  1. Here are a couple of ideas that I have thought of

First UI Color: Starts out as Black then depending on which side you choose depends on which color it changes to. If you go to Light Side at 1000 points it turns blue, or if you go Dark Side at 1000 points it turns Red. And just like with showing Dark Side Corruption on your character in preferences you will have a choice to show this as well.

Second: C2N2/2VR8 Main Hand: As the protocol droids are not meant for combat currently they have no main hand. My Suggestion for this is allow cybertechs to make a type of medical scanner that will only be used by them. It would have no damage and either from comm venders, random loot drops, or crew skill missions can be modifiable. This way the classes that get their healer at a later planet have an effective healer untill then

  2. With the addition of the Asian-Pacific Servers to the North American Servers it is high time that the West Coast got a new PVE Server. It is starting to be very frustrating having to wait for another planet instance to be made so I can do my questing.
  3. Actually, I believe they stated at the guild summit that there were no plans to support add-ons.

they stated that at launch there will be no addon support not that there wont be any at all.

    Quote from TOR Wars

With that in mind, it’s not too surprising that BioWare has no plans for addons at the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Here are Georg Zoeller’s words on the subject:

“What we’ve said is, regarding the question ‘Will there be addons at launch’ is “no, not at launch”.

This statement indicates nothing more than that there will not be addons at launch. Nothing more, nothing less.”

  4. No and never will be, thank you for time it took to post this.

    *sarcasm*

i just love how you can make a definitive statement like this and have no proof to back it up.

    *end sarcasm*

the only people that can say whether or not the users can make addons are not going to be in game is not the players but the development staff. there has only been 2 games that the developers did not release an API for the users to make addons with and that was EverCrack with ShowEQ, and Asheron's Call with Decal.

  5. So I was one of the closed TOR Beta testers in the final 3-4 months. I only ever got to level 47 (because of character wipes, which was fine) and the following Quote is my final feedback I gave EA about TOR at that Time (dont freak out, much has changed because now I approach game as someone who has seen the content already. Be honest folks, the first play through is a blast and thats what I was kept to in beta)

(Note: this is long so all you TL:DR people should stop here rather then improve your reading skills)

OK, that was posted about 3 days before beta finished for good by me. And many people agreed with it actually.

As I said my opinion has changed. Mostly because what should have been first priority has not been.

    1) Socialization and interaction:

Well this is the big one. In beta it was obvious TOR was going the solo player mode and I said as much. What we didnt see in beta is how much less interaction would be when players were allowed to play with Voice programs. In beta there was lively chat every day on all planets because we were not allowed to use Vent and Team Speak and other stuff. Everyone communicated via the ingame chat.

They dont do that in Retail so the once lively and interactive community of Beta is now a silent and boring and empty planet after planet. Yeah everyone still solos but you felt like you were in a community in beta. In Retail you feel like your alone.

There is NO COMMUNITY in TOR.

Many of the ideas I put forth would have fixed this and honestly on the Paazaak part I figured it would be in game at launch or no later then 1 month after. Thats how important it is.

We still have no date for Paazaak and Swoop racing and Ive even heard rumors of first expansion.

Speaking for myself, I will not pay a monthly sub and wait a full year so I can PURCHASE CONTENT that should have been in place before game launch.

This topic shows that your experience with MMORPG's is very limited. Yes there is some socialization and interaction in an MMO, but that is at the players choice. Saying that the only reason for to play a MMO is for socialization is wrong. About the comment on waiting for an expansion pack for content, the game barely has 1 major content patch and your remarking on Expansion Packs? There is only 1 company that puts out more Expansion Packs than major content patches and that company is SOE. Let BioWare do their job and release a few major content patches before you start to worry about Expansion Packs.

    2) Companions

I still feel exactly the same about companions. Amazing concept and idea but every single problem and shortcoming still exists and NOTHING has been done to address those issues now 4+ months into release.

Wwhat Problems and Shortcomings are there? BioWare cant fix something if you dont tell them what is broken.

    3) Codex

Still feel exactly the same on this front.

Ive asked people I know if they read the codex and they just laugh at the suggestion.

Every person Ive asked if they would sit and listen to the same entry being read out ala ship droid communications. To a person they have said they would love that.

    4) XP gain

Same issues as pointed out in beta and the xp problem is so huge that its artificially affecting the interaction, community problems of game.

Not to mention its impossible to sell goods in this game as people out level the goods in a matter of hours. Rather then wear the goods for weeks and week if not months time.

    5) RVR

Still feel the same. I was wrong though, Hutta ball wasnt inventive enough to get me to play it. I dont like warzone PVP and I dont like PVP based on equipment stats so I choose not to partake in PVP in this game!

If you ever put in PRE RA DAoC RVR, Ill spend 100s (if not 1000s) of hours in it, but pretty sure that will never happen so what ever, your loss.

    6) Houseing

I figured this would be a expansion issue and I hold to it.

But after reading some of the arrogent and ignorant comments on behave of EA regarding this issues.

If by some fluke in hell Im still subbed by first expansion time, housing HAS TO be in it.

No ifs, ands, ors, simple line in the sand.

    Has to be in it.

The empty lifeless feeling ship losses much of its luster after a month or 2.

    And the rest:

All Ill say is this: (my new feelings in color after the previous statements I made)

    - all my character (7) looked how I wanted them to look in creation. Yeah TOR CC is not as indepth as other games, for a average player (like myself) what they have is fine. *this is still true, player creation is fine for me, I do want more races and armor dyes but character creation is fine*

    - toughness is set to weaker side of normal. *yeah they dumbed it down after beta, its now set to the weaker side of easy. Shamefull. I find myself gleefully hunting champions that im 2-3 levels higher just for a contest many times*

    - Storytelling is excellent as always *It is and this remains true*

    - interaction is on the low side but they can fix this easily *It could have been fixed, but appearently its not a issue as you have done nothing to fix it and patch 1.2 does nothing to fix it. I think this is the BIGGEST insult EA has put towards its player base by ignoring them so completely*

    - Graphics are sharp and clean for a lower end game. But saying lower end truely doesnt do it justice I find *I never expected amazing graphics because EA said early on they were going for wide system appeal. So I was pleased with what I got. I do wish I could utilize my ssytem for high end graphics but this just not that game*

    - Combat is fun *was in beta, its to easy now to fully enjoy when doing to normal mobs. Lately I been turning on audio books and just zoning out while fighting stuff. Rarely do I ever even look at my health bar as I know unless its elite or higher, im fine. Doesnt matter if its 2-3-6-10 regular str mobs*

    - Playable area is freaking huge so if you like to explore like me, your in for a treat *I still feel this way and the SWG fanbois annoy the hell outta me when they say there is no exploration in this game. There is. Buddy of mine and I sometimes just say hell with the quests and go walking around (not speeder riding as you miss stuff) just exploring areas that not open to us. This game has a ton of exploration and its one of the positives I find. I would wish for greater verticle design though. Go play KoToR 1 and visit Taris before the bombing for what Im speaking of. Or go play Rift for open world verticle design. My one complaint about TOR is its to flat*

    - Servers are stable and almost lag free. I crashed once in last 5 weeks that wasnt a server crash and lag was minimal with occational pockets here and there *yup, they fixed all the sever issues I ever had so on this front its good*

    - never tried space but im told its exactly as advertised, up to each person to decide if thats good or bad for themselves *ran a few characters through space stuff and its what I expected. I never been a twitch style player so on or off rails, space was never going to be my thing so its not a reall issue to me*

-expect chaos for first 5 weeks of game after release (do your judgeing after that when things have settled down) *Yeah, I couldnt beleive how badly EA dropped the pre launch ball. So whats really to say on it. Ball Dropped, many picked it up and went home, never to been seen again. EA loves to put out the spin of most successful launch ever and number wise that might be true, smoothness and cust satisfaction wise, in the toip 3 for worst launch ever.*

    Other things:

I have been VERY disappointed with the lack of urgency by EA regarding TOR since release. I always stuck up for EA in beta because I beleive finding bugs and problems in beta is a good thing as it allows the developer time to fix stuff for launch.

I said in beta ending feedback (form version) it would be a huge mistake to launch with out legacy being fully functional and know 4+ months later we still waiting on the legacy patch and now your hopeing to pull people back to game by adding something that should have been there from the get go.

I was VERY disappointed to find out your RP servers were nothing more then PVE servers with a title of RP and trolls that had no desired to do anything but troll and cause problems were not only allowed but encouraged. The non RP nameing and behavior was so bad it was one of the main reasons (not only one but a biggy) for me rerolling on a PVE server were I had no REASONABLE expectations of playing in a controlled and mature Role Play community! Oh and to add insult to injury, the names on the PVE server are over all better and more RP then those found on the RP servers because the trolls that roll the stupid names intentionally on the RP servers dont bother on the PVE servers as no one cares so they dont get the negative attention and reaction they so deeply desire and you encourage and promote.

I was very disappointed with the arrogence displayed towards the community over the pre launch.

I still, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, do not understand how you can think launching KotOR MMO with out Paazaak and Swoop racing is acceptable or reasonable. Not being dramatic here, these were staples of both KotOR games and hugely popular (well not so much in K2 for the swoop racing) items. The very first day the forums opened in 08 you had posts talking about becoming a top ranked swoop racer.

Now the rumor is your going to CHARGE EVERYONE for a expansion to get the content??? Shamefull. Im not against paying for expansions but you shouldnt have to pay for content that should have been in game from the start.

In beta (those annoying pop up questionaires that I ALWAYS took the time to reply to and fill out) you asked if I was suggest TOR to my friends and others. I said yes.

That was then and this is now and now Id say a big fat NO, heck I refuse to ask my friends if they even want to try the free week end right now, wait for everything to be added that should be in game already, dont buy on faith it will be added. If and when you get the game and content to a acceptable level, then and only then will I help advertise your game. Id like to keep my friends as friends longer, thank you very much.

So there you go, thats my revised feed back. I got 3 months left on my subscription and some days I think ill resub on a monthly basis after that but other days (to quickly becoming the majority of days) I find myself bored and ready to hang it all up!

I waited on baited breath for this game since I first heard whispers of it in '07. I wanted to love this game and gleefully play for 3-4-5 years. I lost interest for awhile when the forums just got so stupid I walked away. Closed Beta invite brought me back but this is not the game I played in beta (on many levels) and this game comes up short massively when the story runs out.

Im not a Raider so im not talking that junk. I quite like the idea of 4 man flashpoints (if there was 4 men to play them) over 8+ player Raids.

Im not a PVPer, though if you make it right and fun, Id partake. Gear score and war zones are not what I call fun.

I look for socialization and community in my MMORPGs, and thats where you fall flat on your face!

There is many concepts out there in PVP/RVR, PVE, Cantina games, and more you can do to promote community and socialization and interaction outside of the forced grouping content.

For what ever reason, you just decided to ignore those concepts and designs.

That was a mistake, a big one.

My initial hope was to roll on a RP server (see complaint above about RP servers) as a jedi unguilded that traveled the universe fighting the sith and helping the weak and helpless (other low level players). But the game is so simplistic and easy, most players dont even want a buff from you, much less any help. You get yelled at and called down when you try to RP your character on the RP servers. I cant goto cantinas and play paazaak. I cant bet on the local swoop races. Grouping is so impossible that Ive stopped talking on general as no one responces anyways.

So my suggestion for this game is decide if your a MMO or a single player game and go that direction completely because once you run outta story the first time, this game trying to stradle the fence in both directions doesnt work!

I was hoping for a AAA amazing Star Wars MMORPG

    I still am!

But I did get a AAA Massively Single Player RPG with limited multiplayer options (just dont look in game for the multipler people, bring your own buddies like a offline multiplayer game set up).

    Thats my feedback, suggestions, responce.

Coming out of beta I was very excited and hopefull

With in two months that had been crushed to disappointment

Now I just dont care anymore.

I only write this so I can say,

"hey, I tried and tried and tried. Thats all I could do. I did my part to make it better."

Ball is soundly in your court now EA.

I dont think you will ever reach the levels you should have (and your investors had a right to expect and demand) but you can still make game moderately profitable if you fix it up and set the correct priorities going forward.

Based on what I read in 1.2, I am not holding my breath, sorry.

Before I comment on the rest id like to point out that your comment about TLDR people and their lack of reading skills is incredibly spiteful and rude. I read your entire post and all you comment on is how stuff is broken and not 1 way to fix it. if you want BioWare to fix things you assume are broken, your going to have to suggest on ways to make them better. otherwise your just as bad as people who will leave TLDR comments. Also the game is barely out 4 months you expecting an Expansion Pack is jumping the gun by ALOT. BioWare isnt like other Game Developers they will make certain that when it is time to release content that it is as bug free as they can make it. They arent like Blizzard, NCsoft or SOE who rush patches or expansions out and dont care if the patches or expansions make WinME look stable.

  6. I hope you're trolling. If not I'll lay out a few things for you.

A: Yoda's race will never EVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER be playable. Ever. George Lucas himself won't let it happen.

B: Teras Kasi class...albeit any jokes about Mists of Pandaria, the practicality in battle aspect wouldn't work either. At least a strictly Teras Kasi class wouldn't work. What's that? A martial art expert charging at you from across the battlefield...*points gun and shoots him dead*.

However if you mix Teras Kasi with something else it could very work. Blend it into some sort of advanced class and then you might have something. But what would the default/mother class be? And what would be it's mirrored class?

apparently you have no clue to what a TKM is otherwise you would not have brought up WoW. Here is a direct Quote from Star Wars Wikia:

Teräs Käsi, or "steel hand" in Basic, was an unarmed combat discipline. It was created sometime prior to 3,678 BBY[1] on the planet Bunduki by the Followers of Palawa, refugees of the planet Palawa, which was devastated earlier in a war somehow involving the Jedi Council. The Followers of Palawa created Teräs Käsi solely to defeat Jedi, and presumably, ensure that another world would never be destroyed by the actions of the Council. The Followers of Palawa studied the Force and Midi-chlorians, even though they themselves were not necessarily force sensitive.

Teräs Käsi enabled a user to develop extreme speed, and an aptitude for anticipating strikes, most notably shown by clone assassins. In addition to this, Teräs Käsi taught non force sensitives how to close their minds to Jedi and Sith, thus protecting themselves from mental based attacks. Teräs Käsi also had a developed set of fighting skills, and Nine Edicts.[1] Some lightsaber duelists used Teräs Käsi techniques in combat, most notably Darth Maul. Jedi Master Anoon Bondara was also a master of Teräs Käsi techniques, which he coupled with his lightsaber ability to duel. Jedi Knight Joclad Danva was also a Teräs Käsi practitioner. Jedi Master Plo Koon was believed to be a Teräs Käsi practitioner as well, since he was a master at hand-to-hand combat. It is not known how Jedi could have been trained in Teräs Käsi, as the Followers of Palawa did not appear to be on friendly terms with the Jedi.

Phow Ji was a Teräs Käsi champion who once defeated Joclad Danva. Arden Lyn was also a follower of this combat style. Nova Stihl had been a practitioner of Teräs Käsi for twelve years.
