful that they would be able to RP as normal on a PVP server. The general consensus is that a lot of these players are regretting their decision and should either like to return to join us should we ever move to an RP server. So my question is this, is there any system in place for these players to move back to Calypho? I have heard mention of a 72 hour window to move characters back ( I have nothing to back that up other than hearsay, I haven't moved anyone nor will I to a PVP server) but even if that were true then we need a response relatively quickly or a chunk of our community is going to be stuck somewhere they hate. I told them to issue tickets, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
  4. Why would we be happy? You may be completely blind to the RP community, but then I suspect that you like most PVPers don't leave the fleet too much. And though some RP does occur there, very little does. I have two accounts full of characters which are used for RP reasons and with the exception of a couple who are used to help run a cross faction cantina for the RP community none of my RP is held within guilds. It is all inter-guild and even cross faction. I won't dispute that there are some RPers who restrict themselves foolishly to guild only RP but the beauty of having an RP server is that you are never quite sure who you will meet and how events will proceed. I don't see that happening on a PVP only server. I'm sure at this point you are rolling your eyes and if you are that only goes to prove why you don't understand why some of us are annoyed at the direction Bioware have taken. If you don't understand why this is a problem, fine, but rest assured to some of us it is.
  5. Oh and just to clarify something to the people who are wondering why the RP crowd were not 'vocal' about this issue before, or at least not as much as the PVPers. We were the ones who remained patient, we remained calm, we didn't kick up a fuss and cry and scream and stamp our feet because frankly it never occurred to most of us that we would would be treated this way. We just thought it was a 'matter of time'. This is pissing on us without having the courtesy of calling it rain.
  6. Shark fishing it is then.... In all seriousness this transfer is neither use nor ornament to me. If I wanted to play on a purely PVP server then I would have rolled on one to start with. Those two little letters make all the difference. Please could someone clarify what 'As of right now' means. If that means we will be able to transfer to an RP server at 'some point' (and I don't mean paid transfers) then I'll keep going. I'll be patient. I'll wait. If not then Bioware have just condemned a eager and active community to a slow painful death. Thanks for that. I really hope you selfish whining sods are happy with your transfer to TOFN. Oh wait.. you are. Bastards.
  7. Look I'm waiting as patiently as I can for word on the transfers and granted I'm annoyed that we don't even get an update just to remind us that we haven't been forgotten. However, if you think that a bunch of angry PVPers demanding to go to TOFN counts as qualitative feedback then you shouldn't be surprised that you haven't had a response yet. And on the off chance that you selfish buggers, who forget the RP section of your server get your way due to your constant ************ and whining for the past week and I end up being transferred to a PVP only server, well... I suspect I'll be spending the next few weeks rounding you all up to give you a first hand look at the wonderful world of shark fishing. Just saying.
  8. Just send them to us, we'll look after them.. or kill them. It could go either way.
  9. Either open us up as a possible destination server for other RP (and possibly PVP) servers or allow us to move elsewhere. I know a lot of the people here demanding moves are PVPers who for some reason known only to themselves rolled on an RP server with no interest in RP. However, there may be PVPers on other servers who would like the chance to RP, so open it up and make it fair if you see fit. Despite what the lunatics in this thread will tell you there is still a decent amount of RP on this server, not nearly as much as I would like but it is there. We lost a large chunk of our RP community in the last month or so to the Progenitor, and perhaps the simple straight forward thing to do is to re roll. The problem with this is two fold. While there are the more obvious concerns of gear/legacy/money and having to level characters again the bigger issue is a harder one to fix. Some of us have spent hundreds of hours over the past few months developing our characters and their relationships with other characters, or in some more ambitious players games building IC powerbases. I'm aware that this is about the point where all the PVPers whining about wanting to go elsewhere start to roll their eyes and the lunacy of role players but then they chose to play on an RP server so, k'atini! This is why some of us don't want to move. Having to change names/social circles will affect our game time far more than any reacquisition of gear/legacy. So, to reiterate, open us up as a destination server. Let the population balance itself out, we'll take care of the rest.
