  1. Lol, timing http://www.swtor.com/news/blog/20120329
  2. Yeah those were the options I said I tried; they already have one that said they had alternate cooldown effects. Absolutely no luck; it doesn't matter the effect, they each say the same thing - your ability is still on cooldown (even if it is with a different graphic than the rest). Garr. Seriously? ...this is largely just me having this issue?
  3. I'm not posting this in tech support because I'm not looking for tech support; I just want to see how big an issue this is and thusly find where to hold my hopes in terms of when this issue might finally die. So personally, I've always had this issue; ever since beta and then since release (across multiple computers to). My main is a Sith Warrior, and I'm not sure if this issue is particular to them, but despite all the UI tweaks it still shows my Ravage ability as well as any number of others to be on cooldown when it's not...in just about EVERY FIGHT. (I've also experienced this on some occasions when I would (rarely) play other characters.) Sorry to put that in caps, heh...but my god, after 4ish months, I've come to reaaaally feel the pain from this issue. My best abilities constantly leaving me to *guess* when they might be available? Suffice it to say going from fight to fight like this leaves these abilities used at best half the time that they normally are. Not to mention how bad that is for my gameplay (since I can't play so often that I can get that used to it), but it is also annoying as my fights themselves always seem unnatural and not-fluid, since it often leaves me just saying 'to hell with it', at which point I just walk up to a guy and start doing normal attacks very stiff-like, once I've been in a few fights and can't keep track of cooldowns in my head as easily. I'm a bit of a casual player since I'm a full time student so I know I might not be the best person to post about this, but damn does this get annoying when I finally have time to play with the girlfriend and we die over and again in heroic areas and the like because of silly things. So I'm sorry for the bit of a rant here, I kinda needed it. I've heard whispers that this is a fairly widespread issue - but I fear my source's sources might be less than dependable. I did bug this about a month ago, and they said it was reported so I have hopes for 1.2, but yeah. (I think I reported it in my flurry of bug reports I made within the first week of launch to, since I felt like making up for not being invited in anything but the weekend beta, but I can't recall...) I was actually emailed that they'll report the issue to the dev team that month ago, but again - I think I might have reported it about 4 months ago, and I think it's a widespread issue, so I'm not sure if I'm *actually* among a very small minority here or not. Also, I have experienced the same issue no matter which quickslot 'style' I choose, for sake of how to display my cooldowns. How many of you have this issue, even if it's not at all in just about every fight like it is for me? How many others do you know to have it?
  4. This is indeed the next logical question then! And I wonder how they'll present these differences? Will they all still by called Cyborg but with different icons? Or will they all merge, or how will this go?
  5. It's wierd though that it's not just other faction stuff; Empire doesn't get what Trooper Cyborgs do but i think Smuggler Cyborgs get the same as Bounty Hunters...also Sith Warrior Cyborgs don't carry around to anyone else. But yeah I get there are other cases of this. Bioware and friends, how will all these be handled?
  6. I just wanted to ask, since there are in fact multiple sets of cybernetic options available for Cyborgs (i.e., a different set for Trooper cybernetics than a Bounty Hunter than for a Sith Warrior Cyborg), will the Legacy system unlock one set only if we complete that particular cyborg 'race', even though they all share the name Cyborg? In other words, will I have to unlock one class's version of a Cyborg to unlock THAT particular Cyborg's cybernetics for new character creation? Example: Personally, I would love to have the more 'evil' looking cybernetics from the Sith Warrior type of Cyborg on a future Trooper of mine. Will I be able to do this if I get a Sith Warrior Cyborg to level 50, even though the Trooper already has a race called Cyborg that it can use? (Perhaps as a sub-question - if this change is implimented, will the universally shared Cyborg name be changed to something like Cyborg Type Beta for Troopers, Cyborg Type Omega for Bounty Hunters, etc.? Or perhaps alternately, will it all be made easy and all the various Cyborg cybernetics be merged such that every cyborg can get every option, regardless of faction or class?) Long winded question, so I tried to keep it succinct. So, will I be able to get my 'evil' Sith Warrior Cyborg cybernetic parts for a Trooper in 1.2?
  7. Actually I think he just worded it poorly; something tells me he just meant for us to be able to re-do our class quest story areas with level 50 versions for gameplay/rewards. Maybe a new kind of daily, or weekly? Not a bad idea! I'd take that, if that's what it would take.
  8. EDIT: For a shot at this being in the Q&A for this upcoming week, might I rephrase the question into: Might we see something like this in 1.2, or maybe 1.3? Kind of hard to summarize this thread in the topic alone. Let me clarify. I'd just like to make a suggestion for a way to open up old, used-up class quest story areas that one has completed all quests for. That is, once a quest spot (typically for class quests) has been used up, currently you cannot ever go into them again. The thing is, so many of these areas are *absolutely* epic, and deserve to be hung-out in for all those roleplayers out there. As such, I'd like to open up discussion on this by proposing a 'grey wall' instance. That is, instead of a green 'force field' when you can enter an instance for a quest or a red one when you cannot enter, you would get a grey 'force field' to show that a) the area is dead to any real use and b) signify that you CAN enter the instance, albeit just for sake of hanging out. This would be a great boon for many roleplayers out there, and I would imagine it would be far easier to put in the game than, say, capital ships! (Of course, you could also just leave them red and just allow players to re-enter them with their parties instead. That's probably even easier to impliment, if the alternative would take too much work.) Such is my suggestion. Discuss if you'd like, or /second the motion if you approve.
  9. I just saw the new video posted today - it seems to me that this is something other players should be able to get in on! Is there any way this could be implimented post-1.2?
  10. Out of curiosity, what all are you guys talking about with the poor PvP changes now? Is it the lvl 50 bracket thing? I haven't PvP'd much *yet* so I don't know what the problem is...?
  11. There were roughly a million people around at launch, I believe - but how many others are playing now, these days? Anyone know?
  12. I'm a bit confused by something - I thought I saw in the last interview with Gamespy (not today's, but the last one) that the Legacy system was going to be something that wasn't *just* for your alts, but also could be shared with other players. For example, if I wanted to have a family with my girlfriend's character, or somehow be related to it, we would be able to be a part of each other's Legacy family tree. She's been very much looking forward to the Legacy system for this specific reason, far less so for the sake of creating alts. Is this going to be a part of the Legacy system at launch?
  13. /bump PS-Where IS the best forum to ask something like this? Can't even seem to find a Razer forum.
  14. Ahh general chat and the lack of a search function... /warrantedbump
  15. Just a few problems here since I can't find a better forum about this (got this for the girlfriend so I'd like to get it fixed soon): -The backlit Empire/Republic insignia does not light up -The color gets stuck on purple when we load up TOR, even if it's on Spectrum mode -The DPI sensitivity seems to not want to change even when we switch from wired mode back to wireless after fixing it -We so far think we need to actually restart TOR to get any macros we create to enable (uncertain of that) Those are all of them off the top of my head, but does anyone know what to do about these things? This is our first Razer product. Razer has no forum, so do you guys know how to handle these issues with the SWTOR mouse?
  16. No one...? Seriously, I'd like to know these things Anyone? EDIT: Do we have to make entire suggestion threads for every little thing? If so, where...?
  17. Or search function? Can I...suggest a suggestion thread then? And I'm rather baffled about no search function - I must not be seeing it. Could someone tell me where it is?
  18. Awesome advice - got it to work guys, ty! (still - Bioware, you guys should absolutely be putting a digital gift option up to make this easy; what's wrong with you guys? lol)
  19. It is seriously nuts how I can't find a single way to do this on the internet...I've been searching since a while before I made this post and then some. Does no one know how to do this...?
  20. Last minute Christmas gift for a friend - I want to get them TOR within the next 1.5 hours or so, but looking at the Origin order page, all I see is - everything - you need to buy including address and payment, etc - no way to gift it on the page, that I can see. Pretty sure if I hit proceed it will be a done deal. Does anyone know how I can just get a friend the digital version? Can I just have them notified by email that "Hey, you own it! Here's your info: Etc." or do I actually need to create an entire account for them and then put my credit card info on there? (they're across the country so I have to do it over the internet only) Anyone?
  21. Can't wait guys, awesome! Just please, PLEASE never make us pay for DLC! Expansions like what WoW does would be fine but never DLC like the free to play games...though something tells me Bioware realizes this already, so *thumsup*.
