No rollback! Basically, we are just going to expire any existing auction, anything that happened prior to that point should be untouched.

Expire auctions would have been OK. But you guys cancelled the auctions and now all players not involved in the exploit had to pay the cancelation fee.
What was so difficult to expire the auctions compared to canel them?
What about some compensation for the lost cancelation fees?

Excelent post. Perfect match with my opinion.
I really like the suggestion of rewards for diffrent planet sizes.
Maybe the planet size should also change from time to time to give smaller guilds a chance to conquer all planets.
I hope BW will take the right decisions.
But I am not sure and cancelled my sub therefore. Let's see what happens with 5.9.

starting with /%=§ new bug. Does anybody know if this is a new all time record?
The planetary conquest should end 18:00 UTC but it ended 12:00 UTC. It was widely announced to the community, but maby not to the admins.
I suggest BW to stop the planetary conquest. It is a constant source of annoying bugs.

First, make sure you have checked my most recent status update here.
Second, I apologize if the codes are rubbing people the wrong way. They are not meant to be any kind of compensation for downtime or anything like that. Merely, we are all sitting here on the forums waiting for the issue to get resolved. In the past we have done something similar as a way for people get some bonus stuff for free while they wait. Everyone is not going to get them, but it could be a nice bonus if you do.
The first batch of 15 codes was not the "rain,' that was just the start. Normally I continually do posts like that the entire time we are down but I don't want to be pouring salt in the wound either. Tell me your feeling on this, do you want me to continue putting out codes while we are down? Or is it just making it worse?

this is making me even more angry.
Do you really expect us to look into this thread targetting for codes that 99.999999999 % will not be able to use.
Put in the codes as you want, but I will not follow you in this stupid procedure.
I'll find something more usefull to do.

Personally, I always thought that what should happen is that while the event has ended, players could continue to strive towards the achievements, though with very limited rewards (e.g., no packs, though *maybe* the companion).
To me, it just doesn't make sense to *ever* bring this event back in a way where you would be required to make new chars to do it again. And I say this as someone who did not object to the event in the first place. But bringing this back again in a year would even to me be too much. Just let everyone, and all new players, work towards getting the them as part of the core game.
That's my view too. Nobody answered the question whether AGAIN new chars will be required.
And it's funny that the current achievment texts sometimes say
- .. with a char created during the DvL event
and sometimes
- ... during the DvL event.
I bet they will fail in the second stage too.

Maybe we should also remove content, chars and especially customers.

I think the real question is: How can we make more money with the cartel market. All others shall just hide that main intention.
