  1. I really don't understand why a game that is backed by some of the biggest names in gaming industry and probably one of the largest franchises in the whole world cannot provide enough content. Games like TERA, BnS, Guildwars, or TESO don't seem to have that problem. There either has to be a fundamental problem with the game design, that makes creating new content that much harder or the game simply doesn't receive the funds it needs to do so. During one of our last raids, that didn't go too well, one of our members said that the only reason he was still playing is because he doesn't want break up the raidgroup. Sadly, 3 other people of the group felt exacly the same including myself. You can probably do this for a while but in the long run you need to look for something else. So after beeing subbed for almost 5 years I'm leaving this game and look for another one. So, is this game dying? No, not today, but if youre waiting for a the big change you are just cluching at straws. Have fun!
  2. I am one of those returning players and I play on T3-M4. Obviously, I can't speak for all the other servers but on this server, the only group content that is actively sought is PVP in premade groups to maximize efficiency. When it comes to PVE though, you can consider yourself lucky if someone is searching for EV & KP HM. Occasionally someone will ask for the daily group finder op but that's it. Random Nim Raids are completely extinct. But that's actually no surprise since gearing up in PVP is so much easier and far more effective. Even within guilds, hardly anyone wants to run a random hard mode operation because that's only needed to gear up alts with 242 gear. Afterward, it's PVP to upgrade to 248. The only thing that works really well is queuing up for veteran flashpoints.
  3. The only thing you can do to make them listen is to unsub. It took them like 7 month to come up with such a pitiful solution. And all they had to do is change some values in a database table and make sure it isn't op in PVP afterwards. It would have been much easier to just buff telekinetic throw by a few percent.
  4. It seems like most of the people here care mainly about PVP balancing and I agree that this is much harder to master than PVE balancing, but honestly PVE balancing should be a piece of cake. Just take one ability that is unthinkable to remove from the rotaion of the class spec and buff it by a few percent. For example: With a Madness Sage you take telekinetic throw, buff it by a few percent and you're done. This will only make a slight difference in PVP since a madnees sage will still not be able to burst down any other class.using telekinetic throw. You can do similar things with other classes and voila PVE balance fixed and PVP hardly effected. Or you do it the hard way and seperate PVP and PVE balacing altogether. It has been like this form the beginning: Whenever you changed something for PVP it had a negative effect on PVE or the other way around. You took away the old skill trees in order to improve balancing but since then it's actually worse than before.
  5. While I agree that the current system is good method to bring people to play PVP it has rellay bad effect on PVE and maybe on PVP as well. I would really change it in a way that at least BIS gear is seperated into PVP and PVE gear again. So that you will only be able to obtain the best gear for PVE in NIM operations and the best PVP gear by reaching a certain win/loss ratio. A little like Blade and Soul where they have different levels for Arena PVP. Meaning players will be matched with equally skilled players and work their way up the ranks. This way PVP Players would still be able to buy PVE stuff up to a certain level, but would have to play NIM operations to gain this BIS gear in PVE. On the other hand PVE players could still compete in PVP but would have to reach a certain PVP rank to obtain the best gear in PVP.
  6. This is IMO, the most flawed part of the game at the moment. People do a few story mode operations to get the startup gear (230) and afterwards EV or KP HM to get a few easy 236 pieces. Then ist just PVP (GSF) to get to the 242 stuff. So what's the point in running NIM operations since PVP is so much "easier" They just have to do the PVP daylie, weekly and even if they loose they still get components. My guild is running premades all day long because gearing up this way is so much more efficient. Want some easy 242 wrist piece? Just wait for raghul event and do 16 man HM with 8 or less people. Switch to alts and repeat. Add some Nefra NIM, open your crates and you might get lucky. But if you don't like PVE or you don't like PVP you're screwed. Try grinding your gear in PVP from 0 to 242. It will take forever. Try grinding your gear in PVE in NIM operations. You'd have a really hard time even finding a group that does NIM content. Why? Because most people at 236 do PVP for the 242 stuff.
  7. Well, I think a lot of people were thrilled to play the new content over the easter weekend, including me. The least they could do is to provide some kind of compensation event. Like double CXP or something similar ...
  9. Maybe I just missed the big fat patch notes entry, but I was just loking through the schematics of my Cybertech character and I could not find a single Amoring Schematic in the Archive. Is this a a new feature or just another design decision?
  10. The developers that programmed this piece of crap should feel ashamed. It's ridiculous to redownload the whole game to switch to another method of downloading. Any company would have fired me for something like this! The game was fully installed and working yesterday, so why not just patch it with patch that is actually working. Why would anyone code such a complete and utter nonsense?
  11. The Gormak Crystal AlphaWave Inhibitors can no longer be produced or bought. They're neither sold anywhere nor can they be crafted since the scematics seem to have disappeared. They are however still necessary to kill the Nightmare Pilgram on Voss.
  12. Has anyone else the same problem or is it supposed to be that way?
  13. well the patch notes don't say anything about gear. It probably depends on your interpretation of "end up having".
  14. Even more funny is that the patch notes actually state that you should do the same damage when hitting lvl 60 as you did prior 3.0 on lvl 55. That's basically just wrong in our case.
  15. I agree with all of you. Before 3.0 I parsed around 4K in 186 gear and now even with 110% accuracy I can barely reach 3.1K. That's a nerf of nearly 1K. Even with the crappiest telekinetics rotation I'm at 3.3 k now. It's useless to me though since I have little to no experience using TK in boss fights. I still remember the podcast when they introduced new Sage/Sorcerer specs. Everything was supposed to be so awesome. Apparently they forgot to mention the the 1K damage decrease back then. It will probably take them month to acknowledge that balance was significantly nerfed and even longer before they fix it. Meanwhile the sage will be a lot less welcome in any raid group unless it's a healer or a TK sage. Oh and yes, if you don't use disturbance on proc you'll increase your damage by 0,1k.
  16. Here's what we do which seems to work very well. 1st challenge healers (scoundrel and sage/commando) use crit adrenal supported by bloodthirst/inspiration from sentinel 2nd challenge delibirately fail dps challenge and sage/commando/scoundrel dps helps the healers
  17. What's the point of limiting the number of flashpoints you can do per day/week in order to increase your conquest points when you don't limit the number of warzones as well? This way PVP-Guilds have a huge advantage over the PVE-Guilds. If you don't want people to exploit the the flashpoint options force them to kill every boss in the flashpoint to get the points. You could also limit the number of Flashpoints and Warzones that actually COUNT to 10 per Account. I know there are a lot of other things you can do but unlimited warzones ist just unfair.
  18. First of all thanks a lot for this detailed reply. It could be latency but Usually I get those problems in the evening when the server is really crowded I'm sure that I'm doing this because I learned this lesson while playing hybrid before 2.0 Yes, I read that in another guide too and I'm doing it already OK that's new to me. So if I can manage it I keep the TKThrow proc alive until Mental Alacrity is over. Usually I try to use FP if I have both the TKW proc and TKThrow proc which of course doesn't always happen. Prefarably right after Turbulence since TKThrow kinda activates while the Turburlence animation ist still running. Yeah I was wondering if others were doing that as well. Usually I keep hitting Disturbance like mad while I wait for anything else to come of cd. Ok that's it, Ill go off to the dummy now and try your suggestions. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate the time you took to write all that down.
  19. Hello, I need a little help. I'm playing a DPS telekinetic sage and apart from one earpeace and the kell dragon Relic I have pretty much BIS gear. The thing is I only manage to make 3000 DPS on a op- dummy. Now of course I wonder why that is since I'm sure I can do a decent "rotation". Now I compared my parses with some of the highest parses on torparse. The major difference I found was that I only mange to make an apm of 36 whereas the top sage dps in telikinetic do 42! So I tried speeding things up a little and I managed to get to 37 apm or so during a 5 minute parse. But for the life of god I can't go any further than that. So I was wondering if my alacrity rating was maybe totally wrong but I dont think so. I currently have 3,36%: 94 from gear == 1,36% plus 2% fromm the skill tree which makes a total of 3,36%. I can change a surge enhancement to alacrity but it won't make much of a difference. I was getting so desperate that I asked myself if I'm actually able to reach the 42 apm at all. So I made rotation where I only used mental alacrity, disturbance, weaken mind and telekinetic wave whenever I could. Meaning I left out those casts that actually take to much time (turbulence, mind crush). But even with that rather simple rotation I can only reach a maximum of 42 apm. So I am totally confused what am I doing wrong?
  20. I don't remember this being an issue before 2.0 though.
  21. Hi, yesterday we tried the second boss of S&V HM with randomly organized group containg three sages and one Sentinel. Two of the sages where balance specced and 1 of them was telekinetics. After multiple tries on the boss we figured out we're missing quite a bit of damage when it came to the "below 20%" pahse. Since we were fairly sure that each of the sages provides at least 2500 dps on a operation dummy we tried to optimize movement and positioning with little success. What we all realized though is that our 15 stacks of "Force Suppression" ticked away in like 3 seconds during the tries. Apparently the dots of one sage consume the "Force Suppression" stacks of another sage. So one of the sages compared his average dps records from earlier tries (in other raids) on the boss with the average dps on our tries. The funny thing is being the only sage in an operation he was able to maintain 1900 dps whereas in our raid he was only able to do 1700 even though his equipement had improved in the meantime. Now is this a bug or is this one of those bioware features which forces us to mix dps classes in a raid?
  22. WOW!! Thank you so very much for these detailed instructions. I can hardly wait to test this out. BTW I'm the healer and I can finally make some damage^^ I will gather the troups now.
  23. I would be really greatful for any tips on this boss since the whole operation seems to say "hahaha so you thought you're doing fine so far - just wait for it..." We cleared this quite a few times in HM before 2.0 but now it's just damn hard on the healers and DPS. It's hard enough to get one Regulator down in time but the second one in each phase is nearly impossible to kill with only one DPS. We are trying to intenionally call a Rectifier during the third color phase to get everyone healed up and that works out sometimes but so far when we managed to get into the second boss phase it's more or less nothing but luck on our end.
  24. I quess it's our rota/priority list then. But I honestly don't know what I am doing wrong. I usually use WM ->FiB ->SF->TT and MC when it procs. Disturbance only when I have the proc and MC has just been used.
  25. I'm not sure sure what I am doing wrong, but even at full arkanian gear mixed with 3 pieces ultimate gear I'm not getting anywhere near 2400 dps when I parse. I actually have the ultimate power proc relic and I followed your guide pretty closely. No crit, no "lettered" mods and none of the "bad" enhancements mentionend in the first post. The only problem is 4 Initiative enhancements 28 since the arkanian Initiative enhancements are nearly impossible to obtain. The best parses in balance are 2200 - 2300 when I use nano stim, adrenals and power click relic.
