  1. I purchased the Alderaan Stronghold for my one Jedi (Myr-el) whose backstory is that she's actually from Alderaan - a minor noble family within House Alde. As such, I plan on decorating the stronghold mostly in traditional Alderaanian decor. I'll of course use decorations from various themes if they'll add to the ambiance and help complete the overall feel in good taste. Republic and Jedi decorations will make up the bulk of those, as well as many creatures from throughout the galaxy. Some of the crops and farming decorations may appear as well. I don't like to mix distinctly Republic & Imperial decor as a general rule. The only exception to that is my Yavin SH. However, since Mandalorians have a special niche in Myr-el's story, I may include an out-of-the-way corner that contains a small Mando encampment. I'll post screenshots once I've completed rooms, and I hope to see others' work as well!
  2. Still the same issue @ 7:42 CST.
  3. I've used the following to enhance starfighters in my strongholds: The Bomb Carrier and various bomb & missile decorations like the Encased Warhead Stockpile to imply armament reloading. The Iokath Forge Archway as a repair gantry. Any droid decorations or pets that could be deemed significant to the upkeep of a starfighter.
  4. It's a decoration from the upcoming Armed Resistance Pack, due out sometime before the end of July. The TOR Decorating website has previews of the possible decorations that will be available in the pack, but keep in mind nothing is finalized until the actual pack is released, so Bioware may change, add, and/or delete items at their discretion before then.
  5. You may already have noticed by now, but there are at least seven underwater centerpiece hooks clickable through the windows.
  6. /signed for Jukebox: Manaan Ambience interactive decoration.
  7. This is an often-stated request, and a reasonable one. There is a pre-existing thread about it here. Also, requests such as this get better attention from the devs if you post them in the General Discussion >> Suggestion Box topic area as well.
  8. My biggest problem with the bundle is the Arrangement: Manaan Lounge. I don't mind that it's big and requires a centerpiece hook. What really bugs me is that the layout of the furniture is so linear. It's almost like it was designed specifically for the centerpiece hook on the left side outside near the sea wall (where it does fit quite nicely). As currently arranged, it simply fails to use the area of a centerpiece hook effectively. The standing lanterns could be brought closer to the couch (one to either side), and the two Manaan patio sets that make up the rest of the lounge could be spaced further (perpendicularly) from the couch to better fill the huge space a centerpiece hook offers. Otherwise, I'd have rather seen a Manaan lounge designed with two lights, a Selkath couch, a Cafe table and two Manaan patio chairs that could have been placed on a large hook, thereby making it far more useful overall.
  9. If the ocean view theory is correct, it could indeed mean Manaan or Rishi. The only other in-game worlds I know of with bodies of water large enough for said view would be Ord Mantell (highly unlikely) or Rakata Prime (equally unlikely imho). I'm uncertain whether Odessa or Zakuul have oceanfront views.
  10. Another for the Hook Additions list: Iokath Conduit - add Floor, Medium and Floor, Medium Narrow (currently can only be placed on Floor, Large hooks). It has the same footprint as the Zakuulan Pilaster.
  11. I know the term "chance" is an integral part of the Grand Chance Cube item, but currently there is nothing "grand" about them. With the last three hypercrates I purchased and opened, I acquired 78 GCCs. Upon opening them, all but TWO were Bronze-grade items. The two that weren't were Silver. There really needs to be a better chance for Silver- and Gold-grade items to appear. A 2.6% chance for a Silver item is ridiculously low. I don't even have an example to calculate the minuscule chance for a Gold - let alone a Platinum - item to appear. With pack prices skyrocketing and the returns from those purchases diminishing (charging more for less ), this GCC situation should really be addressed.
  12. I enjoyed your videos and strongholds. The introduction to each was a nice touch.
  13. I had a Statue of a Cowled Man drop at the end of the story mode of Assault on Tython a couple of weeks ago. It surprised the heck out of me, but at least it was a pleasant surprise.
  14. Thanks, Xina_la! I never encountered these problems in my SHs, but I'll check these and post back. I have noticed that occasionally in all SHs that when hooks fail to function, if you right-click on a differently sized hook elsewhere in the room it somehow fixes the issue. I don't know if you tried this on the hooks you mentioned - or if it will work - but I'll give it a go myself. I love strongholds, but I despise the hook system.
  15. Thanks to Bioware for the recent change to this decoration's placement hooks! At the risk of sounding unsatisfied and unappreciative (which I am not), I will further suggest that the Tusken Floor Partition would be more useful in Floor Medium and Floor Medium, Narrow hooks rather than Floor Medium and Floor Large hooks.
  16. * Embed a Cybernetic Supercomputer in the Czerka Corner Office Desk to give your administrative assistants the computing power they need. This is also a cheaper, easier alternative to the somewhat rare Arrangement: Executive's Desk. * Align any of the shorter interactive utility safes or data/computer decorations with one of the table legs in the Arrangement: Executive's Lounge. * Align and embed a Security Mainframe below a Galactic Trade Network (Wall) decoration. It not only provides a base for the GTN, but it can provide emergency credits if you lack funds for that oh-so-important purchase. Taller data terminals also work with blank sides of the Galactic Trade Network (Kiosk). * If you place an Arrangement: Vendor Stall in front of a Floor Medium, Narrow hook, you can embed a Cantina Bar Cabinet into the shelving area to make it a complete bar. This works especially well in areas like the Nar Shadaa stronghold foyers at the bottoms of the stairs. This is an alternative to Xina-LA's excellent suggestion regarding Arrangement: Vendor Stall. * Place a Power Conduit (Green) beneath a ceiling mounted Hypergate Ring for a floor-to-ceiling column or power coupling. Looks good in the garage areas of either the Coruscant or Dromund Kaas strongholds where multiples can be displayed. * After placing an Arrangement: Czerka Food Vendor (if near a Floor Medium, Narrow hook), place an Underworld Cook Stove so it sets within the open side of the vendor stall. For added effect (and humor), place an Emergency Response Droid near the stove so that it's water spray is dousing the fire of the open burner. Placing a potted plant or an Encrypted Terminal (ala Xina-LA's coffee maker suggestion) in the gap between the stove and the vendor stall hides any gap nicely. * Embed one or two of the Memorial Holoprojectors in the Ship Computer: Imperial (Base) so that it appears as if any station attendant is responding to an incoming holo message. It's an interesting and less costly alternative to the Ship Computer: Imperial (Full). Perhaps more later!
  17. Two favorites - one is not in SWTOR; the other is, but not as a playable race. Falleen -- An interesting culture and an interesting race. They would make a unique edition to the game because of their reptomammalian physiology, unique perception of the galaxy, and occasional ties to the criminal underworld. Their ability to alter the color of their skin would grant many options for appearance during character generation. Example: Prince Xizor from Shadows of the Empire Weequay -- This is strictly a personal favorite of mine. I like their appearance and social structure & quirks. I also like the fact that they are as comfortable as Jedi (when Force sensitive) as they are in the roles of bodyguards and bounty hunters.
  18. That's unfortunately true. During social occasions it can be a bit easier if the participants help with the music, ala "popping quarters into the jukebox". The Ambient Machine: Party Chatter can fill the silence between songs as well as add atmosphere to an RP gathering.
  19. I certainly have no problem with the flooring hook being an option, but the [Floor Medium, Floor Medium Narrow] should be the mainstay for this particular piece. The hook decisions for many decorations have always been problematic.. Example: The Cryogenics Tank has hook options of [Floor medium, Floor Medium Narrow], yet the Asylum Experimental Tank - which has the exact same footprint - only has the [Floor Medium] hook option. I just wish the stronghold development team would pay closer attention to the uniformity of objects, stronghold hook constraints (ie: decoration size and ultimate usability), and the desires of the SWTOR community that loves the decorating options.
  20. There are around 6 or 7 jukebox decorations, and all can be activated for music.
  21. My desire for a while has been: Personnel - Civilian - Band Member - Musician - Kloo - Hook=[Floor Small] Personnel - Civilian - Band Member - Musician - Xantha - Hook=[Floor Small] Personnel - Civilian - Band Member - Musician - Chidinkalu Horn - Hook=[Floor Small] Personnel - Civilian - Band Member - Musician - Red Ball Jett Organ - Hook=[Floor Medium,Floor Medium Narrow] Personnel - Civilian - Band Member - Singer / Vocalist - Hook=[Floor Small] Or more simply: Personnel - Arrangement: Band - Hook=[Floor Large]
