  1. Which creates the problem of 1. People waiting in queue 2. People getting frustrated waiting in queue 3. People wondering where the other people are 4. People crying on the forums about no game pops 5. Devs saying "you got what you asked for" 6. You finding another point to make without considering the ramifications at all.
  2. When I made my return to the game, I ended up in a few arenas and got smoked. I hated them. I absolutely took refuge in the 8v8s I knew and started reading some forum guides, managed my rotation better, moved keybinds around, and did a lot of things wrong with trial and error until I started doing better; and all I was trying to do was not be the worst player in the arena for a given match. I think there's certainly validity that certain players shy away from arena because there's more of a spotlight on your individual play. I don't think its productive to say they're hiding in 8v8, because the reasons I've read actually do hold weight. You can be a less than super twitchy button presser and still do well in Warzones by KNOWING WHERE TO BE. There are objectives, and working as a team to win a match is a lot of fun and pumps everyones morale. However, when you make up 25% of your team, you have much more effect on the outcome than when you are just one of eight. So for those who can duel, and also think objectively, arenas offer a place to really showcase your talent.
  3. I think someone already made the point that spreading out a small population over separate queues would kill off one or the other if not both. You could roll GSF into the queue with WZ and arenas and Id still play all 3 even though I don't care for GSF. Your second statement reads that 4-5 straight pops of the game you're waiting for will make you turn the game off and is preventing you from subscribing as well. I really didn't get a point out of this, at all. There has to be games up and running for you to complain about the balance, if they only allowed 1 heal / 1 tank / 2 dps, for each team, it would resemble FP queues, where one or two roles get insta pops and the other one waits a long time. And when people are waiting in queues, they aren't playing in matches.
  4. I love the idea, but I couldn't see them ever doing it. They just don't employ losses in this game where you get setback anything besides a really marginal amount of credits. I even think it would be good for the game, the best PvPer's should be as rich as the best PVE'rs , or lets use the word prolific, instead of 'best'. What they could do, is have you loot a medal from that player, like a "Pendant of the (Legacy Name) Legacy" which stacks on itself to become a more valuable version of itself as you kill this one mouthy fool that you have WZ beef with. So say at 100 kills it turns a higher grade metal (which can eventually be reverse-engineered into a stack of that metal which now addresses the economic point I was making without drawing out of the bad pvpers pocket) ; it's an actual item, it takes an inventory slot, you have to decide whether killing this guy another 400 times to get to 500 is worth your space, and how badly you want to link the 500 pendant on his faction trade chat. I don't much thought on how it could go horribly wrong, i literally just thought of it, maybe it would destroy the entire economy in the game or something. But in essence I like the idea of scalping, and collecting enough scalps of that player that you can use in all sorts of devious ways, or not.
  5. I play both, and at first I felt very uneasy with the commando healing style, but was enjoying being able to trade or two with an enemy instead of having to always having to be on the run. I had to practice Kolto Bomb A LOT. But as I moved up the healing tree, I was really missing the "cast it and forget it" abilities my OP has. I'll gladly trade the stealth for the armor, and now I have that "cast it and forget it" ability as well. As well as a self-targeted HoT that I can use ON THE RUN. It synergizes so well with Hold the Line I can feel the frustration of the players trying to burn me down. That time where I'm either burned out of ammo or waiting for Kolto to come off CD and I'm running for my life all over the place, and I know if I stop and even try to AMP I'm dead, I can now heal myself during this. I dunno, means a lot to me.
  6. If multiple enemies focus you, and you don't get help, you should go down rather quickly. Its what makes focus fire essential. I mean, what do you expect, to drag 3 dps around a map healing as you please? Come on now...
  7. This more of an example of a troll post. See the difference?
  8. I pretty much always debunk posts like these, because I would tend to think logically a development team, plus the testers would have a much more informed view than someone who's just logged in and got smoked. But the damage buff is huge. And hes not whining about wanting to quit, or that kind of garbage. He's just saying there's no room for less than a heavily armored class to solo guard a node. You're dead basically a second or two after you say "SONW HLPE". That said, they are now high value targets, and they will have little choice but to find those stragglers to pick off or risk being focused down immediately. Just like any player that makes a name for him or herself in WZ's, they now have a sign on their back.
  9. Well I wouldn't leave here for another server let me put it that way. I'm currently leveling up a Commando so I haven't done 55 pvp in a while, but it was good when I was. And I'm looking forward to more when I do max out. In any case, it really comes down to making connections and queuing with a friend or two.
  10. The last thing I posted I was thinking from the PVP server point of view, and honestly from the PVE server standpoint I don't see anything coming that isn't instance based. It's silly the things they blindly adopted from other games, if this game had OW world PVP as a mandatory experience in the game they would have progressed it with missions and objectives. But with PVE servers being the dominant server type in the game (5-3 US, 6-3 EU) it's an afterthought.
  11. What about a repeatable daily on each planet that to kill players of the opposing faction that gives credits and rep? It could be a new faction, or it could be a small amount of "universal faction" that you could spend on whatever you like.
  12. Thanks, its in the right section for me, and my GL who posted it originally. Gotcha on the bumps, sorry to anyone who may have been hurt by it.
  13. Hi all, I'm Mazzy, or Marla, or H'ope (imp) in game. I'm recruiting Troopers for our guild, and this is my bio for Mazzy. Read or skip, but it may give you an idea of how we get into our character, no pun intended. Mazzy has spent almost all of her enlisted time as a medic, only furthering her ability to eviscerate imperials recently, as what she calls a "necessary evil" of being a republic commando. Wearing blood soaked gloves, hearing screams for help and mercy, feeling the dizzying vibration of medical probes whirling to and fro; Mazzy has seen the results of the Imperial and Republic argument in such a profound way that she has long lost the gusto that once propelled her to sign on in the first place. "They spend our lives like a gambler spends credits, if logic dictates a certain action, they will abandon it for hope every time." With such a seething hatred for the Sith, Mazzy sticks to her allegiance, but has little use for Force users in general. "By all means you can quote me, at least the Sith showed me what they were from the beginning. The Jedi political subterfuge is what changed my mind about the lot of them. You see them walk solemnly through corridors, with their silence echoing peace, and serenity. I see them pull pieces of houses apart, with children inside, just so they can toss it at an imperial battalion with their peaceful minds. They rack up just as many body bags as their counterparts, you just have to be standing on the front lines to know about it." That's my characters motivation when I play her, I also enjoy my Shadow Marla if and when I log her on. We run WZ groups at the T1-2. We thirst for PvP action, and we like objective minded, winning minded players. When you want to win, you want to play with like minded players. We have very few members, but we are the ones that guard your pylons, heal you, guard you, go west on the coast and sit and make sure your caps..are kept. We accept and expect that level of dedication and sacrifice of our damage and healing stats We run flashpoints, and quest lines, and some run throughs to catch people up when they get close to moving up from twentysomething to 30. We set up world pvp/rp events and will hopefully coordinate some action with the imp side for larger scale endeavors, but for right now, we're just hunting down what we can find. Presently this is what some would call an alt guild, with alt characters in it. I'm not interested in your most decked out toon, I'm interested in the one you want to play, the one you have a story for. Everyone has a main or an alt somewhere that they lost passion for, and the idea of a Trooper based guild sounded awesome, lots of white metal heavy armor and blasters. Sadly, our GL had to leave the game for personal reasons. We would like to continue his vision, and bring some of yours in as well. I don't just want a body, I want your ideas, if I'm getting what I want I want you to get what you want. So what this guild becomes depends very much on what people who currently aren't joined will bring us. If you enjoy PvP on your trooper, and want something a little different, here we are. Send me a whisper or visit the Ghost Brigade website. All the best, Mazzy Bluegrass http://ghostbrigadejm.enjin.com/recruitment
  14. I've had that debate in my mind for a while, but running 21/2/18 I just feel that getting the IR off at range, plus the HIB, then closing for the SS and Pulse, there quite a bit of damage released before counter attack comes into play. I love the Gut sound, animation, but I'm really unimpressed with it as an overall attack. Its like I want to like it more than I actually do. I would try that first spec. Running Ion is going to force 3 wasted points in assault no matter how high you go so make your peace with it. You took the armor buff which isnt going to help you much so I think I looked at that as the most easily moved points in your spec.
