  1. None of the competitors were willing to fork over 150 plus million in development time. EA/LucasArts would not have approved of this cash investment if they thought this game would lead to "Free 2 play" in a year.
  2. The Star Wars fanboys better hope TOR succeeds in the long run. If TOR crashes and burns like SWG, there is zero chance another developer forks over $$$ for another Star Wars MMO....
  3. May 15 = Diablo 3 Prepare for another wave of mass exodus.
  4. The only feature I see is the voice acting. It's really the only unique feature that stands apart from other mmo's. First week or two the voice acting was pretty sweet, however on my next round of "Alts" i find myself smashing the space bar to get past it.
  5. Was looking at my gametime card ... days left. Coincidentally it's gonna end mid May, just in time for Diablo 3. I won't even bother looking at 1.2 as I suspect D3 will keep me entertained for a long time.
  6. Good point. The other day another player and I sat by a heroic instance spamming chat for group. We both ended up logging out. Active player base is gonna get hit with another large chunk once May 15 rolls around.
  7. Wait til May 15th, servers are going to be a ghost town.
  8. Poor Tor gonna lose a good chunk of gamers on this date. Even that other game is concerned when they practically bribe their player base to stick around and commit to a year for a free copy..........
  9. This ^^ Obvious Bioware did not hold back when it came to paying the mass amount of voice actors required for this game. Good chunk of that 100+ million that was funded for TOR MMO went to the actors bank accounts. Hiring voice actors has got to be a long and grueling process. Trying to fit the right voice to the myriad of game characters. Fly them in from different parts of the world alongside free meals and hotel bills dependent on how long they are needed in the studio to go over thousands of lines over and over.
  10. I thought WOW was bad but TOR managed to up the ante when it comes to CC's in this game. It is what it is
  11. WOW's strength is the epic UI. No other MMO prior to WOW launch attempted to share this sort of customization ala WOW Addons prior to launch. Anyone who got along "fine" with the base UI don't realize what they missed out on. Auctioneer, Titan Bar, Gatherer, Atlas Loot, Mapster, Recount, way too many quality A+ mods to list all created and shared by fellow fans. Mods like this would be awesome in TOR but it is what it is.
  12. OP, Please pass me that bong when you done. Thanks, former WOW Fanboy
