  1. Definently not, what people seem to forget is that while the originals were known for their special effects, the digital special effects of this age, is not what made star wars. It was the painstaking amount of effort the original crew went to making models/creating the effects to achieve such a visually impressive movie. Along with the typical romanticised hero sci-fi story. Also, no one can replace Porkins.
  2. Yes, Needs some major improvements to maintain my sub past 2-3 Months however, I enjoy the ability to play through it with friends, but sometimes i get the feeling that I'm playing a Co-Op game not a MMO. This isn't always a bad thing, but running out of things to do is.
  3. The game wasn't refined for end game play. That is the unfortunate thing and is really where they seemed to drop the ball. I'm having a blast, but I didn't start on release like a lot of people, and as a result, I am not level 50, so I'm going purely off peoples opinions expressed on this forum. I think the main focus was questing, this is evident in not only the style of operation/flashpoints, but also in the way that they released the combat system, in that overall it seemed very clunky(Despite the overall design being great). This sort of lead to the PvP clearly not being highly competitive, and i gather it also had a rather large influence on the PvE side of things.
  4. Sith has to much hate, perhaps we think that we live with too much hate in our every day life? It is nice to get out of it all, and experience a RPG where as the character, isn't completely consumed by our emotions. Also, Jedi can get romantic, it is just against the rules. AWW Yeah Bad Boy Jedi
  5. This reminded me of the whole "Why Obama critics are so dumb" article. But in all seriousness, this is ridiculous. I love Swtor, because of the story. It is fine that others do not. I understand where some people are coming from- some people honestly prefer mechanics, and others prefer higher visual quality. The problem people have found, is it is lacking in some other crucial aspects which occur within games. Besides, people play single player roleplaying games for story, and even then we expect a certain amount of other components. Though for the record, other then the game feeling a bit clunky on skill activate, I think the game plays pretty well.
  6. This is just the way MMOs work. All end game content, in some way will be a grind. It is how interesting this grind is, which usually defines a game. Once you have acquired max level, usually they will be combining 2 things. Which is story, along with acquisition of gear. The acquisition is usually put in place, so that a person feels a sense of progress within their character. The end game content, should be more story driven however, and from what they have released- I presume that is their goal.
  7. I find that at level 19 Operative I am filling most of my bars. A little more real estate is definitely needed, though I presume this will be addressed in the UI patch. Different people play different ways. The customization should be there. Though really I'd just be happy with being able to keep more bars at the bottom of my screen....
  8. One of the reasons I went empire at first was for the accent. American accents can just get painful after a time. Would of liked to of seen a greater variety, especially in the Republic voice acting- as it seems they really did love to use the "Extreme" accents, as people have mentioned (Fake Southern Accents are just eugh)
  9. Dual Speccing would be really useful, I enjoy PvE a lot, however it would be nice to have a PvP spec for when I went and felt like having a bit relaxed fun with friends. I don't see how it is casual(nor do i think casual is bad) , it is a quality of life thing- some people seem to believe that time spent= hardcore Really it should be based on the level of achievement, having 2 characters one for PvP and one for PvE doesnt show anything except that another hobby may be in need.
