  1. Didn't say anything about taking out the grind. By removing pvp gear, I really meant expertise. Then people who spend time raiding for their gear can still compete in pvp.

No, expertise is a great system, it really only needs some tweaking (to pre 1.2 numbers....)

PVE and PVP gear shouldn't have the same stats or pvp players would be able to have BiS for pve without even having to do a single operation and the other way around for pve players.

  2. if you lvl up mostly by pvp i'd say you should pick gunslinger. they wreck havoc in the pre50 bracket.

scoundrel dps doesn't get good until 40 when you get fletchette round.

soloing pve scoundrel is superior with two messes and heals. i could even solo some +4 heroics. also stealth helps speeding up questing alot.

gunslinger is more work to solo with since you are really squishy.

  3. people get overly butthurt over nerfs, especially when they are unwaranted and based on faulty information like operatives.

but that doesn't change the fact that balancing involves nerfing, and that it really is needed.

so my response to you is

    deal with it

  4. It's similar to a ret pally in WoW. Why stay and take damage when you can stop them and walk away until they just need one shot to kill them?

if sent dmg was on long cds like the ret pally your argument would hold more ground, but as a sent i can always do tons of dmg. so its just not to kite em while their dmg cds is up and then kill them like you would against a ret. lets not forget sent is pretty much unkiteable also.

they should add 50percent dmg reduction from the player while god-mode is active.

  5. Edit; One thing I dont understand, bioware metrics said opratives dmg (hidden strike) was to much?

The only thing we could get 5k+ crit on was non expertise target... vs full bm, nowwhere close.

BUT, maras can crit 5k+ to full BM geared targets.....? where is biowares metric system now?

bw was basing the operative nerf on numbers coming from before buff stacking and surge nerf. so yeah they didn't really understand what they where doing.

  6. sentinel needs to be nerfed, end of story.

seriously, when i play my sentinel i'm always amazed at how easy it is to completely wreck people. if you dont do that while playing sent you are not doing it right.

remove the healing debuff, its not needed anymore.

nerf the god-mode cd or remove it all together. the 30 sec dmg reduction is already good enough.

when the only counter to a class is to stun them or run away you know something is wrong.

  7. You are most likely the type of person who has only had any success playing an MMO, and while I realize it's in your best interest to try to talk people into believing that there is more skill involved than just pressing buttons, that doesn't make it true.

I have been carried by my group mates in the past. That's true. We have a couple of scoundrels in our guild that no matter what the situation, they work together and can get a node or plant a bomb. On the other hand, I've also carried them as well, running the ball, keeping our healer alive and guarding doors, ect.

Why are those scoundrels good at it? Because they are talking to each other in our team speak. So the difference between those two and another two scoundrels since they have the same abilities, and they are all just pressing buttons is what?

This is the definition of the clueless people I was talking about.

"I'm a monkey, I press buttons herp derp"

  8. This new system is really bad.. it really really is.

They should use the old medal/comm ratio before the four medal system but a player on the losing team should be capped to 70-80 comms and the cap for the winning team around 100-120. That would sort out everything.

  9. Not at all, I just don't expect more from something that is intially in place to help with my own personal shortcomings. The fact that it's even there is enough for me, but then again, I wash my own clothes, do my own dishes and hoover my own carpets. Life has bigger problems than the customer support in a virtual world for a videogame a few million people play. Just me though, I suppose I have a more acute perspective being in the role myself.

The difference here is that most people are not as submissive as you. Some people expect support and help with services and products they buy no matter what it is.
