  1. You guys seem to be forgetting the fact that they're lowering the drop rate on them, there will be less of them to go around. But, on the same note, that may be a moot point since they're removing unlocks on hardmode's so you can run them repeatedly. Personally, I'm just glad the damn things will stack, and as such, I may begin to hoard them in my cargo hold. I'm pretty sure some other players may do the same as well so we have them ready for later added crew skills requiring them.
  2. Ok....lemme take a quick crack at explaining it, bear in mind, im very tired, and ive been on the forums for about 8 hours today. Damage (Primary)/(Secondary) is what happens when you do anything with your weapons (Main Hand/2 Handed)/(Off-Hand) respectively Power increases this damage (if you hover over your damage you should see the power stat and how it calculates into your damage numbers showing) Surge increases the amount of damage crits deal.... ....crits normally deal 150% of normal damage...so say you have enough surge to bring your critical damage bonus from 50% (base) to 60% (base+surge), your crits would now deal 160% of your normal damage (which is your damage(primary)/(secondary))
  3. Your computer will be fine as long as you keep it cooled properly. Your graphics card will be ok as long as its clean and the air circulates fine. Your processor will be taxed to hell though at a single core, especially since your running a mid to low range graphics card. Invest in a box fan and point it right at the computer. Oh, and consider seriously building a new computer before you get to the endgame serious content, because you probably wont be running it nearly as well.
  4. Why must people continually bump posts that are months old...especially when the answer is already given in the initial posts...
  5. Try getting every schematic in artifice in a reasonable timeframe and then tell me if you have money left laying around....im level 50...and im broke....but i do have nearly 100 epic schematics that absolutely do nothing for me
  6. No, there isn't. It'll stay in the list until you decide to train it. And, since you sound like me, you'll eventually train it just to get that annoying green plus sign to go away
  7. I do believe you can enter the code in the code redemption site while logged into your account and have it applied to your current account. However, I'm not 100% sure on this. I would recommend posting in this forum: http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=11 one of the CS reps should be able to give you a definitive answer rather quickly on that question.
  8. Accepted it, see...now im learning something new...I didnt even know there was a friends list thing on here, lol
  9. I would highly NOT recommend uninstalling anything, let the patcher do its job for a while. The entire client is 27 GB....which means that if you wanted to download the whole thing...at 63kb/s you would be waiting about 3-4 days....so just relax, watch a few movies and hope your download speed kicks up a few dozen notches
  10. 1.4 GB is pretty much the updates that have since come from the retail disc production in the collectors edition box. I do believe there are a few more files to download after the main asset 1 update. I would suggest leaving the computer to download and come back in a little while. Assuming 2GB of updates needing to be downloaded and 63 kb/s download speed, the math says you'll be waiting about 9 hours. I'd work on somehow getting your download speed to go a bit faster, thats pretty low by most broadband standards these days :/
  11. Ok, well....first of all 43, isn't too old for gaming! Secondly, I believe the one quest in ilum you're talking about is a heroic quest, if it's the one i'm thinking about, group up with someone and you'll be fine for that. The other quest your talking about with the bugged objectives is bugged, it's a known issue and they're working on it, it does fix itself from time to time so keep trying it when you get free time. Ilum quests are generally hard, they're meant to be. There's also quests on Belsavis for daily commendations, try there for some easy stuff, the quests there are leaps and bounds easier than Ilum. Next up, space combat is pretty challenging, I know people in my guild who can't get it done, try laying off the blasters...holding down the button prevents your shields from recharging, dont know if you know about that or not. As far as credits go...easiest way I've found to make credits is playing the auction house and using my trade skills, if you dont have a maxed one...get one and start working on it, Artifice and Biotech are great skills for making money, the top end stuff med stuff and stims and the magenta crystals especially make loads of credits. Also, one last thing...jump into hardmodes....they are easy enough to do and thats the easiest way i've found to gear up, plain and simple with a big ole period at the end.
  12. Pretty much you have to decide what you want to do and then when you see options to go for light/dark side, you will see white in the circle next to the options or red, depending on which way will give you certain points. If you don't see that at all and pick an option that gives you points without knowing it, theres options in the preferences i believe that you can select that will show you, but i believe the default is set to show you.
  13. Yeah, it should be enabled by default...who wouldn't want to to be? Without upgrading your companions gear your probably gonna strain yourself through the level 50 grind, almost ensuring that everyone upgrades their gear at some point or another.. It should either be enabled by default, or when the hints pop up getting your first companion, it should say there's an option for it.
  14. Oh wow...i'm an idiot, can't believe I never saw that before...thanks...completely missed the scrollbar in that option set..
  15. I don't know if this is in the game (haven't found a way to do it yet) or if it's been suggested already (yes, I searched, couldn't find anything) but please...for the love of god....can you make it so when hovering over weapons...can we please see what out companions have equipped.... It's so annoying to have to remember what stats are on a piece, open the companion window, look at the equipment, figure out whats what and then equip it....especially since its already done with my character...its not that hard, but it would be so much more convenient if i can just see something like that just as I do with my character...
