  1. Or that they can take out mods and put them in items they like , but lets just keep the **** fit going.

    This.

you guys seem to fail to remember how they are moving to F2P, which means that the vanity features (aka armor) are going to be the only thing they will make money from.

Strategically, it's a correct choice, and I hope that I will see always more players going toward clothing because of the look; it's better than seeing everyone dressed up all the same

  2. The game as it is now incentivates to max out companion's affection in order to get the bonus. Once maxed out, I can go below this point by doing dailies...

therefore the logical conclusion is that I should not use them to run missions with me!!

Could you please give the crew skill bonus at values below 10'000/10'000 please? I believe that 9'900/10'000 would already be enough in order to fix this annoying thing.

  3. I believe this game AS OF NOW, has still huge potential. I'm not a fanboy but I have fun when I play it.

The real problem is that such potential is still not exploited because of many factors (such as loading time or poor choices). What simply doesn't make any sense is that a game focused on story, companions and creating alts does not consider this into the endgame. For example, as a darkside smuggler I completed my storyline and I received some specific goodies which I'm not going to spoiler here; how comes that it is NEVER mentioned again?

Adjusting this can be really easy: it's a matter of incentives and rewards. Let's say that my darkside smuggler is not interested in the republic... why should it go to fight SOA? What if his 'mentor' from Port Nowhere tells him that there is a unique artifact to be collected there? Just change a few things and that's it!

I like this game, but I still cannot believe how easily we have been detached from our storyline.

  4. Lemme help you out. Every week, submit 3 questions. From those 3, select one of the responses below.

"We've got that on our idea board"

"That's a great suggestion, I'll pass it along"

"We're just beginning testing on that"

"I'm pleased you brought that up"

"We don't have any plans for that at this time, but we like the suggestion"

"I can't comment on the specifics yet"

    "Soon"

"You'll be pleased to know we're still working on that"

"I can't give you a date, but soon!"

"We're anxious to tell you more about that, but we're not able to quite yet"

That's actually VERY true... I don't miss them anymore

  5. PS: Id also like PVE and PVP daily/weekly terminals aboard ships (Option)

Well, this was my initial idea :)

honestly I think it should be also easy to implement... and it goes toward player housing in a such way that if you want, you could live on the ship.

  6. I believe that from now the player base can only increase; the improvements are solid.

It is proven that word of mouth marketing works (think about the marketing done for Apple by the apple fan boys back in the days); then why do not ask the current players to bring in some new ones?

Of course, asking will not work... but incentives do! Examples?

    - Offer special mounts to players who bring in new players

    - Offer special titles...

    - ....................... vanity pets ...

    - ....................... color crystals ...

F2P is not the only way to increase player base, but you MUST get new players to try the game... once it "feels" a game worth to kill the market.

Let the Force be with the current player base ;)

  7. My names are taken (legacy and char).

For the char I changed an "o" with an "ø", I suggest you guys do the same.

For the Legacy name I just changed it with a better one; I still cannot see it as a last name since it goes across all chars... I feel like they are all sibilings

  8. I'm Italian and I've always played soccer on my consoles. FIFA was my choice until 1998, then PES came along and I felt like the whole nation moved to this new franchise. A few years ago, EA decided to take the crown back, and now PES is losing ground on sales.

Morale: EA/BioWare will fight with the big guns, even if almost dying, to mantain profitability.

By the way, do you think they will run out of the investment that quickly? MMOs are a new segment for them, I think they will not cannibalize their market... meaning that to expand the segment they will focus on SWTOR. Moreover, I believe they are addressing the right problems with every fix (regardless of the bugs) and having played the other big MMO I feel that this one has a better feel.

I would say to have faith in the game

  9. Developers want to make us wear what we want, while players want a minimum of "reality" (i.e., wear proper looking armor in accordance to the class).

Now the game is phasing adaptive armor: but is it the right thing to do? I've heard complaints that lore-wise a player dressed like a dancer should not be able to tank properly.

Hardcore players then, want to be able to get better gear than the casual players.

What about limiting the liberty of what people should be able to wear? I have the feeling that there's no need for a traditional system light/medium/heavy, but instead to regulate the armoring by putting incentives related to the class wearing it.

HOW? Very simple actually: gear won't come with light/medium/heavy but instead it will provide an unchangeable armoring slot which will include one of the main stats (cunning, strenght, willpower, aim....) and possibly something else such as endurance. These armoring should be better than the crafted ones by a small amount in order to make them unique and appealing to hardcore players, but most of all they should not be locked and unpossible to delete. Social gear will have an empty slot instead, making them still viable.

Do you think this system could ever work in SW:TOR?

  10. Planets in SWTOR are beautiful, but also huge and empty. I like them this way, but after a while I got tired of going around with the speeder and seeing nothing (Hoth - Tatooine mainly).

I would propose to upgrade the speed increase from the actual:

    90%

    100%

    110%

    to a more enjoyable

    100%

    150%

    200%

    Bests
