  1. capping in voidstar almost exclusively happens when most of their team is waiting in the respawn point while the rest of their team is on the other side, and you have complete freedom to place a bomb. if i was running solo into a group of enemies trying to stop a person from placing a bomb, i could do so despite an eminent stun or knockback. it's that easy to do.
  2. just wondering if people see this for what it is? i've been having a long going beef with a friend i work with IRL about who'd faceroll who in pvp, stupid i know. we've been waiting patiently for this server transfer system to happen so we could put an end to this dispute. unfortunately he is on a pve server, and i am on a pvp server, and are unable to get our lvl 50's together through the deceptively labeled character transfers. i guess the real kicker is that both of our servers weren't even eligible for a transfer to being with, which is sad because my server doesn't even see 30 people total at peak time. i just hate that the developers of this game constantly deceive with clever wording. why not just merge servers normally? its like you're making players have to have some part in it just so it can cleverly look like free transfers instead of a predetermined merge of servers.
  3. well that sounds believable if the server declines weren't implying otherwise. i am not trashing this game just to trash it. obviously after 5 months and still being able to post, i have given this game a chance to change my views. i honestly believe anyone who loves this game more than wow or gw2 is either a big star wars fan and don't really care how good or bad the game is, or was either having trouble keeping up with the hardcore crowd in wow and wanted a slow pace, little content game so they wouldn't suffer from a gear race. i was never one of those people in wow, but i've always been a "just enjoy the game" type of player. i've carried that same mentality here, but everything from pvp to grouping for flashpoints and operations seems like a step backwards in comparison. gw2 is hardly a trainwreck. they had the same amount of servers and just about every single server was full. the feedback on the forums are much more encouraging that swtor.
  4. IMO this game barely made it up to WOW vanilla standards. graphics are better if i had to applaud one aspect of actual improvement. despite what people say, storylines are not better simply because you have a voiceover telling to go grind an area instead of text, so voices where not game changer enough to make me put this game ahead of WOW. i do regret changing games in the end, and now after coming off gw2 beta weekend, i was reminded how good and well developed an mmo can be, and that game is still in beta form.
  5. your team didn't manage to kill a single person. i think that just proves incompetence.
  6. its because some ppl are still confused by what mmo means. mmo means its a game that multiplayer players can play simultaneously. it doesnt mean its a game you need other ppl's direct help to be able to play. you can achieve top gear in this game on your own. you can choose to group up for instances as well. ultimately the choice is your own to make.
