  1. Both in item preview window and in game , on my female bounty hunter and on my male sith's companion Ashara, all geometry except the items themselves, and their face, is no longer visible On my bounty hunters female companion, Mako, they appear normal. Both Mako and bounty hunter are cyborgs, so it is not a race issue.
  2. Tythus, please stop talking out of your rear end. Earth does NOT have a 24 hour day/night cycle. Hours are a base 60 formula created by an ancient tribe (mayan or aztec if memory serves) that was adopted by the romans, and thus has become the foundation of modern society. It is NOT a scientific method of measurement, which is why genuine scientists, when preparing reports and making notes will list the amount in seconds, a standardised metric unit of measuring time. I am in full support of what the OP says. This game is BEHIND in what almost every other good mmo is doing, in virtually every way. Please, do NOT mention world of warcraft as a good game. Popular =/= good. Proof? Smoking. Bad. Really bad. Really popular. The PVP system, while slightly innovative with the huttball minigame, is still subpar compared to even the likes of WoW. The guild/craft/immersion/living world is far behind SWG, which is still alive on private servers, by the way. Using WoW as a base for combat mechanics was a decent idea, because the mechanics system is well established, as are the formulas. The dialogue system is behind the times when compared to the likes of Dragon age, Mass Effect 1/2/3, but better then most other mmos. The lack of option to change own appearance, if at least tattoos, hair, and make up is annoying. Sure, it is VERY trivial, but it is also VERY simple to implement. The game needed more programming time. People need to realise that there is NO reason for this game to be as behind as it is. Not dev time, nothing. They have been working on it for 6 years, and an article that the client promoted last month/early this month said, basically: 6 years dev time, 200 million dollar price tag, 600 developers. I doubt the last part, was probably a typo and they meant 60. This number did include writers, by the way. The removal of same sex flirts and marriages was also a pathetic decision. Simply make it an option in game menu to either enable or disable same sex, for those backwards religious people that can not tolerate the idea even though it is a very natural occurance, with over 1200 documented subsentient species and 3 sentient species having same sex relations (3 sentient? Human, other primates, dolphins and their kin) The game has A LOT of potential, but it does feel like they didnt actually try. They took WoW, cloned it, created some new fancy art and occassionally well written stories, and thats it. No actual trying to push the envelope. No giving next gen high res graphical options for those who could handle it (the art features already exist. That is how they make low res look better. By using the normal maps of extreme high res stuff) I, for one, will not be sticking around if, come march when they supposedly release the next major content pack, the game is not improved. I have 60 days free, 1 month is down. Lets hope I was stupid, and supported a company that promised lots, like Cryptic, for 2 years. I will not do it with bioware. I am probably the biggest bioware fan boy you will meet, but let's face it. The bioware management does not have the balls to make a truely amazing mmo.
  3. 1) Dancer gear needs to be fixed. I tested it on Ashara Zavros, Mako, and my cyborg bounty hunter. Mako is the only one it displays properly on. On the others, all geomertry except face, and clothes is invsibile. 2) Quick travel time needs to be droped. At least to 30 minutes. RE: 1) I do not understand how this could be missed. Is the bioware QA team so poor as to not test clothing that is created on basic characters? EDIT: I meant 15 minutes
  4. I just need to correct you. I believe what you are trying to say is the following::: "You obviously never played Everquest, this is the crafting system they had. It is a good crafting system when handled correctly, but for those of us with attention defeceit disorder, WoW syndrome, CoD disease, or hollywood brainwashing it is the WORST crafting system to have. We do not want to sit at a freakin crafting table for ages putting things into slots, and hitting a button to make the item. It requires actual effort, attention, and brain usage. Terrible Terrible Terrible idea. Long live games that 5 year olds can play! Now for the rest I would love to be able to choose what my re-eng items are going to be. But having to go through an EQ style crafting system would require me to actually use my brain.
  5. SIDE NOTE: Bioware, please fire the art designers that designed the end game gear for force users. It looks absolutely pathetic. MAIN TOPIC: As I am sure we can all agree the crafting system could be better. However, it could also be a lot worse (look at the crafting system in world of trek made by craptic which is now owned by pathetic world - and I was a player with a lifetime sub. Fortunately, got my money's worth long before the change) The purpose of this thread is to provide suggestions for new items that we, as a community, think that Bioware should add to the crafting system, as well as the statistics for such. Please use the following format when submitting ideas Craft Name Binding Restriction Skill Specifics see the below example CYBERTECH Name: Bounty Pod Bind: On Pickup Restriction: Bounty Hunter Skill: 400 Specifics: The bounty pod looks a bit like a cross between Boba's (in)famous ship and the mecha destroyed by the hobgoblin in the first spiderman movie. It is a speeder unique to bounty hunter cybertech crafters, requiring you have cybertech currently at 400 to be able to use. This prevents people from ranking up cybertech just to craft it, then dropping the skill for a different one. It functions as a level 50 speeder, except that you may double tap spacebar to raise into the air. Im thinking, perhaps, no more then 5 meters for the sake of game play balance due to bioware turning an IP like starwars, which features lots of arial and fast-paced moments (x-wings on hoth, anakin jumping off a bridge and latching onto taxi cab, speeders that actually have speed, pod racers, etc) into a slow wow clone. CYBERTECH Name: Mobile Weapons Platform Bind: Bind on use Restriction: NA Skill: 51 Specifics: Rare schematic The mobile weapons platform is a mobile turret that you can set down and remains in position for 30 seconds. The damage it does is dependant on your cybertech skill level, increasing in damage output every 50 skill ranks CYBERTECH Name: Droid Frame Bind: On Pickup Restriction: NA Skill: 150 Specifics: The droid frame allows you to create your own custom droid. This droid will become a companion that you will be able to summon like any other. Once the droid if complete you will need to use the item from your inventory. This will enable you to select a basic 'class type' for your droid, and name it. The droid will then be added to your companion list. No affection is avaliable. The following options will be avaliable: Bipedal: DPS/DPS, Heal Bipedal 1: DPS, dual blasters Bipedal 2: DPS + Heal, single blaster Bipedal 3: DPS, vibro weapons Quadroped: Tank/ Tank, DPS Quadroped 1: Tank, single rifle, shield generator Quadroped 2: Tank + dps, dual rifles, increased armor and defence ratings Vaccuum Cleaner (R2D2 style): Heal/Heal Tank RxDx 1: Heal, Pistols RxDx 2: Heal + Tank, Dual shield generators. Healing increases threat generation
  6. EPIC IDEA I am in full support And seeing as how. Reminds me a lot of custom saber creation in KotOR
  7. All I got to say, really, is ****!!! If you have more then 1 character, and you want to level up another (for instance, I have an assassin, also want a sorcerer), and you have completed all the sidequest missions for each planet, you do not want to do them again. Your class story missions WILL NOT level you up as much as you need to be appropriately leveled. Try hitting hoth, at 1 level higher then the lowest, then just slamming your class missions for Hoth, then Belsavis, then on to Voss. 5 levels too low for Voss, can not kill the story quest enemies for obvious reasons. Leveling through space is a perfectly acceptable thing to do. It is a mission. Each thing killed gives you a small amount of xp. Much less than ground mobs do. So it takes a short amount of time for each mission. Big freaking woop. Is it an exploit? no way in hell. It is not a bug that gives him/her an advantage, in anyway, over any other player. It isnt a z-axis exploit, or an invisibility hack. He probably isnt macro farming the space missions, and he isnt in pvp. He is solo. He is NOT earning equipment, or planet accolades, and it takes HOURS of farming pilot accolades to be able to afford virtually anything of even remote consequence from that vendor. Someone discovered that he can level quickly, spending only (based on what he worked out) 6 hours to get from first ship to early 20s, if not higher. That amount of time can be spent to get any alt character up to a point where they can simply play through the story missions for any character they create, once they get their first ship. This is perfectly acceptable. What if all you want to do is play the story missions? What if you want to ENJOY the STORY of YOUR class? People like you piss me off more then exploiters of genuine game breaking bugs, because there is NOTHING wrong with what is being done, but you feel so harmed by it, even though it has nothing to do with you.
  8. I do not know where else to post this, but take a look: http://i41.tinypic.com/33xzig2.jpg She is wearing the imperial dancer gear from the security key vendor. Bioware, are you planning to correct this? Also, note that the lower half of her legs are human skin (whitish) coloured.
