  1. Maybe this is just me, but while I do enjoy the idea of a lightsaber with a guard on the hilt, the placement of the guard on these sabers seems off when wielded. The guard is rotated in on a knight's hand covering the inner part of the hand towards the wrist. I feel like it should be placed over the knuckle's/back of the hand (like it appears when wielded in an off-hand). Also, the way these sabers sit on the player's hip, the guard sticks either into the players body, or sticks way out to one side on the offhand hip placement. I feel like these should sit flat against the hips, with the guard facing either forward or backward instead of the side.
  2. Now, maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but as nostalgic as i get remembering the wonderful system that was champion/centurion/battlemaster commendation system, the icons left over from these comms really clutters up my commendation windows. The toons I've made since these comms were removed have much cleaner commendation windows, and I'd really like it if we could get rid of these icons on my older toons as well. Essentially, I feel like for commendations that are no longer available, when they reach 0, they should go away, or at least all be shifted into their own category on the bottom of the window so they don't get in my way when I'm looking for the relevant commendations in my inventory.
  3. It was pretty clearly laid out in the dev blog about the rep system that whatever item pushed you over the limit would still apply its full effect. I didn't max it my first week as well as I could and will have to wait a little longer to hit champion, but its just smart planning. Failure to read the provided information and plan ahead doesn't make the game unfair.
  4. While I see why people are happy to wait in line to assure quest completion, I don't understand why people are so against people coming in and wiping the pylon so they can use it. It's a pvp quest, in a pvp area, on an optional quest. I know my guild group of 4 has abided by lines when they've shown up, but when there was a disagreement we just started a fight and did our best to stay alive to use it at the end. Seems like the pvp thing to do really. Of course you can work around the pvp, but I don't think it has anything to do with good/bad people if someone wants to take part in the pvp mechanic for that area/quest.
  5. I enjoy the assumption that, because the info leak only lists the bowcaster rewards, those will be the only rewards....
  6. I've gotta agree on this one. Especially in terms of the disparity in difficulty of taking down something like gargath or the Primal Destroyer as compared with the Pilgrim. I've done them all, and I like the added incentive to kill these older world bosses, but I'm sure there are plenty who won't bother if they don't feel like they can handle the pilgrim yet, or field 16 people who can. Although I'm sure someone will be responding how their guild brought 12 people in lvl 40-something greens and one shot the pilgrim so he obviously can't be that hard...but for the more reasonable crowd out there I think the pilgrim is a whole different level of progression from the other two. That said, with the addition of augmenting everything and BH comms out the back end with the LFG tool dailies, the pilgrim should be more quickly approachable, so maybe it won't feel so disparate in the near future.
  7. What the above said. As a combat sent, even if slash has a slightly higher damage in the tool-tip, this is made up for by blade rush's guaranteed ataru proc. As a combat sentinel blade rush should take the space of slash in your rotation across the board. The only other thing ive bothered using in ataru zen is cyclose slash when they added that to the list if ive got a group standing in front of me. Nice for keeping the voidstar door clear when theres a mob of peoples and force sweep is on CD.
  8. Also, the quest is, I believe, non-repeatable and the reward is something like tionese comms. No reason not to grab it when you run EV, but its not particularly worthwhile, and its not needed to run the Op itself.
  9. Is that what it says on the PTS for legacy perks? Because the list of coming soon on the live servers aren't accurate to the PTS legacy perks running 1.3.
  10. So the question is do the damage procs from the new campaign relics share a timer with ataru form procs? Ok, I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but I haven't seen it said explicitly yet. Thanks in advance.
  11. Actually... it does, if you're moving the armoring too. But the thing there is of course that you cant just do that with gloves since the way I understand the armoring swap to work is that each armoring piece fits a certain slot hands. chest, feet). That said I haven't really compared the two sets but I cant see any reason you couldn't swap stuff about. Is that 10% damage increase the 2 piece or four piece bonus?
  12. I think you'll be good if only one person does it if the buffs work like normal buffs do. Though I can see why BW might choose to make the extra buffs just fro you...... And its not leveling to 50, just to the end of chapter 2.
  13. Any schematic you have for orange gear, come 1.2, will have a chance (whatever that chance actually is, modified by companion affection and skill i believe) to be critically crafted with an augment slot.
  14. Your first argument is on its face true, but I've always thought that an inherent part of any MMO was a mix of both skill and time invested. Time investment gets you the better gear, removing any handicap, and skill decides who wins on that level, or even allows you to be competitive while under-geared (particularly in a purely objective based WZ environment). Your second argument may even be true, as people will initially try to gouge for crit crafted gear while the window is open, but that should pass quickly enough, and for the people with the credits to buy it they get to have a short term advantage for their time invested in the game. And if youre really concerned about the cost you've got plenty of time before 1.2 to take an alt to top level crafting and stock up on mats for whatever gear you want so you can craft your own. Your third argument is ridiculous and overlooks the place where all these wonderful mods we will want come from, which is to say the top end gear which still needs to be earned from raiding or pvp (although I'm not so sure about whats happening with the mods and such when crafting skills can RE end game mods...). OP's chicken little imitation aside, i agree that higher tier gear should have a way to have an augment slot somehow, to allow players who like the look to keep it without sacrificing the augment stats.
  15. And when we say farm credits, I'm under the impression that the buy-able gear runs about 330k for a full set. So.... about two full days worth of your dailies once you hit level 50. 3 if you skip the heroics I think. Hell of a lot faster than it was before, although the gear isn't on par with current champ gear.
  16. I understand wanting to lower your costs for crafting, but 200k isn't too bad a price with some speeders being sold by vendors for 2 million. If you've got a speeder people want I imagine plenty of level 50's will be willing to pay a substantial amount for it. It's not like there is currently a shortage of credits on hand for 50s out there. Speeders are likely to be lower volume high margin products I imagine, since you only ever need to buy one once.
  17. Well I mean, if you want a completely customized character you may want to have a completed character, which implies a certain amount of leveling, this being am MMO and all. That said, the only limited time color here is white, with the rest likely to be available via artifice and whatnot after 1.2 rolls out. I'd even be a little surprised if we never saw white pop up again down the line as well.
  18. I get those from the heroic daily quests that come about when you hit 50.
  19. Not entirely true, I know of at least one HM boss who drops a self-perpetuating power cell (or something like that)- Malgus from False Emperor. Every other one I've run has dropped the biometric though
