  1. Loot drops from Hardmode bosses should not be specific to a class (ie Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior). Instead, the drop should be a generic coin/gem/commendation that any class can win and turn in for a specific type of loot. This is Dungeon Loot Distribution 101.

     

    The current system, predictably, awards loot drops for classes that are not present.

     

    Heck, what happened to the Loot Bag we kept hearing about before launch? Even that would be preferable to this crap. The current system involves two layers of randomness: the first and most important layer is the RNG that will determine if a piece relevant to your class will drop, followed by the RNG roll to compete against any other toons from an identical base class. It rarely fails that I'll run a Flashpoint with an Assassin tank, a Sorcerer DPS, a Mercenary DPS, and a Sorcerer Healer only to have a Sith Warrior or Imp Agent item drop. My companions are gearing up faster than I am, because I win greed rolls on these useless pieces.

     

    This system that you've developed, Bioware, is very discouraging. It takes upwards of an hour to complete any given Flashpoint, and in the end you wind up without any reward.

     

    And what's our alternative? A single columi commendation and some (useless) Tionese crystal drops? Seriously? When Columi gear costs 67 commendations per piece? That's pretty bogus.

  2. What he said is quite true, this a random SS from some solo queing I did with my tank specc, no pocket healer. Darkness pvp is laughable easy to do well with.

    Yes we did loose the game, but I cant really carry 7 other ppl if they are all underperforming.

    This screen shot must have been taken a while ago, since there's no conceivable way that you could get a 5k+ heal without using a medpack... and medpacks no longer produce healing medals.

     

    That being said, this looks like a darkness/madness hybrid. I clicked on your sig link and I see that you use Stalker gear, which makes sense. I'm betting that makes all the difference, so I'll start collecting some stalker gear, as well.

  3. It also removed one of our major utilities, switching to defensive stance and shielding.

     

    Which in turn messes with both optimal peeling rotations and our ability to take sustained damage by switching stances.

     

    They really, really want all Assassins to play tank. Not only can one of our major CC's (spike) be used out of stealth as tank BUT that spec has the only ranged utility of any in Pull.

     

    I'm sorry--Spike is a major CC? A two second stun? Really?

     

    Not whirlwind? Not electrocute? Not Mind Trap?

     

    Also, why do you write entirely in italics? It makes reading your posts very awkward.

  4. Hey, you need to quiet down before people wise up on how good assassins can be.

     

    But yeah, im usually at 300k+ damage, 75k+ protection and 50k+ healing every match, 10-14 medals.

     

    This patch slightly buffs my spec as well.

     

     

    I find this hard to believe.

     

    I'm wearing all Survivor champion/columi gear, and I rarely get above 150k damage, no matter how much I'm not focusing on objectives and just trying to kill crap. I'd like to know what kind of gear you're wearing to get 300K damage plus 75k protection and 50k healing. It just doesn't seem feasible to me.

     

    Did you modify the Survivor gear with Stalker mods? Do you simply use Stalker sets?

     

    Bear in mind that I've only recently gotten geared, so I'm still trying to work out how to balance PvE survivability as a tank with my usefulness in PvP matches. That being said, I'd be surprised if your statement doesn't contain a bit of hyperbole.

  5. The Tooltips been buffed and it was hitting around 600ish this morning and now its hitting closer to 1kish. So i think its been buffed in the little mini patch today.

     

    Whew, I hope so. Can't wait to get off work and try it out.

    I dont think it every did/is intended to... would be seriously OP if so considering the CD on wither.

     

    But then why have a skill that increases the damage output by 10% per point, up to three points? And why advertise a 15% damage increase to the skill in the Patch Notes?

     

    It's the capstone ability of the Darkness Tree, and if it worked as advertised, it would be balanced against Deception's Voltaic Slash, another capstone ability.

     

    I'm not entirely sure because there was a lot going on. I noticed the lowest I was hitting for was about 850, although it's tough to sort out all the numbers flying up with your active spells, passive stuff like dark charge damage/heals, harnessed dark heal numbers, and team mate heals.

     

    I'm not fully geared, so my mileage is probably less than the status quo, but I average 800 and crit for around 1.1k, which is why I ask. I believe I should be hitting for 1.1k or 1.2k, and critting for 1.6-1.8k.

  7. Yeah mine nearly doubled. I did the new FP in hard mode last night and I was hitting 3-4 mobs for 1.1K+ quite a bit compared to the typical 5-600 I was getting.

     

    And that's without a critical hit?

  8. The tooltip now says that Shock and Wither have a 100% chance to grant a charge of Harnessed Darkness. However, it still remains that only Shock is granting the charge. Wither is acting and behaving just as it was prior to patch 1.1.

     

    Gotcha.

     

    Also, does anyone know if Wither was ACTUALLY buffed by 15%? I'm not seeing that it is. Nor am I seeing that my 3 Mounting Darkness points are increasing Wither's damage output by 30%.

  9. As per the tooltip, Wither is not granting a stack of this buff. specced to try it out as seeing you could get to three stacks very quickly with wither included with shock.

     

    Working normally with shock.

     

    Wait, what? Are you saying that Wither is now stacking Harnessed Darkness? Or are you saying that it isn't. Cause that's not a bug...

     

    Or are you saying that the tooltip is informing you that Wither should, but it is in fact not?

  10. Is Wither properly scaling up for you guys with Mounting Darkness and the recent buff added with patch 1.1? I ask because by looking at the TOR Head calculators and comparing them to my current 31/0/10 build, I don't see the 30% + 15% increase that Wither is supposed to have. The skill still shows default damage in my tooltip and I'm doing around 800 damage non-crit. Shouldn't I be doing 1200 (average) non-crit?
  11. All the professions get perks only usable by them. Get Biochem or plan on buying the non reusable versions from one.

     

    Also do you even know how much the pvp heal stims heal for? I bet you don't.

     

    This isn't true--what does Artifice get that only they can use? Nothing.

     

    Let others use purple biochem products outside of implants. The way it's set up now is ridiculous. Some professions have OBVIOUS advantages over others.

    What Willpower:Endurance ratio are you guys finding the most success with as a tank in multiple situations--PvP, PVE, leveling, etc. If you're 50, which gear are you running with, and what are your stats?

     

    I'm lvl 37 and I've got something like 715 Endurance to 563 Willpower, or about a 1.27:1 ratio.

  13. Saw the 4th or 5th node last night that would not allow me to harvest it since the patch that supposedly fixed this.

     

    Anyone else having this issue?

     

    Yup, broken nodes still plague the world. The only difference is that now your cursor will highlight them, though not correctly. Still can't harvest certain dead nodes.

  14. The other day I purchased my first schematic for cybertech. While my skill wasn't high enough to learn it yet, I was so excited - I had the schematic for the level 25 custom built hoverbike! Once I could make these everyone would have one! I grinded out my cybertech skill until I could finally make them. When my companion came back from crafting I threw open my inventory only to find...it was already bound to me! What a waste! It is essentially a one time use schematic. Why would BW do this?!

     

    Please BW, rethink the mount schematics being automatically bound after crafted.

     

    What's really strange about your situation is that there is a category on the GTN specifically for the trade of vehicles.

  15. you should have blue from a trainer actually. I have a few of my own I got from a trainer (does me no good as I'm Dark 2 so I don't craft them yet)

     

    Yeah, I got a blue schem for a yellow crystal, but I'm interested in getting some blue and purple schems for the red, blue, and green crystals. Anyone had any success with these ones?

  16. Here's another question:

     

    I've been trying for the life of me to get one of the basic color crystals to proc a blue schem. So far, no luck. Has anyone been able to get a blue proc on one of the beginner crystals?
