  1. LvL 75 Juggs have 306 Descent of the Fearless with gold Armor Penetration amps and 286 augments The Juggs below lvl 75 that do the biggest hits are either below lvl 20 or lvl 70-74. And the ones that are lvl 70-74 do much more damage than my lvl 75s do. Which would indicate to me the old set bonus is better than Descent of the Fearless. I don’t believe AP is the best amp for PvP btw. It’s gonna be either Wep Exp or Force Sens. Across all specs. Mainly because players have less armor rating than bosses do in PvE. Also, the reason you’re probably seeing bigger dps in lowbies is because you’re probably bolstered as **** (from the sounds of how you gear your lowbies) and chances are you’re playing some super low level players who either don’t have gear, used a character boost, are new, returning, etc. whereas nowadays you go into most 75s PvP even regs and there’s a good chance everyone is in 306 even if it’s not set pieces.
  2. Hottie I have 234 Hilt and Amroring for MB/OH and then I have 9x 240 mods and 7x 234 enhancements. And my armorings for set bonus is a mixture of 230 and 208. I believe after having ready your post I am good for bolster then correct? Or do my mods and enhancements need to be either all 240 or all 234?

  4. Hottie if I have 230 set bonuses everywhere it's still okay to use 234 hilt and armoring in my MH/OH without losing stats from bolster correct?

    Jugg broken?

COULD.NOT.AGREE.MORE Ranged classes in this game will always wreck the melee classes. Such a ********* imbalanced game. Idk why I thought PvP would have improved. Time to unsub again.
  9. So most of this was too long for me to seriously read it at work and actually comprehend it. Is there a PvP no **** soft cap for crit and or alacrity
  10. Hottie this may sound strange but I used your Healing Scoundrel Guide to base my gearing off my DPS Vig Guard. Mainly your soft cap percentage and so forth. For 5.0 I have read your Medicine Guide and I read that ~1900 Crit and ~1800 Alacrity is what you want. I have been testing out with 6/8 crit/alacrity and 7/7. Your recommendation was to go for a split between the two and I have used that strategy in 4.0 and now in 5.0 and it seems to be working well. My question is: the 1900 or 1800 rating for crit and alacrity--is that bolstered or unbolstered in 230 gear? I'm currently in full 230 gear except my ear, implants and relics are 230 Purple Mk4 (idk if that matters but they were crafted not in a crate. In short, in full purple 230 gear, is my crit and alacrity rating supposed to be at 1900/1800 bolstered or unbolstered? Also, for DPS what are your thoughts on accuracy in PvP now?
  11. Lackey's guide is great for PvE but I don't believe that accuracy is as needed in PvP as it is in PvE so having the soft cap for crit and alacrity will help PvPers gear easier. Hottie lemme know when you find out the soft cap for those two stats please. And thanks for the good work.
  12. Hottie do you happen to know what the new soft cap for crit and alacrity are? Just wondering because in WZs I'm now having above 10% and I just don't want to be wasting stats on too much alacrity.
  13. Gotta agree with what was said mostly in here. I have used ALLLLL sorts of combinations since 4.0 launched and finally did some actual data with parsing and recorded the numbers. So far the best overall DPS and Damage was full crit enhancements (10) and 14 power augs. I've tested with over 15% alacrity and my God is it fun!!! But after doing hours of parsing with 9 different combinations of gear against a war zone dummy, my overall conclusions are that it really doesn't matter. Sucks to admit because I wish there was a difinitve answer for the gear but there really isn't. I stopped wasting money swapping out enhancements and augments and I stayed with 5/5 crit and alacrity enhancements and 14 power augs. But I'm pretty sure I'm just as effective inn war zones with 5/5 crit and alacrity enhancements and 7/7 crit and alacrity augs. Albeit it's more fun with the latter build because more alacrity is always funner to play with but like I said it really doesn't matter. Even having 70% Surge and 40% Crit and like 7.5% alacrity is good but it didn't seem to out DPS any other combinations of gear. Just use what you feel comfortable with and what feels right to you when you're mashing keys. For now, power augs feel comfortable for me and I feel kinda naked without them but oh do I miss my 10% alacrity build :/
  14. I just recently got back in. Last time I played I had about a 50/50 split between alacrity and crit enhancements and 10/4 alacrity to crit augs. Coming back in not sure what has changed and it seems like no one really has the best optimized BiS gear for a Vig guardian. So I tested 9 different sets of gear. I might post my parses and the gear later but I'm on my phone so I don't have the data. The funniest to play with was the hugh alacrity build with over 15% alacrity and wow was it addicting and fun as hell. The best overall seemed like full crit enhancements and full power augs. Of course this was on a training dummy and not AOEing. Personally my favorite combinations always involved high alacrity. But my overall conclusion to trying 9 different combinations is that for the most part--they all do relatively the same amount of average dps. The difference is so small and the reasoning is so circumstantial to PvP that I'm starting to wonder if it even matters anymore. I say it all depends on what your playstyle is and what "feels" comfortable for you. On a parsing sheet the crit and power build with zero alacrity put up the biggest numbers against a dummy. But playing with it in PvP was kind of miserable. Anyone have any thoughts of a difinite build? Or am I right to say it all doesn't matter it's what feels right to you?
  15. Just got done reading the guide. Thanks guys great work. The stat build you mentioned (Zetsuma) was pretty close to what I posted earlier when I ended up doing 3.5 mil dmg and 4700 dps...just a little less alacrity. Currently I'm running 1388 Crit rating 1004 alacrity and 0 accuracy and loving it. Haven't really noticed a difference in overall damage either way, I just like the high alacrity. I'll give it a chance tho and follow the guides stat build. Like I said, I know it works it's similar to what I was using before with a tad less alacrity and a tad more Crit. As for utilities the only difference is that I got rid of the Mad Dash utility for the Vicious Throw one. My plan is to follow the guide and make my own conclusions and repost. I've always been successful following yalls guide tho so thanks for posting.
  16. Mine does too brand new computer vanquish level 3 with a 970 4 gb graphics and an i7 processor can anyone tell me what's wrong?
  17. I've ran with 9% alacrity (8.95% to be exact) and currently I'm running 10% (I think 10.04% exactly) it's 977 rating and I believe 849 gives you the 8.95% which is roughly 9%. Both work. Neither seems better or worse atm. I'm just tired of spending millions on swapping out augs and enhancements. So I'm sticking with 10% for the time being until someone has a better argument. I'm positive mastery and power are worthless now. The question now for guards is HOW MUCH alacrity and Crit? WHAT utilities to use now to optimize dps/dot spread? And lastly, is there a new rotation? And if so, what should it look like?
  18. I've used just about every single set up for a Veng guard and I CANNOT ever go back to zero alacrity. I recommend getting rid of the power augs. I didn't notice a change (neither higher nor lower) with power augs. Just seems so insignificant now compared to your "multiplicative" tertiary stats.
  19. Also I read your 4.0 Guide on Dulfy. I wanted your opinion on utilities for PvP cuz right now I'm a little back and forth with some. Is Purifying Sweep and the Cyclone Slash or Narrowed Focus ones worth it in PvP I'm really like ardent advocate and the blade blitz one in PvP. And as I've been reading your PvE guide I'm getting that you like to spread ONE dot and THEN thrust? Or wait till you have more than one dot? It's probably a little trickier to answer cuz PvP is so variable but I'm having a hard time applying even two dots sometimes and getting my thrust off to everyone. Last question. Do you ever use cyclone slash in PvP?
  20. Ryardus! Yes! I just wanna know what the optimum min max is. I've tried full alacrity full Crit little Acc no Acc. Some power some Crit some power some alacrity and still can't beat a few sents! I mean I'm always up there in dps but as of late I can't beat a certain sentinel and sometimes even one Jugg in particular. Also my rotation. I told you in a previous post my rotation. But what's yours?
  21. Anyone still posting? It's been awhile since the last post...I still need helpppppp
