  1. Thanks both for the reply.

When I left the requirement for warzones was lv 10 I think, and I really like the larger group based pvp despite its issues; unsure why they cannot adjust peoples level like that again if they are going to force it to be level 70. I also feel that some builds (such as they are) are just naturally better at the small 4 v 4 or less so without the option to pick your gamemode...

I just don't have the desire to level from 51 to 70 to have what I would consider "fun", and I seriously dislike the 4 v 4 so I guess I will bow out of the game once more.

    Good luck all.

  2. Just trying the game back out after like 6 years or so and wondering about the pvp. I tried to get in some matches and every time I did it was 2 v3 or 3 v4 games. Usually with me being focused down and dieing in of matter of seconds.

Is there no more pvp like huttball? I really hate this small dueling thing so was wondering if I should even bother with SWTOR again.

  3. You are in for one h e l l of a disappointment on gw2 buddy...sorry. I hope people aren't expecting any voice over or cutscenes or choices in that game, because there are none and the voice content is corny. A backdrop of with cinematic black bars upper and lower and npc on right side, you on the left, and the lips aren't even in sync. They are TRYING to copy TOR in the aspect of story and voice over, but have not gotten it. Even ncsoft is seeing where BioWare took mmos. A whole new level. It's called voice over :)

I'm looking forward to gw2 it myself. I don't expect any voice overs, choices, or massive cut scenes. In fact I hope it does not have many them. just because you like watching them does not mean others do. some of it was neat and new the 1st time I leveled to 50, but now I would love for TOR to put in an auto skip VO/cutscence button, would actually make the game more enjoyable for me.

I have logged in 3 times in two weeks, so long as gw2 can keep me interested then I wont be disappointed at all. I could really care less about voice overs, gameplay>all for me.

  4. very interesting thx for psting that vid. i wonder if its working as intended or if thats a bug. based on what the tooltip reads its a bug. but this game doesnt have the most anal tooltips in the world so who knows.

in both the vid and my experience this weekend it happens with hidden strike/whatever smugglers is called. I wonder if this "effect" happens with any other abilities?

    edit:

the volume is insanely low on the vid but I actually listened to it at the end the guy says that "roots are also bugged as well" meaning that a root will transfer the effect through the guard.

  5. Guard does NOT transfer anything else than damage.

Of course, if you are in actual guard range for the effect to be active, it is likely to be affected by the same AoEs as the guarded players...because you're close to them obviousy.

    appears it does...

or did either way I will have to try and test it to see if it's still doing this or I was just hit with a fluke bug.

  6. Sentinels/Marauders suffer the most from the double or even triple animation pump.

I had to spec out of Combat and into Watchmen bc it is so bad with Blade Storm.

whats funny is they still have not fixed it (and yes mara/sent it's very noticeable, seen it on the sin's maul a lot too) and yet it's not some random thing. I can do it on demand, as most people can. so it's not some kind of intermittent problem that is hard to trace but one that can be replicated 100% of the time.

  7. Ability delay has been dramatically improved. However there is still ability stuttering, the animation stopping and/or re-starting repeatedly. It's kind of hard to accept an MMO where you press buttons and you have a random chance of them behaving in a specific manner.

    yup.

the ability delay has gotten much better, but the double even triple (or more if you keep hitting the button) pumping of ability animations still remains.

  8. Am i seeing things or is guard not only transferring damage but also effects? Was in pvp today and had a sorc guarded (i was in stealth) all a sudden im face planting in the ground and I look and a ops has jumped the sorc. We fight for a min and he vanished and hidden strike (knockdown) on the sorc again and boom im face down again.

Does guard actually transfer some effects (knockdowns and snares)?

    bug? intended? I'm going crazy?

  9. Most maps are identical between factions.... im talking down to the letter. I started out empire.... got to balmorra on republic, went to a camp and as soon as I stepped in it I said holy sh*t and ran out..... I thought I was in the empire camp.

It looked the EXACT same! Like everything was identical. But it was republic camp.

Really disappointed that they took such a lazy approach to this game cutting corners everywhere.

    And noticable corners at that.

    this.

sorry but fleet being a copy does not really bug me, but when many of the other locations are copy and paste as well...

it was a way to save time and money, thats fine with me, but where did that time and money go?

    not into raid content

    not into pvp

    not into crafting

    not into gear/customization

    not into character creation

    not into the UI

    not into game responsiveness

    guess it went into VO...

  10. an understandable suggestion, but you have to realize that if they did this, they would then turn around and increase the prices. they balance cost vs time. what they need to do is sell WZ stims / medpacks from the cent / champ vendors.

why? the cost/time ratio would be balanced by the exchange rate.

  11. I don't think he got the point, you supposed to be off doing whatever you want and when you are ready to continue your class quest you click on the guy.

I think he got the point. There is zero reason to be sent to fleet to "click a guy" in order to continue your quest. I can go off and do what I want whenever, but sending me somewhere for no reason is a bit much.

the quest should could have said : take some time off and visit the fleet and when your ready go see so-and-so. but no it forces you to go to fleet as a way point, for no other reason than to simply make you go there.

  12. I actually like the new system of where you can buy the items. however this present another problem since they did not change the "broken gear" pieces. I could spend 123 comms and buy my weapon, but what happens if the next bag I open has a "broken" weapon in it? will I feel cheated/ripped off/pissed? probably.

before it just sucked to simply get the same thing over and over, now that you are actually spending your comms the hit when you get a duplicate is much worse imo. they need to ditch the gear system and simply make it token based like the BM stuff.
