  1. This is why I unsubscribbed. Just wanted to share. Not looking for trolls. The game is going free to play. What this really means is micro-transactions. I do not support this type of game play. I understand that bio-ware and EA both need to make a profit and I understand the steps that must be taken when this is not done. I support that decision to move in to a profitable region. I do not support this step. I do not believe this is the appropriate step to profitability. Ultimately this will drive away gamers and keep new gamers from signing up what it will do is increase the number of non-supportive players (in terms of monetary support). This is a short term fix and will fail in the long term. An expectation that a player will continue to abide by micro-transactions in the long run is bound for failure. This is playing off the mentality of collectors and enthusiasts. If one understand the economic markets for these trends one can see it is a niche market and the market most often shrinks in time. While one may argue that Star Wars, MMO gaming is in itself a niche market it is still better than a niche in a niche in a niche. With all of this I do not want to waste time on a doomed game. Secondly I appreciate the exclusivity that paying for a game brings. Only those ccommitted enough to the game to want to pay a monthly fee can contribute to the game. I like this. I like that it is very much like a club or league. I do not like that anyone can play the game and contribute suggestions but not pay to support the game. I hope some reads this and appriciates it.
