I play a sorc, and i also play all other classes.
The sorc is great for big numbers in dot specc, but is not even close to what a lethality sniper can do.
The sniper has block which cleanses all dots no matter what and cannot be interupted/charged while in cover.
The sniper has a finisher that deals close to 10k - why doesnt sorc have this?
The sniper has roll which also prevents the player taking damage for a given time.
The sniper has medium armor
The sniper can use a adrenaline probe to regain resources.
The sniper have a 8 second instant aoe stun.
The sniper also has entrench which protects the player for whatever stuns that may be casted on the player.
Lets take a fight between sorc and vanguard.
Sorc bubbles and starts casting force lightning.
VG pulls , then stuns.
VG Ion pulse - atleast 4k crit - triggers high impact bolt 6k.
sorc breaks cc. bubble is gone.
Sorc now uses force speed to get distance while throwing a creeping terror at the vg.
Vg uses shield which makes the sorcs forcelightning tick for 600 when crit.
the root is off the VG from creeping terror, and vg throws darts/grenades on the sorc. while getting close.
Sorc tryes to force slow the VG, but VG uses OP movement buff - then the grenade and dart explodes
ehh well you see where this is going....
Somewhat i thought that the big damage dealers should be easy targets if focused but the sniper is way more powerful than a sorc.
Maybe the takedown should be a marksman specc talent? and the whirlwind should be instant for socs?
Or maybe the sorc should get a finisher? Give sorc a shroud?
All this also counts for mercs, they are just like a sorc only with ridicilous high crits and heavy armor.
I know many of you guyes think that sorcs are OP, but if focused or in a 1v1 situation its pretty **** if you're not good, and are out of cooldowns.
I just post this for more opinions!
