  1. What is the gear Kira is wearing- really cool!!!
  2. I didn't see a server that you are on? I think I am currently on Harbinger but if you let me know what Server the guild runs in I would like to join it. Definitely Christian and seeking a guild like yours. I mostly do Solo stuff, but always like to help out ppl that are in a guild I can find and support. I noticed it said the Harbinger so might try to find you guys online.
  3. I am planning on running a Guardian tank through story and all, I do exclusively solo/pve so I can't comment too much on the pvp side but last time I ran a Guardian he was fine, no issues. And compared to running with a Sent I found myself far better equipped survivability.
  4. I have been wondering if mine is too much but I just got used to this. Just glad my screen big enough to see still. Might try one of those in this thread though, but I am pretty used to this for now at least. I basically use the top row for attacks and the right side of that row for intterupts, the lower row for heals, defensive toggles and buffs, the far left side column is for the things I switch to or have a long cool down like heroic moment, or Juyo form, etc. Far right is quick utility like med kits, fast travel means artifacts etc. http://i.imgur.com/u4uNuQw.jpg
  5. Going through the story as a healer you will be fine, just have to remember you will have to have your tanks with you (i.e. Qyzen Iresso) if you want to survive. Take turns between healing them and attacking the target they are and you should be good. If you go LS counselor, I think they ending would be rather entertaining for you, that reason alone tempts me to run a PB Shadow (i love to tank). Only issue with the Healer, imho, is that the dmg really ins't there (no big surprise i know) but compared to the TK tree, my fights were half the time. The healer does fit the storyline the best, imho. The only difference that i have noticed/heard between the healer classes is that the Sage relies less on crit and more on power to effect the healing capacity. So basically you would want to stack power over crit for gearing and all.
  6. I don't have my shadow anymore but when I played him before I used the Kinetic Combat tree i.e. defense and it worked out pretty well. Infiltration is good for more dps, you really just have to decide which playstyle you prefer. Memory says those are the way to go, not the Balance tree for soloing. Having Qyzen at first might be better to use more dps but either is viable. All up to you.
  7. I am still working on figuring out Lt Iresso but Qyzen has worked out fine for me thus far. Either way, thanks for the tips from you and others here on Tele as I really liked the powers but still working on how to use him properly. I was using a Seer for a while with Qyzen and I would just take turns healing and dmging them as Qyzens health determined. The main thing I noticed is, as all would guess, Tele gave me far less need for constantly healing Qyzen as the fights were that much shorter. I am pretty sure my gearing needs to be better for Lt Iresso and I just got Nadia so I will play with her too to see which one fits my playstyle the best. Thanks again for the tips all!!
  8. I would have to agree with your overall points. I have little experience with all the classes as I have a bad habit of wanting to do something different with my Character so I delete and redo lol, but I currently just started chapter 3 and find the JC very engaging. I agree with your comparisons between JC and JK. One is the action packed, fast paced version of our society and the other is a drama with action thrown in for xp. I did think Act 1 was fitting but understand why you say it could have been shorter and more in depth, I just think the self sacrificial Jedi who learns an ancient shileding technique to save the Jedi Order is pretty cool. The fact that you save people you never met and want to kill you, help and support unappreciative (at least in the beginning) diplomats, and seek out ways to fight the empire on their own ground all seems very entertaining and what the overly "good guy" will do no matter what the cost. I further like the idea of being DS or LS with the same ending but going about it on different means. Save the Jedi or kill them to save the order, kill those who started the revolt regardless of what their motives because of what it might represent. I speak option-wise as I see myself running the Light Side in everything, I currently am lvl 45 and have 50 DS points and 8500 LS. For the life of me I cannot remember where I messed up to give me the 50 DS but I assume I wieghed the options and felt it was the most fitting. After doing some of the other classes I will have to run again as a Shadow and check out the DS, it is just so hard for me to do, instinct-wise
  9. Yeah, I gotcha, I was just going with the thought that if they had something like this in game, the Jedi could make a Darside crystal into a LS one and vice versa. I know the lisghtsaber itself is what is labeled with DS I or LS I, so in game it would go for that, cleanse the lisghtsaber to be useable by the opposite aligned class, would be nice to have is all
  10. This. Plus I might even add the desire that most characters in game period should eventually be on the list. I know some species like the Iridoniuns would be hard to have armor that wasn't just for them so yeah, besides some basics like that, some races like Rodians are so common to SW's it sounds silly to not have the option in a game this expansive.
  11. There is an ability to "cleanse" in the Star Wars universe that I stumbled upon recently. It is called "cleanse" and it is something a force user did to cleanse a darkside crystal to be able to be used by him as a lightsider. Does anyone else think this would be a cool ability use it as corrupt for DS to make it useable by them. Link below . http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cleanse
  12. I just consider him The Jedi to compare all other Jedi's to. I know some/many will disagree, but that is just me.
  13. The more I read about Luke the more I like him lol. It is just so funny how he started out so irritating and whiny but became the thing the dark side fears lol. Inventing lightsaber forms that use a second lightsaber for defense only. Learning and mastering lightsaber forms that had all but gone extinct and some of which he only mirrored what the old order trained at but not because he knew of them but because they came naturally. When he was dealing with having to defeat Jacyn as the Sith Lord and knew because he foresaw all the different things he was going to do, he allowed Jana to fight him but controlled her body, how can you "possess" someone elses body remove their arm and then allow the host to finish the battle, amazing. As others have said, and so much more.He has my vote .
  14. I think the Jedi hold it the way a lightsaber should be held, it is like the Samurai, which is only held properly by two hands. Gives control, balance, force. Using one hand is only for agression and/or having a free hand to do other things as others have said like choke or punching etc. I like the Guardian stance, it is the most real Jedi stance in the game... imho
  15. This. I love the jumping over the rail, it is cool and easy lol. Troopers is the worse design in the galaxy far far away and the smuggler is fine on the outside for me but on the in, just irritating to run a mile to leave the ship lol.
  16. You were pretty close to where I am. Defender is most fitting for the occupants and the design is as you said very fitting. Phantom just looks like the newest/bestest of tech designs. Fury seems pretty good. The Thunderclap dsigner needs to give his money back. It, to me, is the silliest ugliest design in the game or of any ship ever lol. Besides the Trooper, I think they caught the lore of the ships to classes. I think they did a great job of making them fit the user.
  17. How do you get the stuff from the old to the new? I know you cannot email to yourself, so just curious?
  18. I think he got the names wrong from who posted and your accurate reply lol, not that you didn't know this already...
  19. My Guardian is lvl 37 and I can say that DPS has never really been a problem for me but I cannot say it is even with the Sent's I can say it is impressive and holds its own but not equal or better. I will also point out that others do argue you can build yourself to being on par with it still but never seen it.
  20. I personally don't think it is necessary to glow. I would agree it is irritating also. I know when the burn effects of my Sent hit an enemy the burn so when I see myself glow it makes me think I am on fire lol, where's the water????
  21. I will gladly respect your greater knowledge/wisdom in this. For me, when I used both I saw differences in dmg output between the two and major differences in the survivability of both. My Sent just couldn't survive no matter which tree I used. I went over to a Guardian and had no issues the whole way. At least to lvl 35 which is where I stopped on the Sent and started on the Guard. I am confident this is at least partially my lack of experience with this game and so on but overall I felt a significant difference on both aspects. I have read the same elsewhere but that doesn't matter, thanks for your explanation.
  22. Sentinel for DPS will always outdo dps for Guardian but for soloing and survivability the vig guardian is great. Just depends on your skill and preference. Straight dmg of the sent will always win, out if properly specced/geared.
  23. Vigilance is definitely the preffered lvling spec to date. I use Defense personally but many say that Vig is the best and honestly I am happy for you and your ability to use Focus, I haven't tried it with Guardian (only sent) but in my experience with it and other ppls commentary, focus is great for pvp but for soloing it is the weakest fo the 3 for both classes. I think if you use Vig optimally, it would bring better results even now for pve/lvling, esp soloing. As I said, I prefer Defense/Guardian, am lvl 35 and have loved it thus far, no issues with bosses or elites and I only solo everything.
  24. If you are in the combat tree and not using Ataru then you are liking doing something wrong . Of course this is when you are able to get it, but other forms give little benefit while you are in the comabt tree so keep it active. Opportune strike will be great to add to your rotation, I would typically use it right after you get low on focus or if a pwr you want to use is almost off of CD. again hope this helped... As a side note the Watchman tree is typically reffered to as the best for soloing, combat is a close second, just something for you to consider if you do not feel combat is working for you, main difference is combat is burst pwr focused as the watchman is Dmg over time...
  25. First off I am by no means an expert but this is one of the rotations I have used. I am fairly confident this rotation will work at your lvl. Force sweep and blade storm are good for stunning and as sweep is able to hit multiple targets it should be good for you to start with. the latter part I am not 100% on as I am going off of distant memory, however it should provide dmg increase from your current rotation and slash is good to use over and over if you have no other abilities to draw from. I use riposte often as my main is a Guardian and specced gives buff/debuff's. Force Leap Force Sweep Zealous Strike Blade Storm Master Strike Slash strike crippling throw from here I would react to how the battle goes. Master Strike is great for dmg Only use strike when no other ability is up or you have no focus as it is not very good dmg-wise. Zealous strike should be your primary focus builder as it generates more focus so use it when you need to first and then go to strike. If you intend on keeping Riposte in your rotation as it becomes available you can throw that into the mix, sometimes it can be the only skill available so I would always keep it ready to use when the need arises. I assume you are referring to regular comabt in solo capacity and if not then other realms within the game I cannot speak for, I solo and this is the way I started my rotation with my sent so I hope it helps. You can throw cauterize into the mix if you want as you are able but it is a primary skill used in the watchman tree, the combat tree deals more with the buffs you gain over time causing your individual strikes to cause more dmg.
