  1. It's possible EA can tweak server load balancing, but server load balance mechanics aren't there just to irritate or inconvenience you.

Sharding of zones is never perfect in any game, but understand what's happening: the server load is moving down, not up, and the load balancing is adjusting for it. Closing that zone is part of it. People constantly hopping into a closing shard doesn't work.

Yes but being on a server shard that has 150+ People on it makes it impossible for some to do their quests. And Im not talking about KS'ing. Im talking about going to an area and seeing no quest npcs to kill.

  2. For some strange reason I am having difficulties with opening collections on any of my characters. I can open it once but if I try to open it again it will not open. I have tried Ctrl+C and the Collections button in the inventory window and nothing works.
  3. I know this has been requested before but I think it needs to be brought up again. Is there anyway we can do the original class story missions from vanilla on Veteran and Master Difficulty? I would love to be able to redo them all at a higher difficulty so I can relive them like I how I first played SWTOR when the game launched.
  4. No.

Making those past subscriber rewards available again would only undermine the effectiveness of any future subscriber reward promotions.

Accept the fact that you did NOT meet the criteria to receive those past subscriber rewards and look at that as incentive to remain subscribed so as not to miss out on any future subscriber rewards.

That said, I think BW would do well to complement the time specific subscriber rewards with some different "veteran subscriber rewards".

Using both types of reward systems would reward players with some rewards for total amount of time subscribed, while also rewarding players with different rewards that are only rewarded for being subscribed at specific times.

THis guy said everything I would have said and then some.

  5. I have been playing this game since launch and this is the first time that I have seen this problem. The only time it happens is if you try to do something(anything for that matter) while the SWTOR Client is launching. If you do nothing it launches normally. If you try to do something like talk on TeamSpeak or use a web browser the client stops responding and does a crash to desktop. Please fix this.

    Comp Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 8 Core CPU 4.0 Ghz

    RAM: 32Gbs

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 2Gbs

Hard Drives: Primary 1Tbs SSD Secondary 4Tbs HDD

OS: Windows 10 Pro Version 1703

  6. I have a couple suggestions:

    1) For those who complete all 8 classes storylines(up to chapter 3) the class buffs should be increased by 1 hour. For those who complete all 16 advanced classes(up to chapter 3) the buffs should be permanent and still drop on death.

    2) Add recipes for CyberTech to make Customization Kits for Robot Companions.

  7. It removed more than 40% of classes. They paired it down to only 9 classes. I did misrepresent earlier when I said this was a slow nge, this is really more in line with the CU, which also garnered almost as much hate as the nge, and was the first wave of cancellations. I fear this game is heading down the path with the same pitfalls, all because the devs ego and arrogance won't let them admit that they are wrong, much like SOE did.

Yes but unlike SOE implementing the NGE BioWare is willing to work with us to fix the problems. SOE stuck with their blind ignorance that the NGE killed SWG. In 2014 I was invited to the SOE Main Office in San DIego(which is where I live) and I asked Smedly why they released the NGE and his response was that it was the best content added to the game. I was glad when Daybreak fired his ***** after they separated from Sony. The wave of cancelations for the CU pailed in comparison to the NGE. the CU saw at most a 10% drop in players. the NGE saw a 90% drop in players with in 1 week. But like I said BioWare is still talking with us on Twitch and making improvements 5.1.1 was just the beginning and we will see more in 5.1.2 and possibly in 5.2.

  8. As an SWG Vet I can say for certain that this is NOT a repeat of the NGE. The NGE did more than just change how equipment was attained it changed the entire game itself. SWG Pre-NGE was a Sandbox MMO where if you wanted to master something you had to use the skill repeatedly to gain experience in it. Before the NGE there was the CU or Combat Upgrade which is what we are seeing now. It redesigned how equipment worked with the various classes. The NGE took SWG from a sandbox MMO to a WOW Clone. It changed a skill based game into a level based game. It also eliminated 40% of the classes that players loved. If you think 4.0 and 5.0 for SWTOR is an attempt to recreate the NGE then you never played SWG before either the CU or the NGE.
  9. I know it is way too soon for BioWare to announce if they will do something for the 40th Anniversary of the first Star Wars Film so I decided to see what the players wanted. Please keep the ideas for in game limited to what was in the first movie. I will start with my own ideas

    R2-D2 Skin for T7-01

    C-3PO Skin for C2-N2/2V-R8

    Han Solo Outfit

Chewbaacca Companion Customization kit for Bowdaar

Darth Vader Outfit(I know this one is a stretch but I still want it)

Feel free to add your own.

  10. Um, pretty sure it didn't even surpass EQ1 in subs volume. Meanwhile, many other excellent MMOs were coming out around then; DAoC, CoH, etc. SWG was easily the worst of the bunch.

The skill system was OK. But busted. Especially for classes with broken skills (like Commando and the horribly busted flame damage - what, the mob died on a DoT tick? NO XP 4 U!)

So, I mastered Commando, BH, and TK Expert. I am pretty familiar with the class system.

The game was simply not good. It was ok, nothing more.

Now I am the one who doesn't know if you are the one who is trolling if you think City of Warehouses was better than Star Wars Galaxies.

  11. No, it was bad from launch. I played from launch. It was horrible; unless you really WANTED to be a moisture farmer.

The fact that it was the most popular MMO for its time until the release of the NGE says you are wrong on that regard. I can only surmise this but I think the reason you didnt like it at launch is because of the leveling process for the game. Instead of a linear system that 99.99% of all MMO's use it was a completely skill based game. In other words if you wanted to master something you had to grind for it. Then SOE released the NGE patch so it could be a SciFi Clone of WOW and drove away 90% of the player base in 1 week. Talk to any SWG Veteran and they will say the same thing SWG was a kick *** MMO that SOE ruined with 1 patch.
