  1. Bringing the issue up again would mean making a different post. Bumping is considered spam. You might want to try being more rational yourself and not so rude, asking for my death like a little child. Grow up. I did absolutely nothing to you. All I was doing was informing you of the forum guidelines that pretty much every MMO in existence has, which by the way, you were clearly told why you were warned in the first place according to your next post. If you still can't understand why, then contact a moderator yourself so they can outline it for you since its apparently very hard for you to grasp.
  2. You weren't warned for bring the issue back up. You were warned for excessively bumping a thread. Bumps are against the forum guidelines not only here but on every other MMO website such as the WoW forums. It's considered spamming. You violated the forum guidelines and you were warned as a result. It shouldn't have come as a surprise at all. That said, please fix this Bioware. It's incredibly sloppy and it detracts from even wanting to play a Jedi unless s/he's built like s/he can bench press a house or Xena, Warrior Princess.
  3. I've been through a few new MMO releases. I've played FFXI as my first ever MMO, followed by WoW, then Warhammer, Aion, LOTRO, Rift, FFXIV, Champions Online, and finally SWTOR. I've enjoyed the majority of them. Because FFXI was my first ever MMO, I devoted the most enjoyment and time into it. It was an amazing experience and it felt like an absolutely epic adventure. I felt attached to the other players, to my own character, the camaraderie of needing other people felt amazing. I heard a lot of hype over WoW, so I figured "What the hey." I loved it as well. I had wished there would be features I've grown so accustomed to in FFXI in WoW. But despite the differences that took quite a while to adapt to, I liked it. In fact, I've immensely enjoyed every game I've played. Why didn't I stick around? I hated playing alone. Yet there were the "trolls." They were evil players who would complain and rant and whine over the issues, whether they were glaring issues that needed to be fixed or silly issues that needed no fixing at all. They were always being pit against the "fanboys." They were the vigilant defenders of the game defending the fact that the game would be improved, that it would get better and that the issues being complained about were unnecessary and needed no fixing or showed blind optimism. On both sides, you had the good guys and the bad guys. You had the "trolls" who were constructive and thoughtful and stated the issues that needed to be fixed upon or improved but they were bashed by the "fanboys" for being "trolls." You also had the real trolls, the ones who were nonconstructive, typed in all caps, dot shocked the Shaman forums into oblivion, all the while calling the other side "fanboys" as if it was the "foshizzle my nizzle" of the internet. Then you had the White Knights, who assured people the game would get better and things took time. They enjoyed the game, vocalized their enjoyment of the game, and would be sticking around. Yet, they got bashed for being "fanboys" by the "trolls." Time and time again, I've seen this on every new game's forum I visit, especially on FFXIV and RIFT. It just feels especially bad here on SWTOR. Forums have become a battlefield between trolls and fanboys, and anyone caught in between is labeled as one or the other no matter what they say. Like the game? "FANBOY! FANBOY! REGGIE IS A FANBOY! HAHA! GAME WILL FAIL! TAG YOU'RE IT!" Dislike the game? "TROLL! DO NOT FEED! KILL IT WITH FIRE! QUICKLY NOW! GET THE STICK AND BEAT THE DEAD HORSE!" Forums now just feel like wading through a lake full of piranhas. I don't understand what the necessity is with labeling people a fanboy just because they enjoy the game and assure others it will improve or a troll because they voice concerns they feel must be rectified quickly and efficiently. Whenever I see that word, I just end up assuming those are the same immature people who throw the word "n00b" around and think they're hot ****. It'll never stop though. I'll probably get rated down to 1 stars. There wasn't even a point to this, I just wanted to express my own frustration with the cesspool these forums are becoming. I can't really find constructive posts or information with the overwhelming negativity by BOTH sides throwing both words around like a whore at a frat party. TL;DR: I enjoy the game and I really want it to succeed. So does my roommate who plays with me on a regular basis. We level together. We agreed that if the MoP Beta fails to entertain us, we'd make SWTOR our new MMO. However, our enthusiasm for the game's success and what we feel is an overwhelming amount of content will make us fanboys for a subpar game. Yet we also have our frustrations with the game. No Hi-Res textures, Jedi robes making butts HUGE, lack of macros or addon support (mousover macros, Threat Bar/Notification on Aggro Gain or Loss), Spell Alerts (Combat Support Cell at 30 stacks), replacing that 2nd bar under player's nameplate with your resource (Focus, Force, Energy, Ammo), etc. But this just makes me a troll. What about people who feel the same way we do? What the heck are we? Fantrolls? I guess it's time for the real trolls to rip apart my post. Have at it. Sorry it didn't really have a point. Regardless, thanks for reading. I hope you all have a great weekend.
  4. I'd love this feature as long as it isn't just limited to Hair/Beards. How about Cybernetics too? I'd love to be able to change my character's Cybernetics. Also, people, this has nothing to do with WoW. There are plenty of other games, both online and offline, that offer the choice to recustomize your character.
  5. I disagree. Bioware has given not once, not even twice, but multiple warnings that the decision is permanent. From the in-game codex entry, the tutorial tip, the initial quest giver for your AC and the actual AC trainer dialogue to the e-mail congratulating you on level 10 for your class, it's been stated time and time again. Really now, how many more notifications that it's permanent do we need? I don't mean to play devil's advocate, but it's called an Advanced Class. Once you choose your AC, there's even a tutorial tip telling you you can only Respec your talent tree. The only thing I'd agree that would need to change is having confirmation boxes. Honestly, one might not even be enough. Adding "Are you sure you want to be a [Jedi Sage] (Damage, Heal)? Confirm/Deny" followed by "This decision is permanent and cannot be changed! [Jedi Sage] (Damage, Heal) Confirm/Deny" after which you should ever more clearly be aware, for about the 8th(?) warning at this point that the choice is binding, and it's a point of no return for your character. One thing that could possibly help is also putting Battle Positions (Ranged, Melee) into AC descriptions. For example [Jedi Sage] (Ranged Damage, Ranged Heal) / [Jedi Shadow] (Melee Damage, Melee Tank] and maybe a preview of the abilities they can learn at level 10 (such as a Heal for Sage or Dual Wield for Shadow). That could alleviate some issues and prevent a few accidents. I understand, accidents do happen and maybe someone just wasn't looking or paying attention close enough. My partner accidentally chose Sage thinking that was the Dual Wield tree and he was pretty disappointed after finding out he chose the improper one. However, it wasn't a big issue. We were only level 10. We rerolled together, blazed through Typhon in 3 hours and now he's a Shadow. I know it's a terrible example, but the only other game I've personally played with an AC-like option was Aion. You started as a Warrior and chose Gladiator (2-H) or Templar (1-H+Shield). Even in Aion, they stated the choice was permanent. There was no turning back from becoming a Gladiator and choosing Templar at a later date. Yeah-yeah, terrible game, blah-blah-blah. But in WoW (oh, no!) you couldn't go from Warrior and change your class to Paladin or suddenly become a Priest from a Mage. Think of our talent trees like WoW's. Priest has a ranged damage tree and a healing tree as does the Sage. That Priest can't decide to all of a sudden become a Rogue and change their class to a Rogue whenever they wanted to. It doesn't make sense. They can, however, reroll just like we can. I don't want everyone to be "WoW Druids." What would be the uniqueness in a character if you can go from Tank, Heal, Melee Damage, and Ranged Damage on a whim? Paladins are just as bad, except they lack Ranged Damage. TL;DR Same as the first line in my response, I disagree.
  6. I agree with SargeCXI wholeheartedly. Restrict Dual-Specs until after Act I is completed and limit it to only your AC (as in, no changing from Guardian to Sentinel) and we should be good to go! Also, Bioware, could you implement an option where I could rate a thread even after I've posted a reply without having to double post? Thanks!
