  1. Been sub’d since launch for all but 2 months. I can’t express enough how much I hate these changes. However, this is their game and they can do with it what they want. But I don’t have to be a part of it. I’m done. Sub has been cancelled. Good luck to you all.
  2. Can someone please share the discord information? I’d love to join and contribute my opinion. Seriously.
  3. I purchased the new Red-Gray crystal. When previewing the crystal in my assassins duel saber it shows a nice gray core with a red outer color. However, once the crystal is placed into any of the several duel sabers I tested, the inner core is colored a shade of red. No tunings or sabers with special effects were used. I would prefer the saber show in game as it does in the preview window. May thanks.
  4. It would be best to start the stream with an apology. Take responsibility for the horrible mess, and then tell us youre doing away with RNG Gearing. That would be a start.....
  5. The real person they need to stop listening too is whom ever came up with the Galactic Command RNG gearing system.
  6. I agree completely. God, I hope they address this today. Give us some sort of hope.
  7. So then, the question is : Who is Ben's boss? And should further efforts be made to get that persons attention?
  8. This guy has it nailed. Nothing to add to this. I have read literally hundreds of pages of posts this weekend. And I have created a few myself. None hit the mark better than Gabigool just did. This guy is spot on.
  9. Feel free to use page after page of forum threads and posts as my bullet points.
  10. I think there is now a consensus view among players that the Galactic Command RNG gearing is not what was wanted. Asking Bioware to change it to a Legacy system is not enough. It would still be too restrictive to playing alts and minimizing the grind. Don't accept that Bioware lay a turd at our feet only to complain in that the turd should be shined a bit. It would still be a turd. Implement the token gearing system again. Incorporate it along side Galaxtic Command in some way if you just have too, fine. But the token system worked. But please know that RNG Gearing is not anywhere near acceptable. Good luck and happy gaming.
  11. I don't think that's good enough. I remember when I was a young person and would talk with my friends about dating. One guy would employ the "how about just the tip" line. And you know what, even if it's just the tip, you're still getting screwed. The ENTIRE RNG GEAR SYSTEM should go. Don't let them wiggle out of this horrible mistake with half measures.
  12. I think it would be a HUGE MISTAKE to continue with RNG gear drops. That system is horrible and there is clearly a consensus of thought on it. The gear token system needs to return. They can tweak it or incorporate it into GC somehow, but the RNG has to go. I am sure Bioware will react to all the negative feedback in some way. But Legacy RNG is still RNG. And that's just not acceptable. Letting them scrape by with less crappy is still crappy.

  14. This is a great post. The horrible craptastic system that is Galactic Command has killed any enthusiasm I may have had for the story. I was no fan of KOTFE due to disjointed story with gapping holes. However, I hear KOTET is a huge improvement. Maybe I will get around to completing the story, but for now, I can't even bring myself to try. Good luck and happy gaming.
  15. Thank you. I hope it came across to Bioware just how much I dislike 5.0. I hear the story is much improved from KOTFE, which wouldn't have been to difficult to achieve, as that's a complete mess also. But I can't bring myself to even begin KOTET because of all the horrible dumped in with it. I am sure I will get around to doing the story at some point, but 5.0 changes have killed any enthusiasm I had for it. Other games have attempted RNG gear grinds. They didn't go over so well either. I hope they implement changes throughout this 5.0 crapfest. I would love to return to my once favorite MMO. Good luck and happy gaming.
  16. I have to humbly disagree. I think that hanging on to any part of the RNG gear system would be a mistake. Bioware claims they did away with tokens because they were confusing for players. I don't believe that.... at all. Bring the token system back. Alter it in a simple manner somehow, fine. But RNG is flat out the worst gear implementation ever placed in any game. Good luck and happy gaming.
  17. I just want to give my thoughts on the 5.0 expansion. It's not fun. Lets start a few months back..... Bioware creates an event, DvL, that encourages us to create lots of alts and play them to an advanced level. And to also encourage us to complete lots of different kinds of content within the game. Cool. I'm ok with that. I have been here since launch and had not completed some of that content. So, I create 9 new characters and completed the Legendary achievement for the event. It was a long haul through a lot of stuff I had already done and some I had not. I created toons in new rolls, such as healing, that I had not played before in order to break up the monotony. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed DvL. Now comes 5.0. It's not fun. First, Bioware takes away my achievement for the DvL event. A lot of time and effort feels wiped away. That's not nice. With Galactic Command System, playing any of my alts (that Bioware encouraged me to make) feels punitive. Punitive for me, my guild team members, and for pvp teammates. That's not fun. The RNG gear boxes feel punitive as well. In fact, I believe the new gearing system is the WORST part of the expansion. It's not fun. Grinding away at GCXP is horrible. I don't know anyone who plays a game and says "wow, grinding all that crap was fun!". You know why? Because GRINDING IS NOT FUN. On top of that, they ask me to run the same content, yet again, for rewards and GCXP. That content was fun a few years ago. Now? They're not fun. Oh yeah, the new DvL systems is dumb. After doing the original DvL and seeing Light Side win very easily, what made Bioware think the new DvL system would be any different? Watching Light Side win over and over and over and over................ is not fun. So my question is, if Bioware is in the game business, why would they create a game expansion that is NOT FUN? If you actually read this post, the title should have you very concerned. People don't play, nor pay, for games that are not fun. You know whats less fun than playing SWTOR 5.0? ................ Paying for it. I really hope changes are made to the entire system. I have removed my payment info from my recurring sub. For now, I can't bring myself to play. It's just not fun. TLDR - This just isn't fun. Good luck and happy gaming.
  18. From 0 to Turd? I would rate this Diarrhea. Come with all the spit and polish you wish, its still Diarrhea. At times like these, its good to remember: 5% increase in customer retention can increase a company’s profitability by 75% 80% of your company’s future revenue will come from just 20% of your existing customers Attracting new customers will cost your company 5 times more than keeping an existing customer
  19. But that's not what they told us. Curious........ So, you think they wouldn't simply tell us "Hey, we forgot to add the new packs items into the BSG packs, so we are taking them down until the error is corrected." Instead they tell us specifically that its to "coincide with the launch of the new Strategy Alliance Packs."? I'm not saying this particular screw-up is beyond their repertoire, or wouldn't be fitting with their impressive run since November. But, I would wager its not the case. Attracting new customers will cost your company 5 times more than keeping an existing customer 5% increase in customer retention can increase a company’s profitability by 75% 80% of your company’s future revenue will come from just 20% of your existing customers
  20. This is HILARIOUS! I have never seen a company work harder to screw things up. The "metrics" have obviously shown that the Cartel Packs aren't selling so well. So, Lightbulb!.....Lets remove the BSG Packs that seem to hampering those sales. Just how many FUBARs can one company inflict upon themselves in the shortest amount of time? 1. Nerf Cartel Packs to a single (potentially) useful item. 2. Introduce NEW PACKS of BSG items, yet don't segregate by pack releases. 3. Remove NEW PACKS of BSG items because to stronk, and eating into profits of Hypercrates and such. 4. Nerf almost all dps specs, yet fail to touch Sorc/Sage healers. 5. Allow gamebreaking exploit for 6 weeks. (AGAIN) 6. Hold a single chapter of story content hostage for the cost of an 8 month sub. A chapter nobody seemed to be asking for. 7. Tell your progression raiders to find something else to do until next year, maybe. 8. Tell your PVP community to find something else to do....... FOREVER. 9. Tell the noobs who relied on companions (and who you were hanging your hopes on for growing the game) that the companions are to strong and we're going to nerf them. 10. Tell the noobs and vets "You know that companion nerf..... well, nevermind." Yet many were already gone and never heard that part. That's just my current Top 10 starting from November! Attracting new customers will cost your company 5 times more than keeping an existing customer 5% increase in customer retention can increase a company’s profitability by 75% 80% of your company’s future revenue will come from just 20% of your existing customers Incase your wondering, I already cancelled my sub. It runs out in early January. Had been 6 month recurring since launch. I have acquiesced to their subtle hints and will be taking my money and game time elsewhere. Happy Gaming!
  21. Reading comprehension might not be your thing. Or English may be a second language for you. Either way, I will try to make it more clear for you; Reading my original post, I state that the devs will most likely not make any changes to the game next week, due to the holiday. If the game studio had been located in, say Cameroon, I would have added that to the title if the devs would be out of office during a Cameroonean(?) Holiday. And then mentioning 'MEROON would have been appropriate. And since youre curious as to why I would make a new thread rather than add to the current pinned thread: 'Cause I wanted. I hope I was able to help you out here. If you require any further assistance, please don't bother. Happy Gaming!
  22. I think you misunderstand my sentiment. What I am getting at is that I do not like the changes from 4.0.2. I can and will easily "re-habit" myself for the holiday, as I stated in my original post. I don't like the state of the game and will spend my game time in places other than SWTOR due to those changes.
  23. I think the OP expressed how I feel right now. Thank you for taking the time.
