  1. "End Game" is basically a term describing anything you can do after level 50, and all of your class quests, etc are over. For SWTOR that would be PVP mostly and a few flashpoints and dailies and weeklies. For a game that has been around a while like WOW it would be close to the same, but there is a bit more content. You might do 40 man raids and heroics and whatnot in WOW, and eventually there will be more content in SWTOR. It seems that most people get bored eventually in the "End Game", but the best solution is probably to roll another toon. Even in WOW people that have been there a long time have several 80's.
  2. I recently made a Sith Inquisitor after playing a Jedi Consular for a while, and I have to say that the Inquisitor is SO MUCH MORE FUN. I've played WOW for a while and I always enjoyed the Alliance because I felt like I was one of the good guys, but so far everything from the story, to the animations to the companions are way cooler for the Empire compared to the Republic. I'm not one of those that says the devs cared way more for the empire and the empire is so much better, etc. but I do have to say that the story so far is way more entertaining. The light vs dark side choices for the Republic (consular) are very obvious, but when playing the Inquisitor there have been several times where the choices are like, "What? That's the light side choice? Really?" The first companion you get for the Inquisitor is awesome and you get to choose a new skin for him as a quest reward. That's pretty legit. What do you guys think as far as Republic vs Empire story line and so on. And I get that people want to play the good guy, and when I watched the opening Empire cinematic, it kind of turned me off from the Empire. But I want this thread to be more about the experience in the story and animations and companions instead of why you like dark vs light better.
  3. So, this is obviously a personal opinion, but I just started playing an Inquisitor (just hit level 10) and so far it is SO MUCH MORE FUN than my Shadow at level 25. I played WOW for a good while and always played Alliance because I liked playing a good guy, but the story, the companion, the look and the abilities are all so much cooler on the Inquisitor. Not comparing light to dark choices and what not, the story is just so much more interesting so far for the empire. Your master is obviously a better choice over the Consular's for obvious reasons and your first companion is a BAMF and the way you have to get him is just a great progression. I'm not one to agree that Bioware likes the Empire way more than the Republic, but it seems like they really got into the Empire story while the Republic was mostly "this seems like a good deed, so we'll put these choices in." Also, in the choices you make for light and dark side, the Consular is so obvious what's good vs evil, but for the Inquisitor, it's like "What? That's the light side choice? Really?" What do you think about this? I may be posting in the wrong thread, but it seems like a class deal.
  4. Regarding the space dailies, how can you tell if it's a daily? I accepted several missions, but I can't tell which are repeatable or dailies. Thanks again to everyone for the help.
  5. I haven't actually purchased any upgrades at this point, which is why it's kind of weird that it shows 40 in my ship screen.
  6. So I've just starting doing some space missions, because they're pretty good xp for lower levels and I have a few questions about upgrading my starship. When I go to the Starship upgrade Vendor and look at the items they'll say things like "upgrade blaster damage to 40." When I look at my starship tab under the character menu it says, with nothing equipped, that my blaster damage is 45. Does this mean I should avoid buying any grade 1 items since the base level with nothing equipped on the ship is higher than what they offer? Or are tool tips just incorrect? Also, does the starship base damage increase with my level? Something that makes me think the tool tips are wrong is that my missile bay says it holds 40, but when I start a mission I only have 16 missiles. Also, I'm a cybertech and read somewhere I should be able to craft starship upgrades. At what level should this happen? I'm about a 130 in cybertech right now, and unless I've totally overlooked them, I haven't see anything yet. Thanks for any help
  7. Anyone notice that when you force push the Sith before the actual battle that his lightsaber falls across his face? Tough sith.
  8. Essentially, yes. The Sith's equivalent of "project" has no ability delay giving them a very slight advantage if they were to come upon a consular in PVP. Other than that they are pretty equal.
