  1. I have multiple toons which are raid ready and are needing a new home due to a moral objection in gearing tactics(as of the recent Bioware QC/QA oversight with a certain operational boss). With that said I do not want to join a raiding guild that felt the need to gear up via this method as it cheapens the progression experience in my view. I am US Central time but am available for raiding from 4 pm - 10 pm PST Monday-Thursday and pretty much anytime Friday-Sunday. I main a sniper on the imp side and a gunslinger pub side but am efficient with all of the classes. Either reply here or message me in game via /who Texas if you'd like to try me out. Thanks!
  2. I also would love to know stats and priority. Also, how important is Accuracy to PvE DPS Gunslinger? is 95% ok or do we need 100 or more?

What is the usual 3.0 stat priority?

Go back and reread the guide....specifically the gearing and stats section and the rotation. And just fyi but you want your accuracy to be as close to 100% as possible for a PvE dps toon or else you'll see your abilities missing left and right.

  3. This is good for multiple reasons:

    1. No need to waste multiple toons having Biochem for raiding purposes (some people have 22 toons and 17 of those toons were biochem for the re-usables)

    2. Now 16 of those 17 Biochem toons can now retrain a gathering skill (see Archeology, Scavaging, Underworld Trading, Treasure Hunting).

    3. Once that gathering skill is trained my companions can now go gather other mats instead of being "dead end" crafters.

    4. More people doing this equals more mats.

    5. More people farming mats equal more mats on the GTN.

    6. More mats on the GTN equals lower mats prices.

    7. Do I need to continue with this Supply and Demand example?

  4. How are you guys getting Accuracy? All of the gear I can buy (186 rating for basic comms) has little to no accuracy...can people craft 186 stuff with accuracy the vendors don't offer? are you using lower rating stuff just for accuracy? thnx

Yes...people can craft the Advanced Initiative Enhancement (186 rating gear which as 102 accuracy) and are selling them on the GTN. I personally have 4 of those, 2 power/accuracy implants (186 rating gear crafted), 1 power/accuracy earpiece (186 rating gear crafted), and 1 accuracy augment (186 rating gear crafted) and am at just a hair over 100% accuracy.

  5. Dear Developers!

I want to tell you a little story from today. I happily ended Shadow of Revan storyline and I picked the weeklies. You know there is a weekly where you have to defeat the Revanite Walker on Yavin-4. Nice thing! I joined a group of 24 people to defeat the enemy, it was quite hard for the first time. But there is something what blowed my mind: (imagine capslock) I didn'nt get my mission reward, because i wasn't there when the mates defeated the Walker. I was coming back from the medcenter... So again: I was fighting this mob for 20 minutes in an ops group, and i didn't get anything juts because i was too far away. Fix this pls.

What's there to fix? Nightmare Pilgrim and Dreadtooth are both non-instanced bosses where you have to be in proximity in order to get the kill to count and those 2 have been around FOREVER. L2SWtoR and have a nice day! :rak_03:

  6. Started on my shadow, the one i was most eager to play.. Turns out its impossible to play in the instances, and for some reason i'm forced to actually do the instances before i can do anything on Rishi..

Logged on my sage, thinking.. Well, she's done all the instances before, several times.. even the last part, so at least here i can go to Rishi.. Nope, i have to do Legacy of Rakata.. Again.. and even better.. I don't have a solo option.. So, in order for me to enjoy the new expansion, i now have to find a group, and do this instance.. AGAIN...

I then relog to my other char, which i also know have been through all the forged alliance quests.. Every one of them are stuck on the third part, so i have to start there.. and, for everyone i need a group, because for some reason i cant do the instance solo, like i was promised.. At least i know, that even if i could do it solo, the lag would make it impossible anyway..

So, here i am.. Have been looking forward to the expansion for a long time, and now, its here, and if i actually spoke my mind right now, i'd probably get banned.. Thank you at least, for accepting my money, without any problems at all..

You're either extremely bugged or a derp. Try this via Dulfy.....

  7. That's false Odd

I've raided with progression and casual style ops groups and if you think you are going to LEARN your class in ops, you're going to find yourself removed from group ALLOT

ANYONE entering Ops (lets say healer) needs to know what their heals are, what their cleanse ability is, what their detaunt ability is, and basic rotation so you can heal through a extended fight with out instantly running into power/energy issues. These are very basic items and ops groups will drop you in a heart beat if you don't at least understand this stuff.

That's all basic level stuff that you learn through leveling and play

Some of the 12x XP players who leveled their healers up have no concept of these simplistic ideas because it simply was not required of them.

Same goes for a Tank class, you enter even a basic casual ops and you better know how to control argo at a minimum (which is learned through play (before ops) and getting into situations where you have to struggle and learn).

You do not learn your class abilities in ops

You refine your class abilities in ops

But to learn them you are expected to have done some group content prior to entering ops and just leveling through class storyline at 12x XP does not require that.

Case in point: Did a hm Czerka Meltdown couple weeks ago (before I stopped running FPs) and had a healer commando who got mad at group because he couldn't heal the Desert Wraid with hammer shot only.

All 3 group members tried to explain his class to him and how to heal with it (I personally have a 55 commando and 55 bounty hunter that both leveled up (and did ops) as healers before switching to DPS for a change) but he did not understand because he leveled up in 12x XP and big healing wasnt required for his storyline experience.

    We wiped 3 times

    He rage quit

We got a new healer who DIDNT level up through 12X XP and 1 shotted rest of HM with no issues.

That commando healer would be removed from any ops group going because he didnt understand his class or how to play his class and OPS is NOT a place to learn the basics. Normally that commando would learn the basics by repition running side quests, flash points, even warzones. But with 12x XP side quests, flashpoints, warzones experience are removed completely and thus he never learned and never understood his new level 55 character.

Are you on Harbinger?....and is one of your toons.....Venomouz? Either it's you or he reads and regurgitates your yucky thoughts.

  8. I understand that Planetary Comms are being removed in 3.0, which tbh concerns me on behalf of new players.

During the current 12*XP period I have levelled a few new alts saving my Planetary Comms along the way to gear an alt for free with Makeb Comms. As an established player I could gear them with GTN bought comms etc but my concern isn't for existing players.

I recall levelling the first time at launch when I was a new player and credits were tight, some of the skills I needed to learn required extra effort to earn the credits - and that was before I considered gearing myself let alone my companion(s)! Gaining Planetary Comms as I levelled was a good way to ensure that at least one of my companion was decently geared.

Just a quick shout out to the Devs on behalf of future players!

Everything is just rolling up into basic comms. So only the name will be going away and not the actual comms or what you can buy with them.
