Anyone who says that the Sith Empire will win this war based on Palpatine's "thousand years" line has never read the Darth Bane novels. The reason he said that is because of a little thing called the Ruusan Reformation. Basically what happened was, after Jedi Master Hoth and 100 other Jedi sacrificed themself to defeat the Sith once and for all. when the Jedi died, Darth Bane escaped and took his own apprentice, creating the Rule of Two that we see on the movies. The Republic Chancellor, meanwhile, ordered the Jedi to disband their Army of Light, and they agreed. The Chancellor made the Ruusan Reformation, which basically remade the Republic. It transformed from "The Old Republic" into "The Galactic Republic." Hence why Palpatine says "a thousand years." The Republic itself stood for longer than 1000 years, but the current government seen at Palpatine's time had stood for a thousand years. So the Sith Empire will likely be defeated in this game, IMO.
The Ruusan Reformation happened after a completely different Sith War. The one against the Brotherhood of Darkness.
They have no bearing on this.
What we know is that Kaan and his brotherhood reconquered Korriban. Whatever happened completely removed the presence of the Sith Empire from the planet. Either the Sith lost control of the Empire and the other Empirials became part of the Republic (which would explain why the Imperial accent in TOR is the same as the Coruscantian accent the Galactic Republic) or something else destroyed the presence of the Sith Empire utterly on the planet. And considering this is the seat of the Dark Council, this would have to be major.

The Rule of Two is retroactively interesting if you think about it.
Bane got the Rule of Two from a Sith Holocron of Darth Revan. The same Revan we now know was being controlled by the Sith Emperor at that time.
Did the Sith Emperor thus create the rule knowing that eventually it would lead the Sith to victory?

Galactic Republic (the one that appears after TOR).

Our Sith Empire.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Empire_(Post%E2%80%93Great_Hyperspace_War)
Compare the symbols.
Now look at the symbol for the current Republic in TOR.
It doesn't take a genius to see that the Sith Empire is probably not gonna be beaten.
Also, in 22 BBY, Palpatine said:
"I will not let this Republic that has stood for a thousand years be split in two."
TOR happens at around 3600 BBY.
The Republic in the movies is not the same as the one in TOR. There is no guarentee the Sith Empire get beaten.

Knowing George Lucas, he'd rather do it in that awful piece of **** CGI he uses for The Clone Wars that looks like PS1 graphics shat themselves.

Does that mean Obi-wan Kenobi's ancestors were once aligned with the Sith Empire?
-
Killing the Emperor was what broke his Battle Meditation which gave the Rebels the gap they needed to blow up the Death Star.
Thrawn confirmed this. If Vader hadn't killed Palpatine, the rebels wouldn't have gotten close to the Death Star.

Basically.. ive found a real nice sounding/looking lightsaber lightsaber thats around level 23
Now if i put level 50 mods on when i adventually get there.. will it be as good as say a level 50 lightsaber with the exact same mods ? Or will the level 50 saber be slightly more powerfull in terms of base damage because its a higher level ?
My current 23 saber has Crystal, Mod, Hilt, Enhancement so if i put level 50 mods on all these will it match level 50 light sabers with the same mod ?
Yes, it will.
A good moddable saber will last you forever if you keep upgrading the mods. I kept mine because I like the ignition sound, the shape and the threatening hum. With all the mods, it has great stats.

I would love it if people could take that list and correct/add more events. I've only played Warrior and Inquisitor to the end so I'm clearly missing a lot events
-
As it stands, all the class stories happened in some way or form. Barring alignment decisions, there are a lot of events that always happen. As far as we can tell, not every event happens at the same time.
I want to try and see if we can put the major events in a chronology. In the spoilers, I try to outline what I know through classes I've played and the reasons for putting them in this order.
Jedi Knight meets the Emperor at the end of ACT 2 (Reason: Not same character as Voice of Emperor on Voss)
Sith Warrior and Lord Draahg kill Darth Vengean. He is replaced by Darth Baras on the Dark Council.
Darth Baras uses Sel-Makor to imprison Voice (Voss) in the Dark Heart.
Lord Scourge joins the Jedi Knight
Sith Warrior is betrayed by Baras as he tries to become the new Voice.
Sith Warrior becomes Emperor's Wrath to replace Scourge.
Sith Warrior kills the imprisoned Voice on Voss.
Emperor's Hands prepare rituals for new Voice.
Sith Inquistor and Darth Thanaton start their Kagath.
Sith Warrior dismantles Baras' agents on Corelia, saves Darth Vowrawn and releases the Emperor's lover (The Entity, possibly Kreia?) from Baras' control.
Bounty Hunters kill Supreme Chancellor Janerus.
New Emperor's voice is chosen and possessed.
Jedi Knight arrives on Correlia and helps retake it.
Jedi Counsular beats First Son of the Emperor (weakening Voice for Jedi Knight).
Imperial Agent traps Darth Jadus (he is absent during SW vs Baras).
Sith Warrior defeats Darth Baras in the Dark Council chambers.
Sith Inquisitor defeats Darth Thanaton in the Dark Council chambers (Darth Thanaton is present during SW vs Baras while Baras nor Vengean is during SI vs Darth Thanaton)
Jedi Knight kills new Voice (mail from Servant One appears after SW kills Baras, character that Jedi Knight beats doesn't match the description of Sith Emperor from novels as a Sith Pureblood with black eyes.).
How does this look for a chronology?

It's wierd because I decompiled the music files in the install and it has over 1100 songs.
Sure, a lot of them are 8 sec bits but there are a lot of original songs that sound awesome like remixes for Battle of Heroes and Duel of Fates.

I didn't want an award ceremony really.
Just a final scene where you talk to your crew and be all.
Ok, we beat Baras and I'm now the Wrath. What are we gonna do now?
I'm also sort of conflicted that your alignment doesn't affect the ending. Jedi Knight gets into a conflict with Jedi Master Shan at the ending if he's too darksided and Sith Inquisitor gets a completely different Darth name depending on his alignment.
I can understand that this doesn't matter for classes like Bounty Hunter or Agent since they don't use the force, but I was completely lightsided at the end. The Council should have at least made remark about this.
-
Is it me or was our ending unimpressive compared to the Sith Inquisitor?
I mean yeah, settling things with Baras and then having the Dark Council acknowledge you as Wrath is pretty cool, but I'm kind of missing an epilogue of sorts to wrap it all up.
You just walk out of the chamber and it's off to Illum, woohoo. Meanwhile the Jedi Knight gets an entire award ceremony with his companions, so does the Inquisitor.
Would it have killed them to just add one more scene with your entire crew for closure?

You are clueless.
You are overentitled.

im sorry that i used cash on this game, im even more sad that i chose the 3 month sup. canceled accout, and threw away some good cash on an unballanced game with way to many issues.
i hope many players will wake up and chose another game.
sad to destroy star wars so much.
I didn't even read your post

Any dev response on the design philosophy behind this atrocity would be appreciated.
Please devs, stop what you're doing right now and give me and me alone insight on why I have **** luck.

Poor gameplay performance - check
Tons of bugs yet to be address - check

Bad business decisions(cutting corners to push out a product before its ready) - check
Declining player base by the day(http://www.mmo-junkies.net/statistics/) - check
Lack of content - check
Lack of difficult content - check
Poor thoughtout game mechanics(ilum and forcing fighting in one particular spot in open world pvp when one side has a 3 to 1 advantage) - check
Single player was fun though. Would love to hear what other people think.
Nope. And your thread is worthless. Go back to /v/.

By acting like "feedbackers" are "trolls" whose posts need to be shut down immediately, you fanboys defending every current aspect of SWTOR are actually the biggest detriment to this game at this time. Design flaws need to be identified and remedied quickly, so let people provide feedback and don't defend poor design decisions!
It's incredibly annoying all the fanboys who say "Hey the game has only been out a little over a month. Give it time! The other MMO has been out for 8 years, how can you compare?"
Yet, the second anyone complains about something, the fanboys jump all over them, defending the current game state.
That just makes no sense.
There's just some things that cant be defended. No matter how much you like this game, there's plenty of room for criticism.
You can't have it both ways.
Many of the people labeled "trolls" are actually big Star Wars fans who simply want their collective feedback to be heard and accepted by BioWare.
Yeah, the people coming in yelling ZOMG WoW IS BEST, ZOMG TOR IS DEAD F2P BY SUMMER and LOLOLOL TORTANIC are the real Star Wars fans and totally not people intent on trolling.

How did the Sith get defeated after the Old Republic?

Oh and that symbol just happens to look like the Sith Empire symbol?
That's totally something that happens.
Hey guys, let's use the symbol of the Empire that we spent the last century fighting and that completely razed Coruscant because it shows unity better than our symbol.
Also, looks like you know **** about Sith lore. Both Bane and Palps respect the Sith Empire and consider it the Sith at their peak according to the Book of the Sith. They're also the only incarnation of the Sith that managed to completely invade Coruscant and subjugate it. Other incarnations like the Brotherhood of Darkness or the Imperial Remnant never got close.
