  1. We now just need 2D and 1H to fill out the group. PM ChocolateSauce#7215 on Discord if you'd like to join us.
  2. I'm finding that most progression groups' schedules aren't great for the times when I'd like to raid. I'm making this post to see if there are people out there with the same problem who would like to form a raiding group. Here's what I have in mind: Raid type: Start with HMs then progress to NiM. Raid time: Tues. and Wed., 8-10pm US pacific time. Faction: Imp. Roles needed: Filled.
  3. I'm a returning player looking for a group of people to raid with. I stopped playing some time before Gods from the Machine came out, but I used to take this game way too seriously and cleared all the other HM/NiM content back in the day. Now I'm looking to raid again but a little more casually. Ideally I can find a group of people who can clear SM easily and like to have fun doing HM/NiM but aren't necessarily clearing everything. My main is a Merc healer, but I have a bunch of alts on both sides. EDIT: I'm on the west coast, and the earliest that I can plan to regularly raid on a weekday is 7 PM pacific time.
  4. An experienced group of players is looking for one dps to complete our 8m team. We focus on NiM raids. We can take any dps class to fill this spot; what matters is that you're a NiM-capable raider. We raid from 6-8 PM Pacific time on Monday and Tuesday nights. If you're interested, send a message to Novar on Enjin. (If you send a private message on the forums, I'll try to respond, but Enjin's messaging system is much nicer.)
  5. Still looking to fill this spot. I've edited the contact info in case anyone had trouble contacting Vaidinah.
  6. An experienced group of players is looking for one more to complete our 8m team. We're a mix of players from Push, Intrepid, and other guilds, and we focus on NiM raids. We can take any class to fill this spot; what matters is that you're a NiM-capable raider. We raid from 6-8 PM Pacific time on Monday and Tuesday nights. Note that we are on Harbinger, not Shadowlands. If you're interested, send me a private message in the forums.

  11. An experienced group of players is looking for one more to complete our 8m team. We're a mix of players from Push, Intrepid, and other guilds, and we focus on NiM raids. A marauder is preferred, but skill is what's most important, and we can move some people around to bring in any class to fill this spot. We raid from 6-8 PM Pacific aka server time on Monday and Tuesday night. If you're interested, send a message in-game to Vaidin or Malyncor. Alternatively, you may contact Vaidinah on the forums.
  12. As a serious player who hasn't yet had the opportunity to enter NiM TFB, I must say that I'm pretty pissed although not surprised. There are already two versions of the raid for those not serious enough to do NiM; I'd go so far as to say that it's insulting to make NiM easier when multiple groups have shown that it is do-able if you're skilled enough.
  13. Thanks; this tip did the trick. I don't quite understand why, but just using the strafing keys and the mouse as opposed to also using the "move forward" key has worked like magic. I was asking about lvl 55 PvP btw.
  14. I sometimes have trouble getting in a position to use back blast on a moving target. Is there any sort of trick that makes it easier?
  15. I'd like to try healing some RWZs, but I don't have anyone to do them with. Let me know if there's a group/guild that I could do them with. I also have a gunslinger that I'm good at PvPing with, but my favorite character to PvP with is my scoundrel healer.
  16. Regarding the Combat spec , has anyone looked into how Blade Rush's priority should change in a Zen phase? When Zen is active, Blade Rush's DPCT goes up by 50%, and its DPF goes up by 100%. (1.5s to 1s cooldown, 2 focus cost to 1 focus cost after the Focused Slash refund.) Also, not using up a Zen charge delays re-building centering and activating Zen again. It is conceivable that the optimal way to play involves using nothing but Blade Rush while Zen is up, but I haven't found anything about this issue any any of the guides.
  17. I did TFB SM tonight, and the weirdest thing happened. In the last phase, I started doing almost no damage to the boss. You can see it in this parse between 600 and 670 seconds. (http://www.torparse.com/a/102116/31/0/Damage+Dealt) If you look at the log of events, you'll see that I was still doing damage, but all of my attacks were doing a lot less damage than they were supposed to. I think that I was standing on the platform that at Dulfy refers to as platform 7 in her guide. (http://dulfy.net/2012/09/26/the-terror-from-beyondterror-from-beyond-operation-boss-guide/) My damage went back up when I moved to a platform that was closer to the boss. I think it was platform 14. Is there some mechanic that I don't know about, or is this a bug?
  18. Hi. I'm a sniper looking for a serious Wednesday-Thursday raid group. My in-game name is Novar'ray'nira. Here's a log of my doing 2K DPS for five minutes against a dummy. Look at the 306s mark, where my last attack finishes channeling. http://www.torparse.com/a/94212 (In case you're wondering, the reason I don't have a raid group right now is that my main guild decided to switch to the Republic side. I raid with them on my Sentinel on the weekends, but I'd like to keep playing my Sniper.)
  19. The part about your rotation and what abilities you use most often doesn't mention high impact bolt. Do you not use it?
  20. Mostly defaults. I used all group buffs, the 4-piece set bonus, and all companion affection bonuses. My consumables and relics were a Campaign damage proc relic, a Columi Crit+Surge relic, and the Rakata power adrenal. The target was an operation boss. Anyways, what you've all said makes sense. I was afraid that the spreadsheet might be inaccurate, but I'm now convinced that it's accurate enough to be quite useful. Thanks for sharing it.
  21. Thanks. 1.3 must've fixed a bug, as I know that my gun used to do more damage.
  22. People in the forums say that Lethality does the most damage against bosses in ops. Shortly before 1.3, I myself found that I did about 150 more DPS as lethality than I did as pure MM. (A bug mentioned in another post prevents my testing my post-1.3 DPS.) On the other hand, Tibbel's spreadsheet from his compendium and this simulator (http://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft-swtor/) both say that pure MM does the most damage, that MM/Eng comes next, and that Lethality has the lowest DPS of the three. What's up? Is this a known issue with some explanation? In the simulator, I just used the out-of-the-box Rakata stats. The stats that I put into the spreadsheet are 1816 Cunning 126 aim 409 power 348 crit. rating 102 surge rating 0 alacrity 414 accuracy rating 0 expertise rating
  23. My "Elegant Modified Blaster Rifle (Augmented)" has all the components of the "Headhunter" Rakata rifle plus a power augment. The Headhunter's damage is 413-505. My rifle's damage is 306-459. Has anyone else seen this bug? I'm pretty sure that it's not just a display bug, as my DPS has been a lot lower than normal today.
