Thanks for all the replies. I'm glad to hear that tanking in this game isn't just a mindless AoE fest like it has become in WoW. My favorite times tanking in WoW was in heroics at 70 speed clearing them and having to cleverly use AoE skills and CC to control the mobs properly so hopefully i will be in for a treat! After doing some more research i think i may try out a trooper, mainly because it has the option of healing as well and the ammo mechanic seems very interesting. Another question though, obviously the game is in very early stages so far so it might be difficult to tell but with tanking at max level how is the player base? Do you guys find yourselves having to pull retarded party members through instances (flashpoints?) or are there mostly intelligent people playing? Also is the demand for tanks extremely high as it is in WoW?

Hey all sorry if they're have been similar threads made already but i have been using the search function to no avail. I am an experienced WoW tank that has quit for awhile and i was thinking about coming back to MMO's with this game. I just was wondering how tanking compares in this game to tanking in WoW and what a recomended class would be (i hate leveling). I played as a warrior tank through BC and WotLK in WoW and absolutley love that style of tanking, though i hate it's current rendition in WoW hence why i quit playing. Also any other hints would be appreciated.
