  1. QFT...I also find frustration with getting groups together for lower level flashpoints. But as is stated here. I understand why people don't group for lower level flashpoints because the rewards vs time invested are complete crap. Social points should be awarded after completion of a flashpoint, and be increased according to group size. Lets say 400 social points per flashpoint more for hard modes or ops groups. Level 50's should be rewarded social points for grouping in any flashpoint they group in. Social armors and other rewards should increased this gives people reasons to do the content besides just farming HM flashpoints etc...
  2. I have not had this much fun playing an MMO since WoW was released. I really enjoy the gameplay. Its not to say its perfect. There are flaws some of which can be big problems if they are not dealt with. As I see it...here are some problems that consistently distract me from the fun gameplay experience. 1. I play a Jedi Shadow as a Mirukla. Please fix the clipping issues when i show my helm. Hair on the outside of the helm...unacceptable. Generally speaking bugs need to be squashed in every patch, and they need to happen regularly. 2. Graphics. Improvements need to be made here for those of us with high end systems. I am not saying its the worst looking game in the world. I am saying it can look better for 2012, and it should. 3. UI (I know improvements are coming) There needs to more options, and features. 4. Endgame needs to be expanded. This needs to happen quickly. Once the next bright shiny MMO is released people will not sit around in SWTOR waiting for hard modes. gamers are always looking for new and fresh content, and they flock to it. If SWTOR does not rapidly add content to endgame many players will leave when new games/expansion are released. 5. Population. This game is enormous. Its so huge that the planets feel empty, and they are lifeless. I think the sprint should be available at level 10 when you pick your advanced class. I think vehicle speeds should be faster. I think players need to be given distinctive reasons to go to Cantinas (such a big part of Star Wars). I feel this could be tied to social points somehow. some servers may need to be merged. 6. Crew Skills...I like the way you can send companions out on crafting missions. I think more crafting missions need to be available. Crafting quest lines need to be added. 7. I personally dislike pvp. I have no comments on this one but I am sure others do. These are just a few criticisims I have for the game. As I said earlier I really do enjoy this gameplay. I hope Bioware continues to address these issues, and improves on my already great gaming experience. Thanks for reading.
  3. Graphics matter in PC games. There is this myth, and yes it is a myth that WoW got millions of gamers because the graphics sucked and everyone with a Commadore 64 could play. People played WoW primarily for the extremely fun gameplay experience. Graphics options are key...gamers with high end pc's want high end graphics options. People playing on Dell's need lower end graphics options. I am not saying graphics are everything. For me personally the shadows are so horrible in swtor that they become a distraction. As fickle as gamers are if Bioware does not make some big improvements in a short amount of time then gamers will leave in droves for the next big MMO. They do not have 7 years like WoW to get it all together. They have more like 1 year...maybe. This game has a lot of growing to do in a short amount of time because there are other gaming companies chomping at the bit for the market.
  4. Well...in the pre CU one of the primary ways people were griefed was flagging them or making them go "overt" basically making them pvp active and a viable target. This was done a variety of ways. Essentially a player could be forced to be attackable in pvp without intending too. I personally witnessed in the PRE CU on the server Scylla a group of griefers who made thousands (literally) of mines and planted them at a very popular spot for crafter tents. In the early days (pre cu) If you stepped on a mine your pvp flag was automatically activated. This then made it impossible for crafters to get to their tents to restock their vendors. they would literally be blown up...if somehow they survived the griefers were nearby to /headshot them. This went on for weeks. Thus effectively choking off the entire economy. Also "clone camping" was a very common form of greifing in pre cu swg. clone centers is where you rez'd after a death. When your rez'd your pvp flag was still active and you could be immediately killed over and over etc... There were two skills knockdown and dizzy that if applied to you could incapicitate your character indefenitly. There were no diminishing returns on this. This was often used by griefers to kill you so that you could then be clone camped non stop until they got tired or bored. Krayt Dragon scales allowed crafters to create weapons that were extremely over powered which of course all griefers used to their advantages to do the things I listed above. Bottom line is SWG is over and done with. I just am pointing out that those who romanticize the Pre CU either "A" didnt play during that time "B" have short memories or "C" was a greifer themselves, and are looking to relive fond memories Those are a couple of examples for you.
  5. SWG is getting tossed around here so I would like to comment on that a little. I played SWG from launch and at all stages of change it went through. My first point is about the "pre cu" It was a true sandbox game. It had massive issues, and some of them where game breaking. The biggest issue was just general balancing of "classes" Hybrid classes were the name of the game in pre cu swg. There were hybrids you could create that were so overpowered they could take on mobs of players or the hardest level mobs in game. It was not fair. Griefing was rampant in the game. People were griefed so hard that I witnessed on several occasions players camped for hours until they would logout. I saw crafters griefed so hard that SOE had to implement immediate hotfixes to stop the griefers. There were so many hybrid options the devs had no ability to balance anything. The sandbox pre cu world was great for some. Many people used their creativity and did really awesome things to contribute to the open world. But the world was lawless, and lacked rules so of course the roving packs of griefers bullied people around, and ruined the great experiences of many others. The Devs had so little control of the world they felt compelled to change the whole thing. We all know how that ended. Its the old adage one bad apple spoils the bunch. If we removed laws in our society good people would mostly remain good even without law. It's the other people, the "bad apples" so to speak that we have to create rules and laws for. Mostly to protect ourselves. Sandbox games are great...in theory. The biggest problem with them are the players themselves. Fix the exploitative, psychopath, thieving, griefers also known as teenagers (joking kind of...) and I am sure sandbox games would be awesome. Ohh and btw if you can do all that give me your name. I want you to be President.
