  1. Im not saying its different in that aspect, I personally never did when I ran out of content I just did not play anymore and went outside or played something else. secondly If I was sick of doing these things for a while I would gather some mates and go raid a city of the opposite faction and generally just be a nuisance around lowbie areas, after all that is what a PvP server is for and if you don't like that and QQ then go transfer to a PVE server. So I think a couple things I said do to with WoW and this are quite valid in that respect.
  2. I think WoW endgame is better in terms of what I have read so far but I will just see how it goes when I get there, I personally hate the QUEST part of MMO's and I can't wait until its all over and, Max level and no more questing. WoW had good incentives to go and world raid the other faction this I can only tell so far has no such thing as invading the other Factions home turf, Sitting around talking in a game you actually PAY to play is pointless. Repeating Content and quests is also pointless I won't be paying a monthly sub to repeat a bunch of stuff I have already repeated 100 times to get the best gear. The only way to escape it is more content you simply cannot argue it. I also don't care if you know that this game is not a WoW clone its an MMO and in a PVP server I expect to be able to harass who ever I WANT WHEREVER I want and with as many people that want come. I don't expect to see limited world availability depend on faction I am I wish to at max levels to be able to travel to any place I see fit. So far I just don't see this happening and that is what this game is missing for the those who complain about end game content with nothing to do but wait for an expansion that is the only reason they would stick around.
  3. I already suggest a easy and temp fix to the issue with out limiting any faction or class choices. I will say it again, Temporary Team Swap is the only solution for now that won't piss everyone off, Removing incentives pisses everyone off and just ruins the ENTIRE fun from doing it. The best and fastest way to combat this problem until a better solution be found is to just auto balance the sides. Everyone gets to keep staying in the faction they choose and people are happy, obviously the gains would carry over to your appropriate faction alignment.
  4. So what your saying is that instead of everyone having the SAME optional advantage you prefer to be ignorant and think the person your fighting against is just REALLY fast with the key presses and is not using a macro some other way ? I can assure you that this way of thinking is delusional, a few people who have posted here already admit that they do, to not give everyone this option is ignorant. Besides its hardly an advantage and its not considered a cheat or a hack, as your not bypassing any of the games limitations in terms of how long you need to wait to use an ability. Honestly we don't even need FULL BLOWN macro support we just need keys to be bind- able to multiple action bar slots from the key-binds menu. To be quite frank about this I would simply refuse to not macro until they give us a third middle bar I rarely ever want to use side bars as they are clutter-sum but I have no choice but to macro while the bar positions are hard coded and set the way they are.
  5. I'm not denying a thing of that, I did just that, But I have never argued the fact that it does need to to be fixed, actually read my posts properly please. You would see that I am in fact suggesting a decent temp solution that would make the whole stacking of sides moot until a better solution eg,cross server que, came around. <add> I wasn't exactly going to join republic if I knew it was a slow progressing faction and aside from that my RL mates were ALL imperial, as a bonus we get to win more often and get faster ques so technically I was being smart with my money. That said it is a issue I would rather see fixed in future as it kind of ruins it for the other side. That was the whole reason I suggested something in the first place as it is pretty obvious to me why its so over imbalanced, every one who did know would have had similar thinking patterns to me when choosing the side so its only going to get worse unless something is done sooner.
  6. This is true, The razor keyboard that is coming out or is out does such dynamic on the fly macro's in fact it to say they don't like macro's is to say they don't like to key re-bind's this would also mean they don't like the products that they support like the razor gaming laptop that has touch screen skill use ability all this really is is a touch screen LCD similar to an Ipodtouch that has key-bound the touch areas in question to keys on a keyboard and no doupt you have the ability add macro's there as well. After all a macro is just a timed automation of key presses but it is still limited to the game mechanics. There is no real solid way to detect people using a macro if they are smart about the timers they have setup, so not having a inbuilt solution they support simply means like I said above in my previous post is that they have no official supported way to control it. <add> Yep I already setup macro's for rotations to combine a couple skills I would fire one after the other every time the CD was up. Being a Deception INQ I simply need to macro the Recklessness to right after I use my Discharge ability as I need to use Discharge before recklessness to get the most benefit from it and why would I waste two key binds if they don't support chain spell casts via macro in game I will simply use a grey area to my advantage and its perfectly legal by the TOS.
  7. Does not really matter at all if they do or don't. Just like any other MMO with no macro support people with third party software like Logitech and mice and keyboards with many spare keys and even ones like the G15 that have built in on the fly macro ability from key press's will just macro anyway using there software and keyboards and mice. The fact that its not really illegal by the game TOS to do so as your still pressing a key to use it and it is still limited by the cool-down timers and what not. The fact that they don't embrace this and add an inbuilt macro ability only means they have no control over how we macro and have no TOS to tell us . <add> I see many others have already mentioned such things kudos to them , I will be living happily with my macro heal thanks.
  8. When Cata came out you could do anything even change faction for a price of course
  9. I'm saying that apart from your long list of so called fixes that benefit mainly only one side it would be a VERY easy to implement temporary solution. Considering I joined Imperial for the sole fact that my mates all told me they completely outnumbered republic so knowing this the choice was pretty obvious from a progression standpoint, and I would think it was the same reason why its out numbered still. Adding this temporary fix would mean that it really wouldn't matter as the gains of being on the overpowered side would be N/A in your choice of faction.
  10. I just finished reading this thread and amongst all the "what I consider" garbage I have only really seen one - twp people actually suggest anything, but of them going over the top with ways to add an incentive for the other side. Have any of you sat back a little and just thought, all this really needs is match balancing so that when we que to for PvP and the like both factions get added to the same que, then upon entering the match if its outnumbered it evens the odds by moving members around until they are even. This would work fine for PvP but it would probably need a little fine thinking for PvE. The real fix is cross world que systems but it took even WoW a long time to get that one in and I suspect it would take them at least a month or two to make any progress in this game with it as well. "yep I know some of you mentioned crossworld ques" I also firmly believe that removing incentives to actually play certain features of the game is IMO really bad form, removing an incentive does not fix the problem it only makes people want to play less. Again while I was a WoW gamer I have seen this method done and it has nearly always resulted in outrage and the particular mode of play simply got no love anymore. Then only after this they learned that it was not the way to fix things and they did the Cross realm stuff. P.S. I am not arguing how this game is like or not like WoW I am simply saying that even thru the mmo history they all have lessons to teach the others
