  1. I, for one, support JMD's crusade against grammar nazes. They're the worst.
  2. Character Name: Aristides <Eternal Hostility> Character Class: Sentinel Character Spec: Combat (7/36/3) 3087.32 Gear is full 72s with the exception of a KD belt and three 69 armorings (for the set bonus).
  3. Yeah, I've tried dropping one of the acc enhancements; the problem I then have, however, is that my acc drops down to 99.34% (158 rating) and I was under the impression that anything below 99.5% resulted in suboptimal dps. Given my inability to do any serious sort of theorycrafting, I would be the first to admit that this might be a mistaken assumption.
  4. Character Name: Aristides <Eternal Hostility> Character Class: Sentinel Character Spec: Combat (7/36/3) 3087.32 Gear is full 72s with the exception of a KD belt. I think my acc is a bit high -- 100.44% -- as I can't seem to find a enhancement/impant combo that will get me to ~99.5%.
  5. I don't think the class is OP. I'll address the class and specs for PvP and PvE: PvP Yes, Focus, on account of it being an AoE-based spec, can put up big numbers in PvP but the nature of the rotation makes it slightly less effective against a team with competent heals. Combat has very good burst dmg but can be neutralized or mitigated through stuns and roots during PS windows and is also a slightly capricious spec as there are times certain skills won't proc which results in a dps loss. PvE Although both Combat and Watchman are viable in PvE, I don't' think either are OP vis-a-vis other rDPS classes. Not only are there fights that penalize the two respective specs, there are also a number of fights that are rather rough on all mDPS compared to rDPS as there is either a great deal of movement -- which requires the mDPS to move with the boss -- or the fights employ boss mechanics that are easier to observe with an rDPS (e.g., NiM Dread Guards). I would say that he biggest difference between, say gunslingers and sents, is that if you fail to properly manage you energy for slingers twice in a short period of time you're stuck spamming the auto-attack for a not insignificant period of time. Suboptimal energy management for Sents obviously results in a dps hit but it is relatively easy to recover from the mistake and resume normal rotation/priority.
  6. Dear All: First, thanks again KBN for all the time you've spent compiling the guide and answering questions. I have a few additional questions, however, that I was hoping you and anyone else might be willing to answer: 1) Is it still recommended to use a SA relic with a BA relic? If one of the other proc relics should now be used in the place of the BA relic, which dmg type should be used for Combat spec? 2) Do you use Masterstrike as soon as it comes off c/d * or do you wait until you can fit it into a PS window? Moreover, if one or two of the ticks of MS will fall outside of a PS window, do you still use it or do you wait so that you can get the full channel inside a PS window? 3) Is it recommended to pop Zen immediately upon getting 30 Centering or is it better to wait until entering a PS window? 4) Although I might have asked this before, what value do you use for the Ability Activation Queue Window? Although I usually am around 48 APM on parses, there are still times when abilities, or the transition between abilities, seem laggy. Thanks, in advance for any insight or tips you might be willing to offer. As well, I apologize if the answers to my question were provided elsewhere in the thread and I merely overlooked them. Regards, *Provided the channel won't occur during a time when it is necessary to activate PS.
  7. Think I did everything correctly but I apologize, in advance, if I made a mistake somewhere along the way: Character Name: Aristides <Eternal Hostility> Character Class: Sentinel Character Spec: Combat (7/36/3) 3003.33 AMR Profile: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/a13d3a57-305e-4fa7-8e9c-e8a831704adb
  8. Sorry if I overlooked this, but at what times do you all normally raid and run rateds? Thanks. Regards,
  9. Thanks for helping to put the guide together as it helped elucidate some of the finer points regarding the prioritization of abilities. One question I still have, however, is whether 5/36/5 is still the optimal spec to use now that Oofalong seems to have demonstrated the superiority of 2/2 Valor vis-a-vis Swift Slash. If it no longer recommended to get Swift Slash, does having points in Swelling Winds make any sense? To my mind, I would think that putting those two additional points in Jedi Crusader would be preferable as you could pop Rebuke during any fight where there is raid-wide damage and get a nice focus boost. To be sure, this is situational and won't be of benefit in every fight but I can't imagine any situation in which I would choose to use Cyclone Slash or Sweep. With that being said, I'm not the best at theorycrafting and still have much to learn regarding Combat spec generally, so there might be something I'm overlooking. As such, would greatly appreciate some input from those more knowledgeable than myself. Regards,
  10. Thought of this old thread since server transfer are now live. Sad that so many of the most frequently mentioned names are going to be leaving. Although I never did many ranked matches, I always enjoyed the occasional pug match featuring two competent premades facing one another. As someone who is most likely not going to transfer, definitely going to miss either q'ing with or playing against you all. Thanks for the twelve or so months and good luck on PoT5, Bastion or the like. Regards,
  11. Hey Everyone: Am thinking of transferring over from JC and am wondering if there are any Republic progression guilds that have raid times either in the afternoon or late evening (9:30 EST or later). Also pvp a bunch but would like to join a guild that does both pvp and pve. My main is Combat Sent but would probably also bring over my Sage heals. Thanks, in advance, for any info you all might be able to provide. Regards,

  13. Hey Everyone: Now that the different tiers of Serendipitous Assault relics no longer stack, what is the best relic combination for Seer Sages in PvP? Thanks, in advance, for any advice you might be able to provide. Regards,
  14. I would second the proposition that there is no set rotation. There, however, a few general rules I try to follow when I play Focus: - Use Blade Storm whenever it's off c/d and Sweep is on c/d as it costs no focus when used after a leap or zealous leap and reduces the c/d of Sweep - Spam slash as it reduces c/d of Sweep and helps build Centering for Zen Provided I start with Valorous Call, I usually am able to get into a nice flow going from Zen to Exhaustion w/o being focus starved and w/o having to use Zealous Strike as I'll be able to pop Zen again right as I'm running out of Focus. I like to use Master Strike whenever I think it is feasible -- e.g., I'm not getting kited -- but I'm not sure if this produces optimal dps. I'm sure there are many more experienced players who might be able to provide superior advice, but hopefully this provides some help. Regards,
  15. Again, reckon most of these will go to wayside once everyone is geared/augmented: Sentinel Big Hit - 8757 (http://i33.tinypic.com/2qtgyef.jpg) Sentinel Overall Damage -- 1100262 (http://i36.tinypic.com/2mdov7p.jpg) Regards,
