  1. Nice post, definitely cleared up most of my questions.

The only thing left for me to ask is this:

If I unlock all 5 companions on my Sentinel. Will my sage get the +surge/crit/healing bonuses from my Sentinel's unlocked companions? Or would I have to unlock those types of bonuses on the sage in order to get the bonuses on him?

I know its confusing to try and explain for some reason the way the system works, haha.

Your bonuses are unlocked for every character in your legacy. When you unlock your first healing companion bonus, every one of your characters gets that bonus (any subsequent healing companion you max out gives extra presence).

I think the tooltips in game in the legacy window do a pretty good job of explaining how it works.

  2. Is it worth the 1mil credits? I would like to see some opinions on people whom bought it 1st before i waste 1 mil on it.

    thanks

I found it worth it. Nice for my Cybertech and Synthweaver to have the +5 crit options. Wish there was a crit Armormech instead of efficiency though.

But I like it more for the availability of the vendor right there next to my ship's bank as I'm quite the hoarder sometimes. If you don't need the vendor part, then as said above, either find a friend that has it, or pitch in with a friend and help split the cost and then you can both buy the droid parts.

  3. I did them yesterday and today, before I tried to do the new one.

if you started yesterday, then you're one day behind. Today would have been the first day for you to be able to do the Passenger List, tomorrow you should be able to do Hybrid Strain

  4. This is what I don't understand. Why do we have to kill the Bantha boss again? Why is that boss the only one that triggers the final codex entry? What if, after this patch, I killed the Bantha and then the other two bosses? Would I then have to go back and rekill the bantha boss because he's the one that triggers the final codex entry? Shouldn't killing any boss after the patch trigger the codex entry?

I don't think that he alone triggers the final codex entry. I think the 9th codex has a tracker built in and when you get all the previous 8, it pops up. I'm guessing that the 9th was tracking the others properly, just not the Bantha one.

  5. As I said in a different thread, it seems to me the bug is that the 9th Codex is supposed to track the completion of the previous 8, but appears to have an issue with tracking the one for the Bantha. It does seem silly that they would require us to redo the Bantha fight. If we have all 8 entries, we clearly did all the required steps. I don't see why they can't have a onetime check run for the 9th Codex when you log in after the patch to have it update.
  6. They can ASSUME. Unless they have constant trackers, and they can spend the manpower to datamine for every player that has all the codexes, they can't really know. And I know some people will say it doesnt matter, just award it, if they did that, there would be a group that would start yelling that they should be allowed to earn it, or be mad that others were just given the title. Ive seen this in LOTRO and COH, and it caused a serious uproar.

It's not an assumption. You can't get the codex entries without doing the tasks, and the entry for the Bantha is separate entry than the Title one. The bug appears to be that the 9th codex entry tracks the completion of the previous 8, and when you get all 8 it should trigger the 9th, but the 9th wasn't properly tracking the codex entry for the Bantha kill. If the player has the 8 event codex entries, then they did the required steps. It's not a big datamine or tracker issue. Obviously the game knows if you have a certain codex entry (since you don't get the same one more than once). All they'd have to do is a onetime check when you log in. If the character has all the codex entries, they obviously did the work and should be given the 9th on log in. There's no giving something to someone who didn't earn it.

  7. I like the new look, only issue I have with it is that when the page loads, my cursor is automatically placed in the search box, so I can't scroll the page with arrow keys without first clicking outside of the box.
  8. Might be frustrating, but its par for the course with MMOS. If there is a badge/title/deed where ya need to kill some random mob, and it is bugged, once the game fixes it, you have to kill again. They have no idea if you actually killed it or not, so they can't really go back and do it retroactivly, unless they just give to everyone, and that would cause just as much ************ from the people who really earned it. They are kinda damned if they do,damned if they don't.

Except here they can know, as the bantha kill is it's own Codex Entry. If a player has all 8 prior codex entries, they clearly killed all 3 world bosses and did the appropriate quests, and thus should be able to be awarded the 9th entry/title.

  9. ok on to crew skills:

Could you introduce tutorials on doing crew skills as I keep having to reset mine as my gathering skills shoot way up but my crafting skill lags out before lvl 50, I'm learning by trial by error but this is costing me both game resources and huge amounts of time.

I'm confused on this part. Why do you feel the need to reset your crew skills just because your gathering goes faster than your crafting? You can always go back to the old planets and gather the older materials if needed.

  10. Nope there are three world bosses and each have their own separate codex entries!

We've got Zama and Trapjaw (anyone know respawn timers yet on PvP area boss?) But this codex entry number 5 must be around the area in that picture (1189, -1271). There are also lots of dead infected creatures around the area. Hmmm!!

ahh yeah, I saw that location when I was looking for the vendor, but no codex for me there either

  11. Yeah, Z-Man is awesome.

But it's a weird name anyway.

They should name servers like Milleniun Falcon, Han Shot First, Chewie Never Died, I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing and so on.

I'd totally play in Han Shot First.

Except at this time there is no Millennium Falcon, Chewie, Han, or Greedo for Han to shoot first

  12. Was there a difference in Legacy level or some other stat or something?

We leveled our previous characters (Inquisitors) together and our Agents. Our legacy levels are the same, so not sure where the difference is.

    only speeder piloting went down.

You're missing the point of the post. I know that speeder piloting went down for everyone. The point is that my wife's class skills are cheaper for her than the same skill is for me. Trying to figure out what could be causing that.

  13. My wife and I just hit 48 on our Imperial Agents together and went to train our Orbital Strikes. Her's cost 9,300ish and mine was the normal 10,570. We checked the rest of our future skills and they all had the same difference (except the speeder 3 license which were both 220,000.

Something new with 1.2 that would cause a discount in skill training? She hasn't purchased any legacy perks or anything.

  14. Unless an item clearly states 'Research Available', there is no chance for learning anything from it through reverse engineering.

So going by this, then this statement in the blog post didn't mean ALL modifiable weapons and armor could be RE'd?

Modifiable weapons and armor can now be reverse engineered and researched into empty, custom (orange) shells with the same name and appearance, adding a wide variety of new outfits to the game.

A bit sad if that's the case. I was hoping to be able to get the schematic for my Traditional Lashaa Silk Headgear from the Nar Shaddaa Spaceport Heroic so I could get the Augment slot on my Inquisitor. Ran the quest today to get another Headgear to RE and no luck with it.

  15. Is this some sort of joke?

Not only does Force bending only proc once now, effects were changed drastically for the worse.

Force surge pretty much removed from the game - consumption now costs health all the time folks.

All at the same time they buff Sentinal's/Marauder's and Jugg's. Just shows how clueless the devs.

Was actually excited for 1.2, but if these changes go through I say screw it, not point in playing a even more broken game.

Funny how every class claims they were nerfed and all others buffed. As a Sorc healer, these changes aren't that bad. So consumption costs health now... hmm, put a HoT on myself, stand in my healing circle, so many ways to make this not an issue.
