I am in the military and my flight chief had a saying for this... "If you can make every swinging D**k happy then you need to retire" this is true, every change they make will inevitably piss somebody off so you cant really expect bioware to "avoid arbitrarily (nice vocab btw) annoying any type of player base" But i do agree with ur view on speeders, there are other ways around this issue.

So I'm looking for a few swtor podcasts to listen to. Does the swtor community have a few podcasts? I know of oldrepublicradio.net and these guys are awesome, they have a great cast and actually make me want my own podcast, but I wanna listen to a few others to get a feel for the community and see if there is a podcast following before I put the work into one. Anyone out there know of others? And for those who do listen to podcasts do you think a new swtor podcast is somthing you would listen to

Submitted a ticket but I was wondering if I was the only one who had in game sound cut out randomly cutting out and having to go into preferences to turn it back on. And is this somthing that the devs are well aware of.

This may be old news but I figured I'd share it and open it up for discussion. I was reading an article online about George Lucas completely refusing to release any more films now mainly because of all of the bashing he is getting from his ongoing changes to the films. First, ALL SIX will be in 3D not just Episodes I, II, and III Second, a mention of an actual TV show for Star Wars (no not the cartoon currently out). How does everyone feel about this one? Do you think it would be any good? Anyone have any other info on this show that is supposedly "in the works". IMO, it brings me hope that maybe he will set it in the Old Republic days. But as epic as this could possibly be, it can also be the downfall of the entire franchise. Thoughts?

thats what i thought, i think its a new interesting dynamic that if it took hold would really bring end-game content within the players. Its a theory, i hope to see it soon, does anyone know of any guilds that are currently trying this?

Yes you do need ur coffee because your misunderstanding me, if u play to get away from that then I'm suggesting you play on a server where it isn't happening like PvE, that's the beauty of having multiple servers is each one is diff. And to the one who suggested EVE, I did try it and it wasn't for me either, you can play that game for a year straight and still not be on par with the average player. Not to mention training skills for WEEKS just to train another for longer, it's a good concept I guess I'm looking for a more dumbed down version. Who knows maybe when server transfers cOme out I'll create a guild on a did server and rule it haha

I am fairly new to MMO's but I've been wondering, do guilds ever jus seize controll of servers, I mean they literally have such a presence that what they say goes? If this dosent happen then why not? I feel it would create a new dynamic to the game, guilds fighting for controll on a server... Maybe my heads in the clouds... But what do you guys think?

Very true, and I would think that these angry posts are people who want their complaints heard, by the community and the dev's. maybe its the time I spent in customer service before joining the military but I cant help but think, "the dev's are people too!" and to sit and read a rant or rave from somebody completely destroying the game calling it "crap" and such that dev is looking at someone just dismantling years of hard work with no appreciation. I guess the whole underlying reason I started this was to bring to light the honest issues with the game in a positive manner to maybe catch the eye of someone, and that person appreciating the constructiveness behind the comment or complaint and hopefully being more motivated to actually bring these issues to light rather than think "screw this guy" the entire time they read the post. Also not only to bring to light the issues but also make known what we as a community DO LIKE so that these features and such do not get nerfd or taken out completely.

it being starwars got you into the game but what keeps you playing it? Again i really appreciate the CONSTRUCTIVE nature to your issues. Lets be honest EVERYONE has their issues with the game because if there was a perfect game out there than we would never be looking forward to a new release of a game etc. Loading screens are annoying... but still can look past for now haha (im just thinking back in the day when i had a Win95 computer that took near 10 min to boot) I understand your issue with crafting and being stuck to one, but for people like me who dont quite get the advanced levels of crafting i think it makes it an easier pill to swallow when trying to learn. My skill in crafting is simply this: get blueprint, craft, RE untill upgrade blue print (prototype), craft prototype, RE untill advanced, craft advanced now what? ive read forums and guides on crafting and still do not grasp the full concept yet so it will be a WHILE before I will master ONE crafting skill let alone manage multiple. Coming from a NEW mmo player, The fact that the game is relatively easy to get a barebones understanding of it is great, and it seems to fair well with your mmo veterans which means that this game has done somthing special to appeal to the most people. But can we expect devs to only cater to the noobs no, but I belive its a combination of allowing you to be introduced to it as well as it being a new game. anyone else?

Great insight, I have seen alot of legitimate responses on this thread that I wish I would of seen amongst others. At least I know I'm not crazy and people do think the way I do. I guess now I'm curious about both? Someone tell me (constructively of course) what some issues are but also what is the good that keeps you playing through it all. I'm really interested to see the level headed gamers opinion.

Uh oh do i see a removal in my future? Im glad to see that others feel the same way I do about this, and I'm glad this thread can act as a sounding board for those who may keep their positive reviews and such to themselves because they are in fear of retaliation from the Negative Mob. But IMO how else would the Dev's know what to keep? Without voicing what is good those good things may get removed and such. This is a lose lose for both teams Optimists: the game we enjoy gets hacked and sliced in an effort to make all the pessimists happy with what they want removing the good aspects the dev's never new we thought were good. Pessimists: the very few things you DO like (if there are any) could get removed because in your effort to make the game better you failed to mention what you "did" like. opinions? also back to my original question to everyone, what keeps YOU playing the game? i really wish someone who does have a lot of complaints about the game could put those aside and fill us in on what they DO like.

true, I already have 2 characters, ones a 23 operative and the other a 24 sorc, both are on diff servers the operative was my first and the sorc was made so i can play with a friend of mine on his server, I learned more with my second so far and i really havent played with him or his guild as much as i thought i would. I guess doing it a second time around i learned a bit more, but theres still alot to go. I just wish he woulda been on a pvp server as I feel it adds a whole extra aspect to the game without much sacrifice really.
