  1. Greetings, all. I've been playing my Juggernaut recently, and decided to try a Immortal/Vengeance hybrid for PvP. Some of you, by the title, are already thinking I'm an idiotic newbie that doesn't know anything about PvP. Of course builds are valid in PvP. My question here is not if they are useful, it is how much weight they truly carry. Doing my background research, I found that the majority of forums recommend "cookie cutter" builds for PvP. I however, do not wish to do this. I want to be successful, but not just by copying builds made by others. Thus, the lolsmash tree is not appealing to me. Nor does a straight Vengeance or Immortal tree. Then, I'm told multiple things in-game, from "hybrid mods are completely junk" to "choose what you want, and learn it." The latter was told to me by an assassin who defeated three 55 players in my guild, along with 2 lower levels, all at the same time. I'm beginning to think that if you learn your class and build well enough, it doesn't depend on the abilities inside it, to an extent. Now, I'm not foolish enough to think that I should just choose random abilities. I still believe some thought should be put into it. Is my thinking in error? Or does it depend on the player more than the build? I know the builds/classes will never be completely balanced, but would a truly good player be able to overcome those imbalances?
