  1. They don't apply to the Cartel Market packs because of what "gambling" means. To gamble, you have to have a possibility of losing your bet. But, with the these packs, there is always an item dropped. Now, you may not want that item, but you still got something for your money. It's the same reason why Star Trek Online can do it with their lockboxes. They always drop Lobi Crystals(A currency) and a possible item from a list. So, if you could buy a Cartel pack, open it and get nothing, then people could go after Bioware. Until that part changes, Bioware is free to keep selling these packs.
  2. All the daily stuff (Black Hole, Section X, Makeb, Yavin and Rishi) is still available. There is no "new fleet". The new vendors are now part of the Galactic Command system. I can't link to it right now, but there should info on that somewhere on the front page.
  3. Please stop spreading this rumor. The only way to get Nico is if you were subscribed on the dates that Bioware advertised. Getting him at Level 1 and his alert is part of requirements to get him which is being a subcriber at that time. No, I do not think that they should release Nico later. Bioware would lose a lot of credibility for any future subscriber rewards.
  4. That is a fantastic image. What armor set is that?
  5. One thing we do agree on. The final boss of each class story should be level 50. It just makes sense.
  6. This has been discussed so many times. Please use the forum search function next. In what way is gear useless? I'll say it again here, Level sync does not take anything away. All it does is put your character within the range of the planet that you are on. All your skills are still there. On the subject of Dreadtooth: Dreadtooth was never designed to be taken down by a single character. Neither were any of the world bosses, for that matter. I also don't believe that there that many people trying to solo Dreadtooth. @DarkLordSnake: It has been explained many times that a toggle feature will not work. "Slap in the face." Yeah, right. I don't think you know what that actually means. Level Sync is not on that level. I apologize for any snark in this post, I'm just tired of this subject coming up repeatedly. At this point, it's not going to change.
  7. Why does Level Sync prevent your Max Level character from going to an older planet and go exploring? I can do that? You still can go off to see that mountain or whatever. There are so many posts in this thread explaining why making the Level Sync optional doesn't work. What content is giving you trouble? I'm currently leveling a Lvl 25 Juggernaut and as long as I have enough crystals, I can keep her gear up to date. The companion changes haven't had that much of an impact on me, whether I'm playing this character or my max level ones.
  8. Ok, maybe "offense" was the wrong word to use. I couldn't think of another that made sense at the time. Sorry. Now the filter could be tighter, yes. It's not so much the content of the message (although that does play a part), but the same message repeated. Which is exactly what the gold sellers do. Spam the same messages over and over until they get reported and kicked. So, unfortunately, you got squelched.
  9. First, all those credentials are irrelevant. It does not matter if you started in Beta or last week. The rules apply to all players. Support is probably not going to lift the squelching because even though there was a lag spike, you still sent enough messages through chat to trip the sensor. Now is 72 hours too long for a first offense? Probably, but that's a different argument altogether.
  10. First, basic formatting or even just paragraphs and punctuation will go a long way. Second, Level Shifting makes everyone level 24 or whatever it is depending on the planet; so even if you group up, the whole group is the same level. Finally, Level Shifting does NOT force you group up with others. I can fly to Alderaan, for example, and wander around completely solo and still kill enemies just fine. P.S. I don't think that making a toggle for Level Sync would work very well.
  11. I've been doing just the class and Planet Arc missions and they've kept me pretty much on level.
  12. The main thing is that there way too many benefits to really change the sync system. I mean, if it was optional, how would you handle the grouping issue. You would probably have to make a separate instance for those that are not synced, but that would be too many resources for too little gain...
  13. Geez, it's like whack-a-mole in here. Stop making multiple threads about this "issue". If you're going to post about the level sync, please keep it to one thread. *sigh* On topic, it's not going to change and you still can one shot enemies....
  14. This. They did say that with the launch of 4.0, a lot of in progress missions would be reset to the starting point. So, like he says, try resetting it manually.
  15. Which Heroics are not solo-able? I've run Heroics with my Sentinel and Nico (Heal mode) quite a bit from a range of planets. From Tython to Alderaan, I can do them all solo. The mobs are still weak little "nothings", just like they were before. I have yet to feel "punished" with my decision to go play on a lower level planet. Here's a question for you: How often did you go to those lower planets before the Level Sync was implemented? I'm willing to bet, not as often as you want me to think. This whole Level Sync topic feels like a merry-go-round. Just endless circles. Maybe Elizabeth can break this circle.
