  1. Ok all, I recently spent over 1k on a new computer for gaming, as of now SWTOR is my main game. Using the EVGA Precision monitor I see that it runs SWTOR at 60FPS all the time, it does drop under load or in pvp to about 30-60 FPS, but when just running around the fleet it always sits at 60 FPS right on as if its trying to be right on the 60FPS mark. Please look at my comp specs and tell me what I can do to improve this if anything, particularily the drops to 30FPS. I figure if I ran at say 80FPS my drops when under load would be more like 50FPS or so. Is there some kind of setup I need to do? I just think its weird it just dials in at 60FPS, even though the card doesnt appear to be trying very hard. Windows 7 Home 64bit INTEL i5 2500K 3.30GHZ 6M LGA 1155 1TB sata III 7200 RPM Hard Drive 8GB DDR3 1600 MHZ memory ASUS P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Crossfire DDR3 SATA 3 USB 3.0 LGA 1155 EVGA NVIDEA GTX 570 HD 2.5GB GDDR5 PCI-E If I need to do something to optimize the graphics card for SWTOR thats fine, but even with the EVGA Precision monitor software I would prefer not to OC the graphics card as it doesn't seem necessary? My monitor is a 32"LCD 720 TV, using an HDMI cable to connect to my graphics card. THANKS!
  2. Im sorry but anyone whos played an MMO in the last 5 years or so has to know... the nerf bat makes its rounds constantly due to the player base input good or bad. Classes go Overpowered to Underpowered in a single patch. As long as they dont balance the game around arena I dont see an issue with adding it for bragging rights, but is that even possible???.... Really Bragging rights in my opinion add alot to the game. I really like world PvP which doesn't seem to exist anymore. But-- the fact its a random 1v1 fight tooth and nail encounter makes it exciting everytime. I think competition drives a person and whenever a game can draw in players in this way they wil profit.

Really what would the argument be with this? Other than crybaby arena teams saying they want more... this is the MMO lifestyle though. I really like this idea, I'd take this over gear. Seriously not enough discussion on my topic! Really what issues would this cause other than what I stated, I think its worth a thought? Gambling laws cant possibly even be in play for the fella that mentioned it---- there is no real currency exchange, its virtual money, the same as "free" online poker...
  4. Im sorry but please explain in high level PVP how resiliance wasnt needed by any class? (including Druid which i played at a low-medium level) High armor was meager compared to resiliance... Bear form was good vs melee/physical dmg resiliance helped more overall by alot.

  6. and I just read the posts after the OP. This is after writing the above... looks like the SWTOR community is on the same page LOL damn!
  7. Just like in real life, you shoulda been more pursuasive on the initial chance. (alcohol helps alot) Now she is going to want you to meet her parents blah blah blah. Next thing you know your at her family Christmas and you still aint gettin it..... Stop being the shy guy!
  8. wow... insta-travel... that would make the world feel really big. I know t can be frustratiing and they should at least make direct paths so you can go AFK while traveling to some extent. But asking for insta-travel makes you sound like a whiny little *****.
  9. with little personal play time currently I can agree with a few points 100% -How there is ability lag, that made it past testing and into the game scares me alot. It makes me really think they can't fix it. Who in their right mind would not see that as a HUGE issue and not fix it NOW? scary... -The fact the market has no regular search without selecting the different components, of which new players obviously have no idea what to select (me). I mean seriously... agai n how this made it to live is beyond me. Once again makes me think Bioware has some serious issues when they cant have/fix basic principles such as a search function.
  10. Purely Gaming in mind (SWTOR and future MMO's) Not looking to build my own so please just help me with this! I am looking at a new CyberPowerPC: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DV8QW First do you see anything wrong here, keep in mind I obviously want to keep the price as low as possible but would like to get a PC that can last as long as possible. BIG QUESTIONS: -I've read alot about the i7 having no impact on GAMING over the i5 so I am saving the money and going i5. Opinions? -My biggest question is about the graphics card. I would assume I should get the best I can in the price range im in, and by going with the i5 i was able to change from the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2GB to the more expensive NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 HD 2.5GB . Does this seem worth an extra $128? I am worried about future games as much as I like SWTOR so far the game has alot of issues that will stop me from playing at least until they are fixed. -also i upgraded the motherboard to a [CrossFireX/SLI] Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 Intel Z68 mATX Mainboard from CrossFireX] Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard mostly due to the GEN 3 PCL. I know very little but through my research this appears to be much better than the GEN 2. Opinions? I would obviously like to purchase the cheaper components but at the same time I would like to not have to upgrade for as long as possible. Thanks for ANY help guys/gals.
  11. USING THE NUM PAD ON RIGHT SIDE OF KEYBOARD This is how I played WOW. I used the right side of the keyboard for everything as the number pad is close enough to reach alot of buttons thus I could bind alot of keys.
  12. Bind Keys to your Keyboard and read up on your class. Learn the right order to use talents/abilities vs the classes you face. RESEARCH is key, many people have put countless hours into the class you play and have done well, they should be your "idol" purely in terms of learning to be better. PvP requires using line of sight and strategy, combined with knowing your class in ANY good MMO. PRACTICE is key. Just be sure to have FUN, when it becomes WORK, which it will eventually, stop playing/take a break, or re-roll. Don't be like so many (me included) that can make an MMO a job in which you PAY to work. Good Luck
  13. I totally agree with the above. Elite raiders are ELITE. Of which I USED to consider myself in WOW..... over 2 years ago now though....
  14. new to SWTOR but 6+ years of hardcore WOW. You are spending 100k on respec! dam! What if they implemented a 400k cost for UNLIMITED RE-SPECS? But required to go to a trainer to Re-Spec. That would take care of hardcore players who have the need to re-spec frequently. Seems fair if your already at 100k! ???? Just a thought and Guesstimate on price!
