  1. And with that, any shred of credibility Eurogamer had left, is thrown out of the window. Something you prior rated an 8, which in essence remained the same with several endgame additions and an extended trial for those who do not wish to subscribe, doesn't suddenly become a 4 unless you're completely incompetent as a reviewer. Eurogamer already strongly leaned towards incompetence, and now they've begun making it more obvious apparently.

Yep. This article was obviously written by some jaded player who didn't feel the game was going to be the "WoW Killer" he had hoped for. Very incompetent writer. The game is objectively better than a 4. It's not a 10 to be sure, but it sure as hell isn't a 4.

  2. --..-- I'm a subscriber, but when I'm playing with my F2P friends I hyped up for F2P SWTOR all i can do is nod my head and agree with them some of these limits are a bit overboard.

    FREE to play.

    FREE

    FREE

What do you expect? Don't you even not have to pay for the software with F2P? You're getting a bargain, sorry.

  3. I don't know, I kind of like the idea that you can't get everything in this game instantly. When I head off into the wilderness of Tatooine or Taris, it's nice to feel that I'm away from civilization and communication. It would be immersion breaking to get e-mail in those situations.

Agree totally. Why bother having medical droids, GTN terminals, or ANY other NPC for that matter? It should be available at a click of a button, right?

Walking to a mailbox takes no time at all. Don't be lazy.

  4. So you're saying we HAVE to make our own Premades just so we can hold out against other Premades a little bit longer?

Yep, smart idea, I bet Biowares sitting at thier HQ and thinking "my god, this is genius! Let's force the SWTOR PvP playerbase to run Premades because we implement this Desertion Penalty! Hire this guy immediately, let's hear what more brilliant Ideas he has for making PvP even badder!"

Rofl, whereas you'd be pounding down Bioware's door screaming "Bioware, save us from the mean ol' players using dirty tricks like teamwork and strategy! I only want to play with players who DON'T use that, like me!" :(

    Cry all you want.

  5. Great, so when I'm vsing a Premade and getting stunlocked to death 10 seconds after I leave the spawn everytime I will be forced to stay and feed the Premades Medals otherwise I get penalised.

    Smart idea you got there/sarcasm.

Premades are only able to be made by everyone else but you. True story.

Afk'ing is a non issue. Vote kick them and, surprise, afk'er gone.

And how many of you who say no to this are the same ones who look at the Ops HP list and immediately ditch? Yeah, thought so...

This needs to happen. Man up people... Not every WZ can be WH gear only. Make your own premades if you hate fighting against them so badly.

  6. Was hard to say... it happened pretty quickly. Was trying to stop a door being bombed in Voidstar. I exited the drop-area, was stunned, popped breaker and stunned again all in pretty quick order. Didn't look at my resolve bar the 1st stun.

It just seems to me that if you've just been stunned, there should be a global immunity before you can be stunned again. It's out of control, and makes PvP a lot less fun than it could/should be.

  7. Why are they even telling us how many cartel coins we get when they haven't posted a price list for the cash shop? The number is entirely meaningless.

I can't believe how many people are excited and/or upset about the number when it's not based on anything I can see atm...

    Lol...

    Bioware: Here's some free stuff!

    You: Screw you!

  8. Make it so if you get stunned, you can't be stunned again for 30 seconds. You can still be stunned, killed, respawn and hop back into battle with the immunity, so your resolve bar will not be totally useless. What a crazy concept..
  9. Even with the resolve system changes, it's very much possible to be chain-stunned, or close enough to make no difference.

DAoC did it right. Get mezzed or stunned? Can't be mezzed/stunned again for 30 seconds. PERIOD. How hard is that for BW to understand? Hell they OWN Mythic, don't they? lol.

  10. It's an option in the interface, just turn it off if you don't want to see the "text" oor numerical value of their health.

If you don't want anyone else to see it, screw you. I like seeing what spell i need to cast to finish my enemy OR what size heal my allies need.

And incidentally, I'd like to know when to leave a WZ before it starts or not. Basically, if there's more than two people <= 15k then I'm not wasting my time there.

And screw you too, Internet Tough Guy. I guess you were never a new 50, and created your character a PvP god in full WH. I honestly hope that people saw your gear when you were recruit, and would leave WZs because of YOU. Gotta love MMO snobs. Yay community!

I'll be glad when they implement WZ desertion penalties.

If someone has time to tab around to health bar numbers they are obviously not playing the objectives and are just medal hunting for the scoreboard.

And this seems.... unlikely to you? It takes about a few seconds to find just one lowbie, look at the name and, you know, use the 'ol memory to remember to go after him for all those phat medalz.

Changing it would also affect PvE. Think about that.

What I'm suggesting is change this to percentage only for PvP.

This is not an unreasonable request, although Switterz seems as though I just demanded his first born son  I'm sure it's not some rampaging problem, but it would be a nice Quality of Life change.

That or just have everyone in any WH gear queue for their own tier of WZs because let's face it, the disparity between WH and recruit is absolutely staggering. It's as if recruit's might not be wearing any gear at all. That's not fun for new 50's, and why are we playing a game if not to have fun?

  11. Pretty straightforward request here.

If you're going to pit War Heroes in the same WZ as brand new level 50's, at least mask an enemy's HP readout to show a percentage, rather than allowing a fully geared Warhero to single out those with 13-14k HP to massacre, over and over again. To be clear, I'm not talking about the HP bar above their heads, keep that the same.

And to beat the trolls to the punch, no, I'm not in recruit gear myself so let's leave out the genius replies of "cry moar, noob" or "L2P". This is simply an idea to make Warzones... again, which pit Warhero vs Recruit, just a little more fair. Albeit a very little indeed.
