  1. Ah, but, a hammer is a staple of every toolbox. I'd never use my maghook on a nail. I also don't think Kaliyo is suited to every cipher ops, however to dismiss her skills completely is the sign of a neophyte. My Inquisitor didn't sit on the dark council by slaughtering potentially useful pawns. That would be foolish. Any fool knows that the dark side is fueled by anger, hate, and fear, and Kaliyo practically breathes these powerful emotions as well as bringing them out in others. So, while you kill all those who anger you, I will use my pawns to increase my power.
  2. Any decent cypher agent should understand the importance of adaptability. If Kaliyo is too much of a handful perhaps the work of a military drone is more up your alley. Kaliyo is a tool, and in the right hands a very useful tool. This concept was covered in basic training. You don't have to like Kaliyo to see her usefulness, but as I previously stated, intelligence isn't for the weak minded.
  3. I have 2 Agents and both get along with Kaliyo just fine. One is a murderous psychopath who loves the chaos Kaliyo brings to the party. The other feels that any spy worth her salt should have no problems shaping a simple thug like Kaliyo into a useful tool. Honestly, if your Agent is having problems with Kaliyo perhaps they chose the wrong vocation and should transfer to military service. Intelligence is not for the weak minded.
  4. Well that's great that you can name a few MMOs that never run into problems. However, that doesn't mean that other MMOs don't chronically run into problems on patch days. Let's be honest here, there is a reason you're posting in the forums for this game instead of playing one of those other games that never pull this sort of "stunt."
  5. Today I realized there are a lot of people who play this game that have never played an MMO before. I understand your outrage, it gets easier.
  6. Bioware advertised that you'd have early access to the new content on Feb 9. So as long as they get the servers up before the end of the day (Austin time) they have succeeded in providing you with what you were "promised." Once you've had enough experience playing MMOs you eventually come to understand to never count on playing the game on a patch day. SWTOR has been pretty good about never having a 24+ hour maintenance so far but that kind of wait is not uncommon in the industry.
  7. Normal for MMOs or normal for SWTOR? The answer to both is yes. It is not at all uncommon for an MMO to be in maintenance for an entire day. Honestly, after you've played enough MMOs you learn to have a backup plan on patchdays just in case. I'd suggest doing something else for a bit until the servers come back up. Hope that helps.
  8. Early access to what? You have to know that this patch only adds one chapter and a few more alliance missions. Do you seriously need a full 48 hours of early access to blow through that or is everyone just anxious to get back to the "I'm bored" and "There's nothing to do after you finish the story" posts. If that's the case, I'm totally cool with that, but right now I'm super confused.
  9. So far maintenance has gone over by just shy of 6 hours. So, you want a reimbursement of 13¢?
  10. So, you're saying you want your 13¢ back for the added maintenance hours?
  11. But what about our bet? Are those other people in on the bet? I'm pretty sure you owe me money.
  12. I miss those things about SWG too, but SWTOR is not a sandbox and never was. They are having the same conversation on the SE forums about FFXI (sandbox) vs FFXIV (themepark). They are completely different games with different goals. There are still plenty of sandbox MMOs out there, I can even recommend some to you, but if you're looking for a sandbox you are playing the wrong game.
  13. I really wish I read this before I renewed my sub and bought cartel coins... Oh well. Maybe next time.
  14. Still being developed SWG no SWTOR yes
