  1. Also George Lucas has always been funny about his role in the EU and details in between movies, I like to think of G-canon as a purely movie based item. This is mainly due to the claim of Sidious being the most powerful sith of all time which is definitely not true. In the movies yes, but in the grand scheme of things absolutely not. Killing his master in his sleep rather than actually over coming him is one detail we cannot forget.
  2. His story sure, I can see Vader having an apprentice, its not likely, but its possible and for balance purposes Marek would almost definitely turn light side. But the force powers no way, absolutely not, I think George Lucas's part was purely story related. I just think if the force was "easily capable" of doing some of those things it would be more noticeable in other characters who are supposedly the most powerful, like luke skywalker for instance.
  3. Why do people always bring up Starkiller? His existence in the EU is debatable at best and his powers exaggerated to make the video game actually fun. If you notice in the books and movies they typically dont bring down starships with the wave of a hand.
  4. Think about the things that he did, not only in the movies, but the expanded universe as well. Holy **** was he wise and powerful.
  5. Anakin could have been extremely powerful if he had continued his training, he was created by the force for ***** sake, but his Vader form had many flaws in its design and he had to create a new kind of lightsaber form just to compensate. Revan reached his prime and could easily best Vader.
  6. Jesus... First of all, Yoda wasn't bested by the Sidious, he fled after he almost defeated Sidious because he ran out of time. They went into hiding because they knew they were no match for the entire Galactic Republic. The jedi were thought of as traitors and they were to be killed on sight. The only way to preserve the jedi was to go into hiding and protect Anakin's children who would undoubtedly be force sensitive. Obi-wan couldn't train him in the force for **** loads of reasons. His connection to his father, he would have to be trained while living with his family which was forbidden (attachments). Finally, the reason he didn't kill Vader was because he couldn't bring himself to. He couldn't in the third, even after he cut off his arms and legs lol, he didnt finish him. Also he knew there was still light in Vader, but knew that he wasn't capable of bringing him back. But he knew that Luke could. **** the notion that Yoda and Obi-wan, two of the most powerful force users in history were cowards, **** it.
  7. His existence in the actual story line is debatable.
  8. Under no circumstance would I ever call Palpatine the greatest sith when he couldn't even kill Plagueis on even ground (killed him in his sleep). My top are Darth Revan, Darth Bane, and Darth Plagueis. Luke is a solid number one in the end for the Jedi though.
