  1. I had to laugh at this. The sad reality is that this is a prime example of how metrics can be (and seemingly are) misinterpreted. I'm sure the game data are now showing a surge in WZ popularity. This must mean PVEers love PVP all of a sudden, right?
  2. I'm not sure what I did differently but it was open for the three of my toons that got that far.
  3. This just goes to show that no game is one-size-fits-all. Frankly, I preferred being scaled down in SWTOR to having everyone (and every zone) scaled up in ESO. I disliked that my top tier crafters could only gather top tier mats. That said, I did enjoy ESO for 6-8 months. Some of the NPC dialogue is quite funny and worth hearing again on alts. Yes, checking their General Discussion forum (and Alliance War forum for PVPers) to get a feel for the state of the game is not a bad idea.
  4. Climb the bones. Turn around and jump to the hanging bit of screen. From there, jump to the screen on the left (this may take a couple of attempts) and walk to exit.

This is such a sad thread but it seems you have reached that place in the game where you have absolutely no hope left. Before you cast the remaining members of your dynasty into the void, please wait and see what Thursday's live stream reveals. Perhaps there will be a reason to go on living. Edit: I watched the stream. Carry on.
  6. I don't think that two instances is an indicator of good health one week after a major update. I would have expected a lot more.
  7. I'm adding my virtual pat on the back to those who worked hard to deliver an engrossing story. Hats off to all the employees who tried to do the best they could with the resources (and creative license) they were given. Gamers tend to be a pretty unforgiving lot who will scream blue murder when something goes awry. And, more often than not, we forget or neglect to be as generous with our praise when we truly enjoy the content. Thank you. And curse you for the choice you made me make. I will not be renewing my sub, but that is not your fault.
  8. I've just posted a workaround in the 'battle of odessen movement bug' thread (Bug Report section) that got my commando through it. Since phase walk works too, I'm wondering if positioning, as in on the platform up the stairs, is the answer. Good luck.
  9. I managed to get around this on my trooper armed with the weapon from the Satele/Marr chapter. After picking up the knight's shield, I went and stood behind the console up the stairs. Arcann will follow you up and fight there for a bit. Use the shield as you normally would and bash him whenever you get the chance. He will eventually jump to the place where I would get stuck and start throwing lightning. When there is a pause in the lightning, turn off the shield and use the reflect/bubble skill from the special ability bar. Turn the shield back on. Rinse and repeat. The reflect skill will take him down, albeit slowly. It's not pretty and it's not fast, but it worked for me.
  10. Although it is entirely possible, I find it hard to believe that the story writers would take away companions, especially LIs, without having a plan to return them. Perhaps budget cuts have forced the devs to go to Plan B, which sidelined the comps' return, but I believe they know how much our companions mean to a great many of us and are working on getting them back in a manner within their means. I'm not 'whiteknighting'. I strongly dislike the turns the game has taken over the past couple of years. I'm secretly hoping that 6.0 will have our characters wake from a coma to find that the last couple of expansions were just a nasty dream and it's back to Pub vs Imp, business as usual.
  11. Thanks for clearing that up. I suppose the alternative to post-300 grinding is to save all your crates until you reach that level. I wonder if that's do-able.
  12. Hang on, I think there's a flaw in my original theory that the grind starts at 300: if you only get a crate after completing a level and there are 300 levels, then the gear you have at 300 is all you are going to get. No more levels = no more gear. So if your luck really stunk while grinding to 300, there will be no way to improve your gear. And, by the sound of it, you'll be Level 300 with one piece of 300 gear (which may or may not be green vendor trash). All the other pieces will be less than 300. This doesn't sound right.
  13. I may have been looking in the wrong places, but I cannot find an adequate description of the levelling/gearing process. Am I right in assuming that your character's stats and the gear you get at Command Level 200, for instance, would be inferior to that of Command Level 300? If this is the case, the actual "end-game gear grind" would only really start at CL300. Yikes!
  14. I ran the Heroic Star Fortress again today after mapping the temporary skills bar. The two quest items were in slots 1 and 2. When I used Heroic Moment, those slots were occupied by Orbital Strike & Flamethrower legacy skills. Unless there is a workaround that escapes me, it seems you cannot use HM and temp skills at the same time.
  15. I was attempting to solo the Heroic Star Fortress. In the reactor area, I popped HM and no longer saw the 2 abilities specific to that stage of the fight (shield and boss stack remover). Do these sets of skills both share the same temporary ability bar? If that's the case, perhaps HM should have its own bar or the option to hotkey the HM abilities should be returned. Or did I just miss something in the heat of the battle?
  16. The boxes on Yavin seem to have been hit with the nerf hammer and I think this has carried over to boxes received from missions. Definitely something that needs fixing, else you are just gambling in hopes to get purple mats or a mission.
  17. Can anyone reply to this, please? When I started patching, it said 8.72G to download but that's probably only Step 1. Someone above said something about 16G. If that's the case, I may as well go paint the house while I wait - I'm lucky if I can get 1G/hr on my DSL connection.
  18. Possibly, but the OP said just doing dailies. My total included a couple of slicing nodes when they popped near me.
  19. Tell me your secret on how to make a million, please. Running the dailies, all the bonuses, the weeklies, and selling all the drops gave me 206,138 credits.
  20. Vigilant's website is also more or less functional now. Drop us a line and we'll get right back to you. http://shadowlands-vigilant.enjin.com/contact
  21. Pardon the noobish question, but is there a resolution to this? Can a gamemaster manually give you credit for it? My toon has been parked at the datacron because I don't want to have to attempt it again. I'd really like to get the credit and be able to move on.
