  1. It didn't work for me - I also noticed that every character in the same Legacy as my main character (who was the only one to do both KotFE and KotET) were marked in the 'chapters' section as having completed all chapters of both expansions. If I try launching chapter one of KotFE with a character that hasn't done it before it gets treated like a chapter replay - so I have no access to the new companions, no access to Wild Space to get to Zakuul by my ship - and support has deleted two of my tickets requesting help.
  2. Given the amount of companions we can now have under KotFE, and that most if not all have bio's mentioning something which has happened to them in their past, I think it could be an opportunity to introduce a new mission system along the lines of the Heroic missions BUT the player would play (solo) AS the companion and re-enact an important event from their bio. (In RP terms it could be a terminal which offers a series of holographic training scenarios for the player to try out). For example Veeroa Denz the Force sensitive Nautolon - her mission would be to betray her overseer and escape from Korriban during the Zakuul invasion. The missions could be repeatable weekly, and maybe offer influence with that companion as part of the reward - and possibly for the main characters there could be more than one mission. It seems like a good way to get to know more about some of the main characters, for example the relationship between Theron Shan and his mother, not to mention Darth Marr and the Emperor, or Lana and her former master (one mission could shed some light on her quest to rescue the 'Outlander' during his five years spent as a wall-hanging). To sum up: new mission system based on the bios of the player's companions - player plays (solo) AS that companion and re-enacts an important event from their past.
  3. I liked my Gunslinger's story so much Im doing it again with a Scoundrel.
  4. I levelled mostly from PvP plus the main story quests as a hybrid build, mainly Dirty Fighter and the middle one (with three points in sharpshooter) and I basically played it as a dot/aoe mobile character and blasted the living daylights out of people with my three second grenade and aoe dot. Im thinking about maybe trying a different build when 1.2 hits, I might go more heavily into dirty fighter.
  5. It's worth noting it's capped at your character's level until 50 (to stop early use of high level gear)
  6. Editted after re-reading you have a champion set of gear - was advising a fresh 50.
  7. I took my Gunslinger to 50 mainly by PvPing plus the main story questing - I play a grenade/bomb spec and tend to get focused on quite often. Melee operatives are my worst nightmare, Im practically dead after their stun wears off and before I can react to them. PvE can be a challenge but using Risha (and keeping her barrel and armour as high as possible) makes it doable. Guss (healer) changed everything though, but he joins quite late (should have been a lot earlier in the story for gunslingers at least).
  8. I'd like to see Teras Kasi added as a new class. Loved it from the early SWG days.
  9. Is it just me that can't stop calling Rocket Punch 'Donkey Punch'?
  10. My idea is to use three small square symbols (representing the crew skills) immediately to the right of the class icon for each character at the character selection screen - mousing over one of the symbols results in a tool tip saying which crew skill it is. It shouldn't take up too much space since space is limited. I'm somewhat scatter brained and have a lot of alts over three servers (Lord help me if you increase the number of character slots per server) so I'm for ever forgetting which character uses which crafting skill. This feature would help me immensely.
  11. If they ever decide to do it, they will probably do what SoE did, and increase the slots via an expansion or 'premium' service (to get more people to buy it) - which is fair enough.
  12. Another solution they might explore, is cross-server grouping for Pve/PvP but again it's going to be after 1.2
  13. My own personal opinion is that they will open up transfers at some point after 1.2 is out - they mentioned transfers wont happen IN 1.2 due to Legacy issues which I presume they havent got time to fix immediately (with other stuff having higher priorities)
  14. It's not neccessarily evil though - it's the same school of thought as the nature documentary makers who 'let nature take it's course' so they can film it.
  15. Was going to post about this as well - if they add some form of mouse click detection to prevent afk flagging it would solve the problem - Ive been booted off the server while I was standing still crafting with several windows open earlier (blocking the chat window)
  16. I've noticed a kind of 'memory leak' problem with extended zoning (IE a long session of multiple warzones or frequent planet hopping) leading to performance hits in warzones - ram usage swells close to max (8 gigs) and background stuff accounts for 22 percent of that. After playing, it becomes hard to shut the game down and I end up having to kill the process(es) from the task manager. (Shuts down fine if the game hasnt been running for long though)
  17. I'd like to see some kind of guild versus guild pvp scenarios with capital ships - kind of like the voidstar where you invade the other ship and they get a chance for revenge (IE two rounds, an attack and a defence each). Maybe when they rework space combat they can add some actual space pvp linked to capital ships too (with guild alliances for fleet actions etc)
  18. I like the idea too, but seems more linked to social level than Legacy.
  19. Definately the quest tracker that's screwed - maybe there's a similar quest for the Imperial equivalent of the gunslinger and the tracker is pointing to their path through the area. I used a ledge up and around the corner to get past it, took me a bit close to their champion droids but I made it in one piece. You can go next to some of the NPCs because they're not targetable (fluff scenery npcs) just keep using nearest/next enemy to check for roaming targetable stuff.
  20. I've had a blast (literally) getting my Gunslinger to 50, a combination of grenades and bombs is amost too much fun to have. Getting Gus Tuno changed how I played in PvE, I became an unstoppable killing machine.
  21. I've played a few other classes to the thirties trying to find the right fit, but Gunslinger is the one which feels right and is the first one where Im closing in on 50. I'm on a PvP server so can't really comment on ops/HMs but I use a mobility hybrid based around AoE damage for warzones - it's an absolute blast (if you like playing glass cannons, which I do).
  22. It's designed so that you can get the resources you need while questing - so you should be able to get yourself to a point where your character is a level or two lower than the level requirement on the stuff you're making (but yes, you will have to go through the lower stuff to catch up). If you haven't done so already, check your codex (press L ingame and click the codex tab) to make sure you have the other two crew skills that are linked with your chosen crafting skill (they provide materials for you to craft with).
  23. Since they are running a business they need to be aware that most of their competitors offer a much better service for European gamers (IE different patching hours for European servers, even if the servers themselves are based in the US)
  24. Not much to add to what others have said really, one thing though - don't give him your old orange stuff (unless it's the odd piece or two), try to make sure he's mainly in heavy because it makes better use of armour mods than light.
