  1. umm yeah. resolve doesn't function at all as far as i can tell. never has. If it's doing something it's useless. lol This game is one foot in the same GRAVE as Warhammer so gleefully leaped into. The PvP is garbage because it amounts to nothing more than stun first, stun most, stun, root, choak or use anything that freezes another customers character to get your free wins! It's not the classes, it's the fundamental design philosophy. The whole game is based on turning off the challenge. It's too late as well. once you base your design on something so fundamental you can't remove it. It's there unless you completely redesign everything. oops.. shoulda studied EA's last butcher job rather than copying it!
  2. Besides looks there is no value. There is a "custom lightsaber" schematic that crits for Augs and is only level 20, meaning it requires even cheaper mats.
  3. THIS is exactly why expertise is NOT needed. It is so short sighted to actively seek to exclude people from what you like because you don't like to do what they do.... It's nothing but elitism and it not only ruins PvP for casuals it also ruins PvP for new players, new toons and ultimately for the PvP'ers themselves, who have so eagerly cheered for segregation and will ultimately find themselves in longer queues, with fewer rivals. It's "I don't like raiding, so stay out of MY pvp!". It's selfish and destructive and nothing more. BW is botching PvP in a really big way in swtor already. The last thing they should be doing is promoting an ever widening gap between have's and have nots. Best PvP ever was DAOC pre-TOA and it had none of the complex gearing mechanics and (hint) no knock backs/pulls and did have immunity timers. TOA introduced gear elitism and began the downfall of the game. Warhammer introduced knockbacks/pulls and out of control CC mechanics and PvP specialty gearing and died swiftly.. Take a hint already. PvP just keeps getting worse, .

Nothing is like daoc. =( I QQ too, everytime I see a game with OPvP that isn't RvR style. Still, with the right class/spec for your style and some buddies, the WZ's can be entertaining. I'll give them credit for being fairly good at designing those.
  5. Honestly, I am loving my Shield Specialist Vanguard in pvp. I'm only 25, so I don't even have all the bells and whistles yet. Sure, the same annoying stunwars stuff still gives me a headache sometimes, but a little survivability makes things a lot more enjoyable. Good tools, flexible tactics and some staying power is a good recipe. I outperform my Sentinel purely by hanging around long enough to dish out some meaningful pain on a more consistant basis.
  6. Any artifice trainer. They sell recipes. You need at least green difficulty to level but yellow or orange are better.
  7. Yeah, pretty pointless. You can out level the item in a day. The orange items are slightly cooler but only slightly and the require legacy level 20. My 48 sent only has me to level 3...
  8. Good mechanics have been replaced by macro kiddies with unlimited CC... Why would you want Positionals, combo chains and debuffs when you can just hit one button and insta-win? Stunwars! The sad thing to me is that Mythic Entertainment (RIP my friends) was rolled into BW after being purchased by EA. Mythic created the single best fantasy pvp system ever in it's RvR system from DAOC. Then EA got involved with development of Warhammer and mutilated the system in favor of kiddy friendly stunfest/knockback/vortex (pull) action. It was so stupified and obnoxious it killed an otherwise good game. SWTOR seems to have inherited the disease... All I want is Mythic back, with Mark Jacobs at the helm. BLEH!
  9. I've had three belts. As far as I can tell, only blue prototype boxes can contain them. 2 I bought with commendations (the lockbox) and one I selected from a class mission reward (the blue box). I know Sage and smuggler belts exist. I am told no knight belts until 1.2.

  11. If Stunwars has been reduced and the gameplay is more enjoyable for non-macro kiddies I might get a reprive. I've been heading for unsub because pvp sucks. If you are correct about more free flowing combat then this is the best post yet.
  12. Maybe the dev considers a change to the skill tree to fundamental? The only thing I have seen is that focus and combat are swapping a skill in the spec trees.
  13. I'm not sure what the buff is. The change to the spec trees is a bit of a buff a guess, it actually breaks my planned spec though. I definately don't feel that my Sent needs any buffs. I do fine until the stun, root, KB, kill train comes along. PvP is gonna suck until they nerf CC into near useless status and they seem to be taking the tried and failed path of adding more garbage to the heap as opposed to cleaning up.
  14. I managed to get 10+ levels ahead of myself by the time I hit 30. This is by far the easiest crafting system I've ever seen. At 37 I capped out. Now I stare at saber schematics I can't use. Hehe
  15. Yep, it sucks if it's your first time in the FP. The only fix is waiting for a group that doesn't mind being patient. It's a forgotten skill these days so it might take awhile. Hehe
