  1. so for combat macros... my friend is running a programmable keyboard that allows him to press on button to do what an old /castsequence macro in wow used to do... in SWTOR. He has an advantage over other players because bioware doesnt want macros in game? if people use hardware to do it anyhow what does stopping macros in game actually do other than force people to go get the hardware to stay on a level playing field...? Anyhow probably a mute point D3 will probably take up most of my time shortly...
  2. Hi, As the heading suggests I have recently moved from WoW to SWTOR to give it a go as I have finished all the content WoW has to offer at the moment... 1. I play a pally tank/heals and druid tank/heals... I noticed that SWTOR doesn't have any classes that can do both roles... is this a feature we can look for in the future? 2. As a tank im having issues with holding large groups (no addons like taunt master, tidy plates or even a threat meter to see which mobs will require my taunt... (which btw has a silly long CD) my question is how do you maintain threat on large groups of mobs and is there any hope you will reduce the taunt CD at some stage? 3. As heals I have issues with clicking the portrait and then selecting the spell i want to use while moving and staying out of damage on the ground (fire etc) is there some way of setting up spells to cast on mouseover? or can anyone suggest a mouse that can be programmed with macros to help? 4. On the topic of macros... why cant you create them? am i doing something wrong? I have tried every combination of /macro with no success... I used to love the challenge of writing macros to reduce the number of buttons required to be on my screen... do I have to get a programmable keyboard to use macros? any help would be appreciated....
  3. as I said... "If" SWTOR stays up for 7 years or more.... its 1 year out of 7 it would be down for people in this region... or 14.3% of the available time... In any case they should just give people based in regions like this a 10-15% discount for subscription fees to compensate for the non supply of service. I understand that if they want to take all the servers down at the same time... and that time fitting in with the majority of subscribers... but those of us who do not live in the US should not be rated as 2nd class simply because of our geographic location. Either discount our subscriptions or give us FULL service... I as with many players I talk to would prefer to pay full price but simply be able to play when we want to...
  4. Will my ex-wife do? I'll even ship her to you free of charge... you just have to take over the child support payments...
  5. On a positive note.... I love the 20ms latency I get for having a locally hosted server
  6. And yet again.... server will be offline at 6pm tonight.... I thought WoW was bad with its timing but they at least normally give Australia until 10pm which allows you to do dailies after work etc... an australian server going offline at 6pm. Pretty clever... Why not IP lock servers to stop US based players logging into AUS servers and vice versa and take the servers down at "off peak" times in all zones. A great time for Australian servers to go down for maintenance would be just as the US ones come back online... As it is if you work here in Australia you only get 6 out of the 7 days you pay for available for play. It wouldn't be as bad if we only paid for 6/7 of the price but nope... I have played WoW since release and if SWTOR maintains its current timing for taking down Australian Servers if it lasts as long as WoW has... It would be the same as paying for a whole year over the past 8 without being able to log in.... hardly a "Small Issue":mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
