  1. He's a great character, but I was listing melee tanks only, instead of the ranged tanks. I realize the distinction is arbitrary. The range tanks tend to end up in melee range anyway. I did not include Felix Iresso, T7-01, Corso, M1-4X, Xalek, Lt. Pierce, Kaliyo, and Blizz. Corso wouldn't last 5 seconds in that fight. You could do this with any grouping of the companions (melee dps fight! ranged dps shootout!) but the melee tank fight seemed like it'd be the one to see.
  2. They're all armed and geared. The fight is to the death. Who falls first? Who walks away? So you don't have to recall, that's Qyzen Fess, Lord Scourge, Bowdaar, Tanno Vik, Khem Val, Broonmark, Scorpio, and Skadge. I think Skadge drops quick, but maybe that's just because I don't like him. Bowdaar would hang in - pit fighter vet and all. As for the winner, my first thought is Scourge, but Scorpio might be the surprise spoiler. That's a tough, clever droid. In any event it would be a hell of a thing to witness.
  3. I'm playing as a Concealment Operative. It doesn't feel very 'Star Wars-y', but what can I say - I likes rogues. Anyway, I have a question about damage numbers and items. Let's say one of my stabby abilities does X-Y damage. Then I get a new knife with higher damage than my old knife. Does the knife only add damage to my stabby abilities, or all of my attacks? What determines how much damage I do - the level of my ability, or the weapon I'm using? Both? What's the ratio? How? When? Why? ty in advance to anyone who can both understand my babble and clear this up.
  4. Both can solo - But let's be honest here - Agents are obviously the coolest class, and Operatives are cooler than Snipers. Snipers are soldiers. And that's fine. But an Imperial Agent? They should be versatile. Operatives can stealth, heal, and also bring the pain. (I'm just giving snipers grief. They're fun. But slicing and dicing Republic fools while my cool-as-ice female Chiss agent repeatedly giggles from TA procs? Being able to bypass enemies you don't want to waste time on? Soloing 2H whenever you want? Operatives win.)
  5. As an assault spec you want plasma cell at all times. Armor piercing is for gunnery. Start with incendiary round. Keep that up on your target at all times. Follow up with high impact bolt. If it's a trash mob, just finish off with hammer shots. Next trash mob - incendiary round, full auto (hoping for ionic accelerator proc), hammer shots. For silver and gold enemies, I like to start with plasma grenade, then incendiary round, then high impact bolt, full auto, high impact bolt, sticky grenade or assault plastique, recharge cells, hammer shots, repeat. Explosive round isn't so hot. I like the knockdown and the animation, so I use it sometimes, but you have more damaging attacks. This is for pve. I don't pvp, so I can't help you there, but I do know assault is intended to be more pvp-oriented.
  6. Let's say I have combustible gas and/or incendiary missile and/or fusion missile on a target. The target drops below 30% health. Does the damage increase kick in on the remaining damage ticks (attacks applied before the target's health dropped below 30%) or does the damage increase only apply to new DoT's applied after the health drop. Hope that makes sense.

  8. Yeah, I've got the healing rotation down. Pretty straight forward. What I was wondering was how to go about being more aggressive when I'm on my own. You're saying that when soloing, just play like I do when I'm grouping? Just heal Aric and rarely attack? I'll try it.
  9. Heya - brief background - when SWToR launched, I made a commando healer. But I had trouble finding teams so I made an IA and took her all the way to 50. That was fun. Then I quit. But hey! Dungeon Finder! So I reactivated. In groups I'm doing great, and commando healing is fun. Where I'm having trouble is soloing. I prefer to team, but sometimes you just gotta solo. Those class quests aren't going to clear themselves. I can't seem to get a rotation down. On my sniper, I had the rotation down cold. I knew just how to handle any pull. Here - I just take a kitchen sink approach. I just click all my abilities until the bad guys drop. Aric just shakes his head. It works I suppose, but it's not really fun. Which of my abilities should I be focusing on? Any I can ignore? Should I use plasma cell or armor piercing? I'm guessing AP, but I sure do love setting things on fire. ty in advance for any info/advice. lvl 22 fwiw btw Bioware - next on our wishlist is a dual spec option.

  11. OK - I'm not sure what happened there. What did I do wrong? I'm so disappointed - all that time invested and I didn't get the ending I wanted.
  12. It's not much, but there's not much else worth taking to get higher up the tree. With EMP we can use it often, but yeah it's nothing special.

  14. Threads like this made me real nervous about fighting Jadus. But he's just an elite like any other. Send Kaliyo in until she engages him, then put her on passive, and turn passive off once he's off the platform. By the time you get to Jadus you've killed hundreds of elites, and he's no different. I don't get the problem. Yeah, you have to take him down three times, but so what? You can wait until all cooldowns are done before engaging him again. You could even pace around until Advanced Recon cools down if you want to. Level has a lot to do with it too. I was a 34 sniper by the time I got to him so I had an easy time.
